Myoa smiled at Luna. "Then you know where I am coming from; I hate knowing that you suffered. I wish I could share some of my good fortune with you. It's unfair for me to hoard all the happiness."
She sighed, then brightened up. "But you're right, enough's enough. The past's in the past, we're living in the present and looking forward to the future. How have your other three children been? Your offspring with Shadow's. Have they all grown up and found partners of their own? You know I'm just waiting for you to become a grandmama of your own," she teased, laughing a little.
When did we all grow up?

Lunathiel smiled sadly at this. Yes, she understood her wish but is just wasn't something that could happen. "It would be unfair to you if I took some of your luck." She said trying to brighten her smile. "Besides, it isn't all bad. I have five lovely children and an awesome mate. That's good enough for me." Had it been a couple years ago she would not be saying things like this. Times had changed.
"Well...none of them have really grown." She said lightheartedly thinking about her rather foalish children. "Their bodies have gotten bigger but their minds have not really changed." This was how a reunion should go. Reflecting on pleasant things that have happened not the bitter things the past had thrown. "And only one has found himself a girl. A pretty little one if I understood him correctly." She smiled at the thought of being a grandmother. It was about time too!

Myoa smiled as the conversation took a happier turn. As long as the present was problem-free, then the past could stay in the past, she decided. Again, she was struck by how much time had passed. She had been so out of touch with Luna that her friend's crisis was now only a distant memory.
Myoa laughed at Luna's description of her adult-sized foals. "Sounds like my daughter," she said. "She's as playful and as innocent as a filly, although thankfully, she's lost some of her naivete." A shadow of a frown passed through Myoa's face, although she quickly recovered and banished it with a forced smile. "My son on the other hand as long since gone his own way. It's been a while since his last visit," she said, ending with a little sigh.

She smiled, so many children these days just refused to grow mentally. She didn't mind it though, they were cute that way and she simply adored cute things. She didn't miss the saddened look that flashed briefly across her friends face. She knew the feeling far too well, few of her children had visited her since they left the nest so to speak.
"Come on now...that just means they found something to entertain themselves with." She said rubbing against her friend gently. If she had a longer mane she would have opted for tugging on it but that may not show the same feeling. "Don't be sad about it. Maybe when they return to you you'll have more grandbabies, hmm?"

Myoa laughed and fondly nudged her friend back. "Oh heavens, I just pray that he'll settle down first! Danuwa, my youngest son, the one who has kindly elevated me to the status of grandmother twice, has yet to be mated. I believe that his two sets of children are by two different mares." Myoa frowned slightly. She didn't exactly approve of her son having children before love; she just hoped that her grandchildren had been raised properly.
"I'm actually more worried about my daughter," Myoa admitted. "At least Danuwa is putting himself out there, Dani prefers staying either with my mate and me or in the tepee. Lately she's been venturing out more but....." Myoa sighed. "I must say I'm glad for her company, and a part of me still selfishly wants to cling on to my little girl."

Lunathiel couldn't help but space out a bit at the descriptions of her fying firend's children. They reminded her very much of a troublesome pair, Dark and Scarlet. She pulled a slight face just thinking about Dark and sighed as well.
"Myoa, I feel your pain." She said simply giving her head a slow shake. She knew just how it felt to deal with an irresponsible stallion and as for a mare that never really left home...she sighed again.
"It's not selfish of you at all to want your kids to stay with you. Course at some time down the road you're going to want her to stay away for longer." She laughed slightly not knowing for sure if Myoa would react the same way she did.

Myoa's mouth curled upward in amusement at Luna's face. "You've met a lot of interesting Soquili, haven't you," she said, phrasing the sentence as a statement. "With interesting being a kind word to use?" She nudged her lightly. "You have an overdose of pain, Luna."
"Yes, at some point I believe I'll just end up giving Dani a little shove out the door," Myoa said, laughing a bit. "I think it's that I want Dani to settle down and find love on her own, while she still stays close to me." She pouted, or rather attempted to, since her giggles rather ruined the effect. "I have never met Danuwa's kids. A part of me yearns for the day where there'll be colts and fillies scrambling all over the place."

"It would seem that way Myoa." She said laughing. She was not sure what it was about her two-legger or if it was the human at all but somehow many bizarre characters had come to live with them at least for a month. Life certainly never was dull for her but at times she was not sure it was such a good thing. "It's really not all that painful." She said with a slight smile wondering if she should have selected a different word. "Mostly they're just annoying."
"Perhaps you should send your girl to find your grandbabies?" She sugested ignoring the little voice in the back of her head telling her that it was a dumb idea. "That takes care of both problems I would think."

(( >3;; Actually, Dani's going to meet her brother while he's looking for his children from his OCC breeding. ))
Myoa laughed, understanding. "Annoyance is pain enough, just a different, more irritating kind of pain," she said. "But definitely less dangerous," she agreed, after a moment's thought.
"Send Dani out to find her nieces and nephews?" Myoa repeated. "That's actually quite a good idea, although it may take a a while to convince Dani." Now that she thought about it, Myoa would go herself, were it not for the fact that she felt settled and content where she was. A little exploring and adventure would do her daughter more good than it would Myoa.

"Definitely." She agreed with a giggle. "Of course it does make me wonder if you can be bugged to death." She pulled a completely straight face and turned her head up to the sky as though thinking about it before laughing again. It was a good thing that it was becoming easier to laugh and harder to broad on things. She turned her head down to face her friend.
"You could just tell her there would be something in it for her when she returned." She suggested before becoming rather horrified with herself. Bribing children. She snorted softly and rolled her eyes. She had spent far too much time around Dark. Just thinking of it was bad but she had actually suggested it to a friend, that was worse. "Ahhhh...just forget I said that...kay Myoa?"

"Luna!" Myoa said, sputtering in between laughs. Innocent little Luna, suggesting bribery! She giggled relentlessly. "I'm sorry, but kindly realize that I'm never going to let your forget that," she teased.
"But anyways," she said innocently, "What do you think would entice little Dani into looking for my grandchildren? Or should I just hold her sea otter companion hostage?" She tossed her head and smiled sweetly, as if she hadn't just approved of blackmail and bribery.

"I though so." She said letting out a small sigh. Just her luck that she would say something like that around a friend who wouldn't let her live it down. Oh well, she supposed there were worse things that could have been said.
Her jaw dropped as Myoa said one of those worse things. "You're going to kidnap her familiar?" She asked sounding completely stunned, which she was. Hadn't she just been the one practically making fun of her for suggesting a bribe. Bribes were one thing, kidnapping was just wrong no matter what the situation.
She looked happy about it too. Lunathiel shook her head and rolled her eyes. "When I said to forget it I meant it." She said with a hint of laughter. "We're not gonna bribe or force your girl to go do something. maybe just ask her?"
