Thoth gave a slight shrug to her question. " i have never came across anyone who has never used their wings in flight so its hard to say. it wont hurt to try to teach you to fly and test out if you can or cannot." he gave a small attempt at a smile. " if you kept to exersising your wings i doubt there will be much task to getting you in the air." beneath his aqwardness, he had a intelligent glint in his eyes as he was now eyeing her wings with thought of wether or not it was possible for someone like her to beable to fly when never havign done so for so long. a task he would take as a challenge which he would enjoy as he loved to do things that made him think or work hard at.

Lux moved her gaze from him to her wings and she moved them slightly, fluffing up the feathers. If she exercised enough she was sure that flight could happen. But, after years of no movement, except for the once in awhile flutter, could they really hold her weight at this moment?
“I have a feeling that this is going to take a lot of time.” It was a gut feeling, and although she knew it would be tough, she was excited to finally have the option of flying. True, running would always be her preferred way of travel, but flying was a whole new experience that she couldn’t wait to feel first hand.

" doesnt matter to me, honostly i taking this as little challage...a interesting task that brings intreset to me." Thoth was always completely honest and never beat around the bush when it came to saying something though his brother was a different matter when he talked with him. " lets get to a open area so we can get started if you don't mind." ruffling his wings to smooth his feathered wings, he hoped she would not be offended by how he was.

Unconsciously Lux's eyebrow rose at what he had said. She felt shock at how forward he was with his words. It actually made her feel slightly better, in some odd way. At least this stallion didn’t seem the kind to pretend, and she found that a good quality in anyone.
“Sound good to me. The more open the better I think.” She flung her cropped tail back and forth, and flicked an ear in his general direction. Unfortunately, she did not know if an area around here to go. “Um, I say we go this way.” Lux offered, nodding her head to the right.

" if you attempted to fly in this area im sure you would end up injured since flight reqires open space so you can gain speed and use your wings." Thoth was blunt, honest and upfront so he was not one to toy with anyone in anyway plus he was too self conceious to ever be a player. " alright lets go then." grunting, he started off in the direction she had shown knowing she would follow.

Lux quickly caught up to him, running to his side and keeping pace. He seemed to be a very commanding and had a very blunt attitude. It was a little off putting, but she often needed direction. After all, what was life but a whole bunch of different choices and directions, and she often needed help with those choices.
“I see. That makes sense. With my luck, a tree would suddenly be in my path.” It had happened before. A moment in time when she was so gone in her mind that she tripped, or possibly ran into non-moving objects, and she felt that today could add another one of those moments to her life. They did not happen very often, and she wasn’t a complete klutz, but it did happen. Lux just didn’t want it to happen in front of this stallion.

" let us hope that does not happen." Thoth gave a small chuckle as he contined down the path they had chosen to take. seeing a break in the trees and the area finaly openign up, he was rather pleased they and chosen the right way. it was possible to take how he spoke as commanding which he didnt do on pupose it was just how he was and it was easy to see he was very blunt while honest too. " we are in luck it sees though today so far."

“Yeah?” She questioned. Lux’s heart was fluttering in her chest, and nervousness was making her wings twitch with anticipation. The surrounding forest was opening up in front of her, and with the sudden discovery of us, she was going to fly today, it made her stomach begin doing flip flops. The clearing got closer and closer, and Lux tried to swallow. Her throat was already dry, masking swallowing a bit difficult. It made her wonder, was she just nervous, or was this a fear of what should come naturally to her?

unlike lux, Thoth was calm even though he should of been nerves since he had never taught anyone how to fly. giving a toss of is mane and a ruffle of his wings, he didnt think they would have any problems or so that was what he thought. seeing how she was a wingged like him and flying should come naturally, he didnt think it would take too long for her to pick up on how to fly. " i don't think there is much we can do today except get your wing strength built up and once that is done we could get you flying in a couple days." oh he didnt expect her to be flying in one day as it even took him days to get it right when he was a colt.

A sigh of relief flew from her before she could stop it. His news brought about a certain sense of contentment, as she was obviously scared of getting into the air and flying. Of course wing strength was needed, and since she obviously did not have any, the most she could do was jump into the air for a few moments. Nothing as dangerous as flying and crashing that was for sure. “Okay and how do I build up wing strength?” Probably nothing more then a few stretches or something.

" i'll show you." Thoth moved away from her to get some open spaced room to demistrate how she would build the strength she needed to fly. spreding his wings out to stretch them for a moment before he started to flap them, causeing small gusts of wind around him. once he was a few feet off the ground, he grandualy landed on the ground. " practice doing that before trying to really fly. i learned as a colt it was a better way, rather than flaping and leaping off of hills." giving a aqward grin, when he was a colt he had been know for his dramatic attempts at flying.

Lux nodded, paying close and critical attention to all the little moves that he made with his wings. He made it look so incredibly easy, but she knew that it would take a while before she would be able to leave the ground as gracefully as he did. “Alright, I’ll give it a try.” She opened her wing slowly, stretching them as she went. She hadn’t opened them to their full length in quite a while and she could feel it. Trying to flap them was difficult and it became a sad attempt which explained why her face became flushed. Lux had never thought of how completely week her wings had become and this just showed it.
Continuing trying to flap her wings gradually loosened the muscles, and it became easier. A smile was growing on her face as she slowly began to realize that she was really going to learn how to fly.

Thoth gave a nod and made sure to give her room so that she could stretch her wings and get use to using them with out him geting in her way. " keep at it your doing fine." a small grin was on his face as he watched her attempt at atlest geting off the ground somewhat. so far he was pleased with how well she was taking to geting her wings into use.

A grin formed at his words of praise. He seemed the kind of soquili that didn’t give out compliments on a daily basis, so she felt as if it was a huge accomplishment. Lux’s wing muscles felt thoroughly loose, and upon opening them farther, she already felt a sense of freedom. Letting them stretch to their fullest extent, she then let them slowly close and let them lay once again upon her back, and turned to him with her grin still on her face. “Well, I think that for a first day, stretching them is what I need to do most. Right?” She questioned.
