"A pull of a trigger and you're dead. I don't need you. I simply prefer you." He hissed back, growling to her. "As long as it can be helped, I'll keep you alive." He held himself back from pulling the trigger as she yelled into his ear, his violent programing screaming to lash out.

"It's not whether or not you want me anymore, Allison. I've gotten that. It's a matter of whether or not I want you now." He growled furiously as old skeletons were dug from his metaphorical closet. Taking his finger off the trigger, he bashed the gun into her bare head with the sickening smack of metal hitting bone. He'd refrained himself from hitting her so hard as to crack her skull, but aimed to concuss her.

Tex was caught off hard as the gun bashed across her head. She'd been expecting a bullet. She spun off of O'Malley and landed hard on the ground next to him, breathing but unmoving.

She drifted as she laid there, memories that she'd kept buried taking a moment to wave there ugly faces in front of her eyes. Things she'd done and sometimes wished she hadn't. And things she'd never wished she'd seen. Wash being led away as Epsilon suicided in his mind, York retreating away from the rest of them and turning more and more to his own AI, Carolina's battle for her own mind...her own battle's with O'Malley and the inability to control the impulses he sent to her mind...the last and final fall out with Church...

Tex hung in the middle of it unable to control her own thoughts...

O'malley stumbled to his feat, snapping his dislocated leg back into its socket as is hung lifelessly. He padded around to Tex, hovering over her body as she lay still. His violent urges screamed at him to kill her. He glared angrily down to her limp body, growling as he carefully moved it off to the side, to an area untouched by their violent confrontations.

Urges to silently slip himself into the AI slot of her helmet were shoved to the side as the AI slipped a pill into the freelancers mouth, forcing her to swallow as he ran a paw along her neck. He'd have a chance to bandage her bleeding leg, and have time to leave before the drug wore out.

He slipped the heavily damaged leg piece off from around her, eyeing the clean hole through it. He snarled as he looked at the wound, noting how deep he had shifted the bullet. He fumbled for a moment before pulling a small first aid kit from a pocket in his armor. He removed the small scalpel and alcohol bottle, sanitizing the knife and the wound.

A few moments later a soft chime was heard as a mangled bullet hit the cement floor. A clean needle stitched its way through her flesh, closing the hole tightly. O'malley bound the leg in gauze to stop the blood flow, and with that picked himself up, staring down at her once more. "That should be good enough to keep you alive..." He eyed the helmet that lay askew on the floor one last time before telling himself it was too soon. He silently padded away, knowing he'd have to leave a new trail once again... Who knew how long it'd take her to catch up a second time.

Tex slowly swam back to consciousness. She didn't know how long she'd been out. She looked around at the scene that lay before her.

Her blood was splattered everywhere. She started in shock at the amount that was everywhere. By all rights she should have died from blood loss. She moved slightly and her injured leg twinged. She looked down at it and was surprised to find it bandaged. "What the...?" she couldn't have done this herself...the last thing she remembered was being knocked out. Although she could have very well done it...it wouldn't be the first time she didn't remember treating her own wounds.

Tex stood up testing her leg. It was shaky but she could get moving, slowly at least. She limped over to where O'Malley had thrown her rifles and gathered them up and sighed. She wondered how long it would take her to find him this time....

**167 days later**

O'malley sat silently, his dark black tail swaying unseen in the dark of the night. It had been nearly half a year since he'd been here last, but it had felt all too soon. The memories were still fresh in his artificial mind. His eyes traveled lazily over the dark blood stains on the cement below him. Her blood stains.

He was on his way for another rendezvous with the white clad fox, and had found the familiar place in his path. He remembered sitting in the exact same spot as he watched her throw her helmet across the room, her red hair was still vivid in his mind. The AI looked around the room one last time, sighing and leaping down to the ground in another fit of deja vu.

He padded quietly along the cement, heading towards the same area he left through when leaving the unconscious fem on the floor. The time flashed lazily in the corner of his eye, turning over a minute. His eyes turned to it before he sighed, not wanting to be late. He still had a while to travel before he was at his rendezvous point.

Tex trotted along doggedly. Another half a year gone with only slim leads, false trails, and still nothing concrete to show for it. Except for annoying flare ups with her back leg.

Tex gritted her teeth as her leg began twinging. She refused to let the injury control her pace. She idly thought back to the time when she'd received it. Ideally the only things she knew was that O'Malley had shot her and later knocked her out. After that she still wasn't sure who'd treated her leg. Who- Tex growled. She'd done it. She'd regained consciousness long enough to treat her leg before passing out again. That was the only thing that made since.

Tex finally stopped and go her bearings again. She gasped in shock as she looked down below her. There was the facility where he'd shot her and something was moving down there. Tex swung her sniper rifle off her back and sited the figure that was moving. It was him.

Tex's hands started to shake in anticipation, the pain in her left forgotten. She'd caught back up again. Tex grinned evilly behind her helmet and slid down the slope activating her camo. She wouldn't risk anything yet. She'd just follow for now.

O'malley lazily made his way from the facility, leaving the memories packed away once again in his memory banks. He padded silently down a path, relative silence in the area around him. Tall rock walls soon towered over the sides of the empty path, muffling out any hope of sound from the outside world, yet his footsteps, though deadly quiet, found ways to bounce off the rock and into his ears.

After 20 minutes, he was almost out from the path when he paused, sitting down at the side of the road and pulling out a small canister of water. Though he himself didn't need it, he'd gotten used to having to nourish the body he was in. It became almost a bad habit, like biting your nails.

He sighed, un snapping the holds on his helmet, and slipping it back, enough to expose his muzzle, and drank. The cold liquid slid tastelessly down his throat. After a moment he stopped, pulling the helmet back on and snapping it shut. He knew his body felt tired, yet he couldn't feel it. In a way... he almost wished he could.

Tex followed her former AI, she was running mostly on adrenaline, it made her blood sing in her ears and her twinging leg seemed far away.

She cursed silently as they entered the rocky area, no matter how quite she was the odds were that he'd hear the extra echos from her steps. She'd have to loop around and try to catch him. She activated her invisibility and looped around as fast and quietly as she could. She prepped her rifle as she ran not wanting to waste valuable time once she caught up.

She paused as she finally caught up and watched in shock as O'Malley drank water. She shook herself and made her concentrate. She deactivated her camo and stepped into his line of site rifle at the ready and took a shot at his back leg.

"Miss me?" she hissed at him.

O'malley effortlessly moved away from the bullet that threatened his leg, hearing it clash against the rock and dirt behind him. He'd known the freelancer was following him, as he was, after all, equipped to be her AI, but had momentarily lost track of her when she'd activated her camo. However when she'd appeared in his line of sigh he'd instantly moved out of harms way. Unlike organics, he had no need to wait for signals to travel between limbs and a brain.

"Mmm. Not particularly." He smirked slightly behind his helmet, his gun held up at point towards the freelancer. His eyes traveled down to her once injured leg. "I see you've healed. That could have gotten pretty nasty if it hadn't been bandaged." He rambled aimlessly before pausing for a moment. "It's been a while, Allison." He practically spat out her name.

"Not nearly long enough, Omega." she hissed back. She flicked her tail around her leg not thinking about it. "Lucky me, it didn't end up worse." she said.

Every fiber in her body was screaming to attack, but she knew if she acted rashly she'd end up in the same position she'd been in last time, and this time she had a severe disadvantage. She was still wearing her helmet.

She stared at her former AI and waited. She'd let him make the first move this time.

O'malley watched the fem carefully, not wanting to start up another vicious attack. He'd already injured her the one time and if he had any plans of using her body in the future, he had to make sure it stayed safe.

"I'm surprised you haven't given up on following me around, Allison. I'd think a freelancer such as yourself would have better things to do with her time." He casually chatted, processing different possibilities and consequences different actions could have. He needed to find a way out of the situation without engaging in a fight.

"Nope sorry, your death is high on my list of things to do. You and Wyoming both. I hope thats not to much of a bother for you. I'm sure I can work it around your busy schedule." she said not lowering her rifle any.

Tex glanced around the area. If they got into combat here they'd both be in trouble. The ground wasn't very flat, lots of rocks to get in the way, and there was the fact that she was tired and hungry. She couldn't remember the last time she'd slept well or eaten anything besides rations, and it was starting to show. She'd had to adjust her armor several times as the weight dropped off.

I won't lose this time...I can't lose this time! she swore to herself. I'll take him down this time if it kills me! she thought.
