Dinyin listened to her talk rather than dozing off to think about something else. He was interested in getting to know Nakia more. He had so much to learn about her, and already shes teaching him a thing or two. Like this new feeling has been installed in him. He couldn't stop thinking about it, but also he had to keep his mind on the conversation. It was rude to go into lala-land while talking to a mare, they never liked that specially when they asked for your own opinion. "We shared that day? Whos 'we'?" This got him curious and made him shift a little. Still not knowing this rather fuzzy feeling in his heart, he also did not know why when she said 'we' it disturbed him. As if a squirrel threw a rock at his head.
Another glance from her....or was it? Dinyin was so into the conversation and his feelings, that he thought he saw her look again. He, himself could not stop staring. She was...perfect...for him. The stallion came back to earth when she had asked him if something was wrong. He rolled onto his stomache and his eyes bolted from side to side. "Nothing. Ah...I.......I...." What could he say? Should he try to explain it. "Nakia...I....you......we....err." No, she might not see it like how he does....she probably doesnt. Or does she? No, he couldn't get his hopes up. In fact, the stallion needed to understand this feeling before anything further. "Nevermind," he whispered and looked at her, hoping to look into her eyes. And feeling whatever he felt. It wasn't just a trustful feeling, but also a meaningful, one that he could not feel within his family. One that had to be discovered on its own. You are different from anything I know in my world. He thought quietly in his mind. His eyes softened as he stared at her.

Nakia had just finished speaking when Dinyin suddenly perked up. She giggled at his expression, smiling slightly at the confusion lingering in the air. "By "we", I mean my family and I. My father was teaching my brother and I how to fly for the first time."
She flicked a wing at him just as her companion rolled over onto his stomach and stared at her with those gentle, brown eyes...Nakia felt herself falling into them as her heart fluttered with that warm, gentle feeling again. Was this...was this what others felt...maybe what those who stayed together felt? Blushing again, Nakia gently spread her wings across the ground and blinked when a feather fell away from the rest.
Re-folding them, Nakia gently grabbed the feather and shifted so she could place the silver object behind his ear before pulling away with a gentle expression. "For you...." Her voice became soft and loving, the need to sing this feeling welling up inside of her heart almost overwhelming the young mare. "A memory. And a gift." She smiled and stared into Dinyin's eyes again.

"Ooh your family." Dinyin sighed with relief looking the other way. Then turning back towards her. She spread her wings and they almost reached and touch him. A silver piece was left behind and Nakia had gently placed it behind his ear. This was the real first time Dinyin blushed himself. To her last words, he wanted to say that he doesnt need a gift for memory, only because he'll always be here for her. However, he opened his mouth, but then snapped it back close. The stallion shifted himself closer to her. Their sides touching and he could feel the softness of her wings.
He smiled up at the sky, face still tomato red. Hard to believe but, sunset has arrived. They had spent the whole day together. The most amazing day of his life. He sighed and looked at her, his face so close to hers. Dinyin's shy ness got the best of him and he turned away. and layed his head down leveling with the grass. Droplets were forming on them, the cool night was begining. "Stay here for the night...with me?" he asked gently and sweetly without looking at her but at the grass. He needed to seek someone out to explain to him what is this and also he needed to know, if she.....if she could be feeling the same.

"Yes...my family..." Nakia smiled gently at the blush covering Dinyin's face, the same scarlet color spreading across her own as he shifted closer. His body was warm and the feeling of completely security washed over her...with Dinyin here, Nakia no longer feared what might be lurking in the shadows at night...
At a cool breeze, Nakia turned her head just as the sun drifted below the horizen, allowing the stars to blink to life against the midnight-blue heavens. Her eyes sparkled happily as a single falling star streaked across the sky and disappeared from view. Wish upon a star....another Soquili had told her that once when she was but a filly...
Back then, she had nothing to wish for. Her life had been wonderful...but now...she did have something she wanted. Closing her eyes, a single wish crossed her mind before Nakia opened them and smiled at Dinyin. Her heart fluttered at his question; in answer, she laided her head on his shoulder while breathing in his warm, earthy scent.
"Of course...I will, and Dinyin?" She smiled at him once more as sleep started to claim the young mare. "Wish upon a star...." Closing her eyes, Nakia snugged closer to the stallion as a faint whisper pasted her lips. 'My Knight in shining armor....."

Dinyin felt the touch of her head against his shoulder. This made his heart really beat. He sighed and closed his eyes, made a wish quietly in his mind. If he had two leggers' fingers, he'd cross them for extra luck. Dinyin, his eyelids slowly falling over his eyeballs, smiled while looking up at the sky one last time, seeing all those stars and gods above watching this happy moment.
She had said something, but his ears did not quite catch it. Dinyin whispered something himself. "This is the fastest my heart has ever gone....." Eyelids felt heavy...
