((Finally off my hiatus. Thank you for being so patient with me! <3 I really missed this RP.))

In the ten minutes that it took for Ronnie to investigate the Elder's teepee, Bright's patience frayed almost to the breaking point. It was true that he enjoyed adulation, but there was a difference between positive attention and having these horrible, half-bald, too-soft things pawing all over his coat. He'd never imagined that the skin of their hands would feel so disturbingly oily. And their constant chatter! Ugh. It was as though they thought they could replace the civilized toss of a mane with horrible breathy screeching.

It was awful. Horrid. Crass. What would it be like to rage freely against him, as his delightful partner-in-crime seemed to do? Would it ease the tension in his shoulders? Would it feel like letting the high winds rush across his pinions?

Tsk. He shouldn't entertain such thoughts. At least Ronnie was doing a good job of taking advantage of the opportunity he'd bought her. The thought of her messing around with the humans' precious trinkets was the only thing keeping the smile pinned to his face.

Bright considered taking flight and giving the Kawani a bit of a show. Then he heard a sharp metal clank echo out from the dwelling that Ronnie had invaded.

The Elder turned to look over her shoulder, and two of the girls unhooked the bow that had been slung across their backs. This was not good. It was not good at all.

At the moment, Bright found himself at a sort of crossroads. It wasn't a crisis of conscience, since he'd never been so clumsy as to stumble over his moral fibre awkward moments, but it was a turning point all the same.

Kawani females weren't to be understimated. It was they who prepared the humans' prey for slaugher, and skinned animals with their deft boning knives. They could slit a Soquili's throat in a flash of merciless stone. Bright's ordinary modus operandi couldn't save Ronnie from a hunting and capture party. And for all that he objected to saving weak Soquili as more than a sham and a cover, he felt...

He felt ... obligated. In a fashion. No other Soquili would know if he abandoned Ronnie here. It wouldn't harm his reputation in the slightest. He could even treat her oh-so-tragic capture as a tale of lost love, and have the mares swooning at his forehooves while he plotted revenge. But it would be a terribly shameful waste of resources to let her fall his this, and in the depths of his empty, gilded heart, Bright supposed that was reason enough for him to try her way of doing things.

None of the Kawani maids saw it coming when he lashed out with a powerful wing, snapping their bows in two and buffeting them back into the treeline.

"Bloody hell!"

Somwhere in the back of her mind, Ronnie could only grin from ear to ear. Bright certainly put on a show and a mask that could charm the skirts off those two leggers! Although his act did a stand up job it left her somewhat puzzled at how he could let such vile and disgusting creatures paw and pat him. It would have been such a damn ease for him to break out and give them a REAL spectacle, one which their kind had truly yet to encounter with a newfound standard of rebellion and genius. If only Bright knew that it would feel like a chilling breeze seize his lungs or the rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins then perhaps he'd better understand what exactly he was missing out on. But, on the other hoof, Brights antics and ability to appease the damn two leggers made such a coverup for the mischief at hand that such a skill itself was hard to come by. Admittedly there were few who crafted themselves as a successful conartist that Bright was a diamond in the rough, to say the least. God, at least someone was keeping a good trademark! The face of rebellion and recklessness had needed a much long facelift for a while and this was going to re-shape and define the definition for both two leggers and soquili.

Look out world, hell was breaking loose with a newfound vengeance!

But as the shrill, echoing clank still rattled, Ronnie was starting to feel a bit on edge. What the hell had she done? Oh damn that strange liquid holding contraption to hell! Whatever it was it had gotten in her way and now it seemed that something was not right, not right at all. Her ears flickered as a new scent seemed to inhabit the air followed by the taunt sound of-

Oh s**t.

Turning her head while pink orbs narrowed, the mare's eyes widened while the rushing of colorful words surged through her mind. An unpleasent and angry scowl curled upon her maw as she stared down the tip of the sharp, pointy object and into the eyes of each of the female two leggers.

"You've gotta be ******** kidding me," she sighed, rolling her eyes slightly.

God damn it! s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t. They were lucky she didn't break their damn fleshy faces! Wait, wait. She couldn't promise that. She'd actually rather enjoy that for a change. Now that would be bragging rights! Although she was near pining to actually attempt to there was a good chance, a certain chance, that today would not be the day. Live for today and look forward to tomorrow, right? Well, if there was going to be a tomorrow that was. Glancing down towards the metallic contraption that sat upright at her hoof, a small idea was tinkering in her mind but before she could clearly think it out she was waiting for who was going to re-invent the game of 'pin the tail on the donkey' with 'shoot the mare through the heart', sure to be all the rage next gathering. Snorting out of her nostrils, the mare stood her ground. If she ran they'd only shoot faster but, somehow, something told her to lay low and stand still for a moment. Why? She didn't know but damn it she obeyed! Gut feelings were always right and this was a gut feeling. The current temptation while trapped within the pendint predicament only left the mare wanting to spit on one of them. Again, why? Haven't you just even wanted to spit on someone? This was more than a temptation; this was a full blown desire! Ronnie snorted again, deeply, mustering whatever was entrapped within her nostrils into her closed mouth and sitting there.

If she was going to die then she might as well make them wish they'd never plucked that arrow string.

With her eyes narrowed towards both females, Ronnie only let a cheeky grin curl upon her maw before making a slight hacking sound. But as the day was full of unexpected twists and turns she hadn't even considered the stallion suddenly lashing out with a snap of his wings. The alarm caught the mare to momentarily choke but regained herself, watching as the stallion drove the Kawani back towards the treeline.

Oh hot damn! This was Bright's jam!

The excitement and thrill only surged through her veins as she kicked out with a hoof, pointing it toward the Kawani women with a devious and flaunting expression if only to say 'SUCKA!'. Although with the two leggers at bay and still an urge, as well as a mouthful of slime, Ronnie quickly pranced her way toward the Kawani women. Unable to say much to Bright she offered him a broad grin before spitting into one of the Kawani womens faces and letting out a sudden eruption of laughter. "Oooooooooh! You got served motha'trucka! Where's your weapon? Those pointy sticks? Damn, we got them good!" Glancing back towards the stallion a smug expression drew across her lips as she perked her ears upwards.

"Quite the conartist, aren't we? Woo-ing the swooning mares by daylight but knocking heads by night. How nobel of you. My heeeeero," she added, her voice fainting slightly with a faux weariness as she leaned most of her weight against him. Ronnie laughed. It was so hard to keep serious especially now when a new side of the masked rebel had been exposed. Most likely in his defense it would have been explained somehow along the lines of 'desperate times call for desperate measures' but, already, the mare was convinced that there was something much deeper that was hidden away behind his mask. Curiosity already was getting the better of her.

Could this new side of the stallion be provoked? And if provoked would rebellion expose its wonderful, colorful self out in the open? Hmm. She'd have to test the extent of this sooner or later but now was far from the right moment to.

Leaning off of him, Ronnie pawed at the ground as she channeled a new source of fun. The mare began to stared intensely at the girl who was covered with her slimey concoction of upmost 'affection'. The least she coud do was to make the two legger feel so uncomfortable and vulnerable that maybe she'd realize they'd think twice before pulling a bow and arrow against a soquili. Although that would be highly unlikely as the soft, fleshy two leggers lacked in learning from their mistakes as well as not recognizing how helpless they were without their canines, weapons and contraptions it was still worth a shot. The mare flicked her tail, snoring once again as if to see a horrific expression cross her face or even a slight flinch but, instead, she looked towards the winged stallion.

"So what's next; Pillage their home and make a break for it or keep the fun rolling? I doubt we'll have a lot of time before their reinforcements come to play and then we'll sure as hell be outnumbered. Although I'm always up for a game of roulette." Rolling her shoulders, the mare grinned.

"Your call chief."

Bright took the better part of a minute to process what Ronnie had just said to him. Normally his wit was as quick as his wings, but here and now, with his pinions smarting from impact and his heart pumping double-time, he had no idea what he should be thinking. He'd acted on impulse and the world hadn't ended. It was shocking - nay, scandalous! It wasn't like him at all!

"My dear lady-" Bright ruffled his feathers into place, falling back into the usual cadence of his banter as though he hadn't hit the humans at all. If he acted normally, then perhaps he wouldn't feel so strange. "Surely you are not asking me touch them again. It is certainly nothing I would ever advise or reccomend to a mare of your stature. I-"

He what?

Bright didn't spend a lot of time asking himself what he wanted. He simply acted according to expectation and reaped the rewards.

"Mmm. A little bit of humiliation will pass quickly, but the loss of their precious trinkets will haunt them forever. Wouldn't you say? I do like to make an impression."

The Kawani girls were staring at them with frightened confusion, but the Elder had her act together. She'd already called for aid with a shrill, piercing whistle that cut through the ordinary noises of the woods.

Bright leapt over to the prone maidens, pumped his wings for loft, and landed all the way over by the Elder's teepee. Ronnie's laugher was more like a cackle, unfeminine and gloating, but it proved contagious when combined with the wind in his mane and a strange sense of freedom. The stallion couldn't help but laugh himself; a low, smooth chuckle.

Was this what it felt like to have fun? Bright was more used to sly satisfaction. It stunned him to realize that this must be what Ronnie felt like all the time.

In the back of his mind, he noted that she was quite pretty when excited, all full of amusement and raw malice. He wouldn't be able to replicate that expression with a million years of acting experience under his belt.

"Naturally, I shall preserve any baubles which suit my lady's complexion, but I myself have little need for human trash. Perhaps- perhaps, if we are following your modus operandi, we ought to simply knock this silly settlement down."

One of the poles holding up the teepee was in his way, so he reared back to strike it. He's already come this far, and utterly ruined his reputation in this quarter, so- so a little more wouldn't hurt. Would it?

Oh, surely not.

((Apologies for the super, super belated delay D: the holidays and life's curve totally threw me for a loop ;___; heart ))

If that previous act was impulse then she was certainly more driven to see what the stallion could conjure with pure, whole hearted intention! All along Ronnie was certain that behind his glistening mask there was something about Bright that seemed to strike a familiar note- a defined foundation, one which she herself seemed so deeply rooted upon. Although it was unlikely that the stallion would ever succumb and admit such a thing, the mare was, without a shadow of a doubt, positive that a small rebellious streak lingered within him. Besides, aside from the chivalry and gallant persona it seemed most often that the straight up 'bad boy' approach seemed far more successful.

The mare arched a brow upwards, a leonine tail flicking behind her as pink orbs narrowed slightly. "My dear siiiiiiir-" she laughed, taking a step forward using emphasis with a curled lip. "Surely you aren't denying such a once in a lifetime, adrenaline rushing, hell raising opportunity to pass you by. Its certainly something I would advise or reccomend to a stallion of your stature."

Before she could continue it seemed that a sudden strike of contemplation- no, deep desires seemed to whirl within Brights mind. In witnessing such a thing Ronnie simply let a small, subtle smile stretch into a widespread grin across her maw. It seemed that, if for a moment, Bright was actually acting upon his own accord for once! Perhaps this would jolt the poor stallion out of his severely skewed, if not secretly admired, theatrical persona. The unicorn nodded her head, teeth bearing the biggest grin as she glanced back towards the strange contraption which the two leggers called 'home'. It was such a strange, tempting domain! One that was hardly touched by their kind and something so foreign that certainly the story of their intrusion was to be lengthened into a horrible tale and caution heeded to all future generations. Oh but the mere thought of it all simply riled up the excitement and glee that harbored itself within Ronnies soul! This certainly was to be the first of many daredevil acts produced by the duo, she was sure.

With Brights heightened decree for something to make a lasting impression, Ronnie seemed to almost prance her way past the gathered two leggers and accompanied him without question. Slowly but surely it appeared that she was finding her way under his mask, slowly finding her way under his coat and beneath his skin. All it took was that awakening sensation, a simple taste of fun and reckless behavior to lure anyone from out of their constant, dull, mentality. And to her surprise, it seemed that such a potent concoction was already taking effect.

Ronnie chuckled.

"Knock it down? Oh you sly, sly, stallion! Running them out of house and home? Oooooh- I love it. Love. Love. Looooooooove it." As it seemed that Bright was taking aim at the strange settlement, Ronnie could feel the thrill and excitement bubbling up inside of her, almost urging her to scream with such utter delight! But seeing as the stallion was on a roll with what seemed to be the begining of a newfound approach to life, the mare smirked.

"Do eeeeeeet!" She exclaimed, pawing at the ground anxiously.

Bright needed the experience, to feel that surging adrenaline seize his veins and slowly cause an uncurable craving to awaken within him. Although the process itself could be a gradual one, every little action counted.

"You've got nothing to lose! Balls to the walls!"

((Don't worry about it. After all, I'm not exactly timely myself. XD))

Balls to the-?

Er-

What?

Bright wasn't aware that ladies talked like that. In fact, he was fairly certain that ladies never talked like that. But ladies were weak, and fanciful, and easily duped, so perhaps he was approaching this business from the wrong perspective. He'd trust a lady to take the fall for her dashing alicorn knight, but he wouldn't trust one to have his back during a home invasion.

"Tsk! Language, my dear." He joked, offhandedly, as his forehooves crashed through a set of well-loved clay pots. Various herbs and preserves spilled out over the floor, where they were promptly trampled into the dust. "You delight in such shocking behavior."

He smashed one of his wings into a finely-carved tanning rack. Then chuckled darkly under his breath.

"I'll have you know that intend to hold you fully responsible for the damage you've done to my reputation. I'm not sure how, mind you. But I'm certain I shall think of something."

After a few minutes of concentrated destruction, the elder's teepee was a torn, forlorn wreck around the two of them. Bright was about to finish things off by swiping a shiny bone necklace when his ears perked of their own accord. The birds had stopped chirping. Their Kawani enemies were practiced hunters, too clever to give away their presence with stampeding and shouting, but if the local avians had all flown off, that meant something in the woods was disturbing them.

"Until such time, it's imperative that I don't let you out of my sight, mmm? So it's best we both be going before the hunting party arrives."

What he really wanted to ask was if Ronnie did this sort of thing all the time, and if so, how she kept it up. It was strange! Scandalous! Unthinkable! Fantastical! He felt a bit dizzy with freedom, at the moment, and though he'd like to get back to pulling the wool over the eyes of unsuspecting passers-by, he was stallion enough to admit that random acts of vandalism had their own intrinsic appeal.

Yet this wasn't the time for such things.

"After you?" He gestured towards the thick tree-line. "They'll spot me too easily in the air. It pains me to say so, but I believe we're going to both had to run."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 07, 2009 5:17 pm

Oh yes, ladies were most often thought to be proper, polite and very regal in a certain way they carried themselves- walking as if their hooves treaded upon air itself and in such a manner that one would think their graceful nature was due to weighing near close to a feather. Unfortunately such fairytales and far stretched requirements for a mare were not only absurd but they seemed to ask for a very cookie cutter-esque way of life. Ulike the other sappy females who dreamed of princes and true loves first kiss, Ronnies had pulled her head out of the clouds while in her foalhood days. But in this dastardly duo of renegade and dashing gentleman, it seemed only necessary that one of them was to pull their weight ala rebellious style- Brights methods were sly, twisting the unsuspecting to fawn over the perfect, near flawless, chivalrous gentlemen while Ronnie was left to pick at whatever was avaliable for the taking or scavenge if necessary.

They were, to say the least, unstoppable.

A broadening smirk snaked across the mares maw. "Oh, you know you like it," she teased, watching as the sound of shattering clay pots while strange herbal remedies and perserves filtered into the air with a rising cloud. In doing her share, the mare kicked over what seemed to be a woven tapestry with a front hoof, threads snapping and sent in disarray as the image that was so neatly sewen was nothing but a collaborated disaster. But amongst the broken objects and the scene of the crime, Ronnie swindled a few rathe shiny pieces of jewelry- she was a sucker for their strange trinkets at times as well as such things could lead to a very big pay off in the trading market.

As she slid her tail through each string, a sudden sensation seemed to overcome her. It seemed as if the are went still and with nature brought to a sudden silence one could only assume that something was close.

Damn, the fun was ending so soon?

She sighed, somewhat disappointed that the fun and games were coming to a halt so soon but, then again, the fun had only just begun in a sense. Making the get away was thrilling in its own right as well as dangerous- the mere thought of it all only sent waves of adreanline to begin coursing thorugh her veins. It was a game of cops and robbers now and, unfortunately, prison often resulted in becoming a burden carrying slave or even death. But certainly this would be no match for them, right? They were soon to find out.

"Sounds fan-freaking-tastic," Ronnie chimed, a smug expression set upon her maw. Almost in a mocking show, she pranced toward the thick tree line as her leonine tail swayed behind her. So far so good! They had not only broken in and entered an elders teepee but they had dismantled it! Oh, Ronnie herself was almost anticipating to hear the rumors that the locals 'civilized' soquili would pass along about a horrible mare and stallion whose hearts certainly were darkened with such evil intentions! She chuckled to herself. What she would give to see their faces!

Looking back towards Bright, the mare mused although gave a slightly pouting face. "Aw, poor Bright. You're a big, strong stallion. You can do it. Just make sure you can keep up- you have to be one step ahead of the game." Ronnie couldn't help but grin, winking at the end of such encouraging words and turning back to the trail.

Without a further or due, the mare suddenly began to gallop with a sprinting start. Her tapered mane of disarray blonde wisped in every direction while pink eyes focused ahead, ears flicking and staying alert for where the coppers currently seemed to be lurking. It was all a game- a very dangerous game yet one whose thrill levels were unmatched! Perhaps the stallion was already getting his fix of rebellion- learning how to be a punk and defining new escapades and ways of how one could truly live life to the fullest. But perhaps these thoughts were better left to think about after they escaped out of the woods- for now they needed their full attetion front and center or wherever else it could be needed.

As the wind seemed to rush against her with a chill, caressing kiss, Ronnie grinned. This was starting to seem like a new partnership.
