She looked at him and considered him for a minute. If he was a counselor, he probably would have told her to go back to the cabins. This had to be a camper...
She looked at her clay. "I could go with you, but would you mind if I sculpted you while you swam? I like sculpting moving things. It's more expressionistic and more relate-able to people. At least, that's what I think. So, what do you say?"
She had only sculpted or painted a few real life people. Most people didn't really want to be a model for someone.

"Fine," he said. He was planning on taking his swim test now. It was at this moment that the counselor taking the ID's made the announcement over her red and white bullhorn:
"If you want to take your swim test, you may do so right now, but if you choose to do this, it's for the purpose of taking the test, you may not go and play in the water. Not until later anyway. And you may only take it once for today if you're taking it now. If you fail, you'll have to wait until the waterfront opens at ten. It will close during meal-times and at eight p.m. each night."
"I'm going for it right now so that way, I'll be ahead while everyone else is changing into theirs. "
He went down the hill and onto the dock. Jumping into the cold water was like jumping into the water near the ice caps.
"Okay, here's how it works: Your feet cannot touch the bottom at any point. You have to swim to that buoy over there-it's about sixty feet away. Then you have to swim over to where the raft and trampoline are and tread water for seven minutes non-stop. If your head dips below the surface, you fail. If you touch the bottom, you fail. If you get tired and stand up, you fail. If you stop, you fail. During the treading water part, if you decide to be a smartass and suck in your breath and float on your back, you fail. Do it in under ten minutes and you pass. Once you pass, swim over to the dock where we will award you one of these neon colored bracelets. They signify that you passed your swim test and will allow you to take advantage of whatever water sports this camp has. You cannot do much unless you pass this test," said the lifeguard on duty.
He got ready to take his test.
"Ready? Three....Two...One...GO!!!!!" said the lifeguard blowing his whistle.
And he was off swimming freestyle to the buoy. It was tough because the bottom of the lake here was so shallow that it was hard not to touch the bottom. However, as he got out more, the lake became more deeper.

Jessi hauled all of her stuff down to the lake, set up in a spot that was out of the way but had a clear view of the swimmers, and began sculpting. When she heard what the counselor said, though, she had to stop herself from shivering. She'd hate to have to wear an ugly neon bracelet all of the time just to swim.
Her scraper went quickly, yet gently, over the thick clay, making thick, 3-D lines, trying to make them look like waves.

Barely leading the group of six swimmers, he reached the buoy first touching it. The others soon gained on him however and one passed him. Now it was a race eh? Then it shall be!
He went to the raft and began treading water in slow even movements. He was collarbone high in the water for in this area it was about fifteen feet deep.
Finally the lifeguard called "TIME!" and handed each of them a limegreen neon bracelet, fitting it to their wrist size.
Walking off the dock shivering, he took a towel and tried to warm himself up. But in the coldness of the morning, he realized that it was even colder with the air temperature.
It was now 7:20 a.m.
"So now what do you want to do?" he asked her.

Jessi arched her eyebrow. "You know, you're pretty good at swimming. Are you an athlete or something?"

"I once was," he said reluctantly. "I figure that they'll be serving breakfast in forty-five minutes or so, if you want to join me you may." He headed for the mess hall. Pulling out his iPod, he selected Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" then went over to the announcement system. It was seven thirty a.m. He turned the volume all the way up and played it over the announcement system: (( I'm pretty sure you all are familiar with this song, right?))

Her eyes widened when she saw and heard what this guy did. She ran over to him and the announcement system. "You ARE a camp counselor or something, aren't you?! How else would you be able to play this through the announcement system?!"

((Umm....should I make him a camp counselor or not???))
He didn't answer her. He just rick-rolled the camp and everyone started to become cranky over it.

(Up to you! biggrin And, uh, I don't know what 'rick-rolled' is. lol)
Jessi frowned slightly. "Um, hello? I don't mean to be rude, but I asked you if you were a camp counselor or not."
She rubbed her forehead, again unwillingly getting clay on her forehead.

((I'm not sure what to make of him yet. I haven't even given him a name. [I deleted Allen Masterson, I think that he should stick to the main storyline only.] As for Rick-Rolling, You take a Youtube link [Like a popular news-story for example], and you link it up with a Rick Astley music video so that when people click on that video, they get the music video that I just posted here or a variant of it. It can also refer to fooling around with an announcement system [Like the kind Target or Wal Mart might have], hitting page and paging a Rick Astley song. I'll send you an example.))
"I sorta am," he said. And then walked away.

(Oh! I've seen that! It was on April Fool's day)
Jessi's jaw dropped slightly. What the hell was that supposed to mean?! Sorta?
However, she couldn't keep a smirk from playing on her lips. Interesting. She liked interesting... interesting situations that is. It helped to inspire her art.
She then started walking to the mess hall to eat breakfast, not caring that she was covered in clay. She also wasn't worried about anyone messing with her sculpture by the lake. It wasn't really in plain sight. You'd have to be looking for it in order to find it.

He put on his MP3 player and waited for the breakfast to begin. Surely, there were more campers coming now. By tomorrow, they would have had mostly everyone here and that was a good thing. But in the meantime, it sure was quiet around here...

Jessi sat down in a corner of the cafeteria. She just stared at the guy she had sculpted swimming, trying to decipher his story and if he was a counselor or not. He seemed interesting. Sometimes she would just stare and things or people, interesting things and people, drawing inspiration from them.

He snuck out a bowl of pudding from the cafeteria and retreated back to his cabin with the bowl. Eating it as he walked over there, he saw that there were more people here now.Cabin D was now full. He saw that people were dressing or already dressed and getting ready.
He sat down on his bed and ate the pudding while tuning into the radio up here.

Mitsuki and Emmett both heard the announcement about the swimming test, and both immediately headed for their cabins. Nothing like a good swim in freezing cold water at some god forsaken hour of the morning. Mitsuki acknowledged the girl who'd taken the bed next to her with a nod of the head, ignoring the...she could only call it a lump on her back. Well, it wasn't her fault, she thought, and smiled briefly.
She despised people who made fun of others, and right then and there decided to make it her personal mission to beat the living snot out of anyone who made fun of her new cabin mate. She got her chance quickly when a tall, blond-from-a-bottle girl walked over, her perfectly manicured hands propped on her waist.
"What is this, freak camp? What's wrong with you?" She demanded, smirking. Grinning devilishly, Mitsuki took a single step forward. "What's wrong is she has to look at your ugly, gunk covered face as soon as she gets here. Can't say I appreciate the view much either, so why don't you just get lost?" She demanded, as the other girls in the cabin became silent. To make a point, Mitsuki pulled down her shades slightly, glaring with eyes that had become a dark shade of blood red.
The girl shuddered once before taking an instinctive step back. "You just stay on your side of the cabin, freaks! We don't want to be around you anyway, right?" She demanded of the girls behind her. They hadalready silently agreed to ignore her, and she gaped at them, shocked. "Come on! Do you honestly want a bunch of..." She trailed off when Mitsuki got right up to her, her face an inch away. "A bunch of what?" She demanded, challenge in her eyes. The girl studdered helplessly for a moment, before turning on her heel and stalking away, fuming.
"Well, now that that's done..." She muttered, turning to her duffle bag and grabbing a one piece swimsuit out of her duffle bag. Walking into the bathroom, she returned out moments later before throwing her clothes in a heap on her bed. Then, without a word, she strode out of the cabin again, her sunglasses pushed upon top of her head since her little encounter had allowed her to vent her annoyance for the moment. Therefore, her eyes had returned to that murky gray color.
