When Nikolas mentioned that she was not the only one feeling the pain inside of her, she knew that had to be true as she had watched many suffer. Awnaety watched him walk off, her body wanting to make a move and chase him down so he wont leave her alone in the dark. However, she couldnt move, controlled by the part where she held her stubborn self. She had 'won' this spot and the conversation. Awnaety let herself fall to her belly, as she laid there she thought about all the things in her life. What she went through to get to where she was today. A rather tough route and now it still held that tough tone. AWnaety felt the tears rising again but she held them back once more. Trying to pull the opposite side of herself to take over. Soon, her depression washed away as she became optimistic and found her coolness. "I'll live through it.." she spoke out loud to the stars, Awnaety suddenly held a changed of heart, she would sand strong and not run back to Vibrant. She will get over him, she will and she must. Lifting herself up very gently and slowly, she caught a scent in the air. If Nikolas was truly gone off far, and he should have by now, the scent should not be able to reach here. This was about the same distance she had first spotted him. Awnae tilted her head n looked in the direction he walked in.

Stretching her legs, Awnae coudl feel soem weight lift off her heart. Another sign from her body that she was slowly healing from the pain. The breeze rushed over her and she smiled at it, looking up. The dark mare began her torttin slowly towards the direction Nikolas went. Curious why he was still so close. She needed something to distract her from this Vibrant depression, and Nikolas smelt to be near. As well he just might be able to keep her in this optimistic mood. Before he left, he mentioned something bout himself she believe. That he had some situations himself. Awnaety didnt feel bad that she let it all out on him, he has yet to see the real b***h side of her. Awnaety kept her head held high and kept looking proud, she was not going to show anymore tears. That was for sure, she couldnt promise herself that no sadness would come back. Awnae partially entered the woods, or past some trees. Halting in her trotting, she hestitated. Not entirely sure if she should go in, but his scent was clear.

Nikolas was watchful as the mare sank to the ground after his departure, turning his head away he stepped further into the trees, letting the dappled lighting flicker off his white coat making him seem more like a ghost then ever before. Stopping again he looked back toward where he had left the mare, the one that poured everything out on him. Her pain, her anger and he took it with a somewhat straight face. He felt for her, hoping her the best in her adventures in her life from here on out. He wouldn't darken her doorway again, that is...

His train of thoughts ended abruptly as he looked back again toward where he had left the mare. He noted her coming in the same direction he had come. Remaining in the stagnant shadows he watched, letting the wind shift the foliage over head giving away his hiding place, even if he hadn't really been 'hiding'. As she stood there, possibly thinking whether or not to follow him into the abyss he turned away and started walking again. Making small noises as he went, a snap of a twig or the rustle of the leave beneath his hooves. The night was waning away before him and he had yet to really find something to eat. These pressing matters were starting to make his poor head ache in a way it hadn't for a long time.

"Don't dwell in the past, what has happened can't be changed. No going back, only forward into the light and into the unknown." He muttered more to himself though his voice seemed to snake around the trees to the ears that were listening. "Wounds given, wounds healed. Pain given and pain suffered, life always finds away." He snorted, "Damn, I'm starting to sound like you Kristopher." He whispered to himself shaking his head.

Even a bright stallion like Nikolas, the woods hid many things very well. The brightest can walk into these trees and be eaten by the darkness the trees and shadows that roamedhere at night. Awnae felt her ears erect as she could hear the voice of the company she had once before. Normally, she wasnt the type to follow someone, but...she needed distraction. Awnae straightened herself as she could hear twigs and more snap and all. A bit suspicious but she saw nothing of it seeing that the woods are full of scrap here and there. Her eyes scanned the area. She would end up making a few noise herself, Awnae was rather tall for a mare and some branches of shorter trees often stoof in her way. Her bracelets easily tangled with the woods beings. Shaking her head, she sighed and headed in. Her eyes slowly adjusting to all the shadows and more around the mare. Things started making its silhouette and soon the moon's light broke through the spots where tree's leave didnt cover. Her eyes caught on something but it slipped away. Awnae turned and walked in that direction, hoping she wouldn't get lost, but neither can she hear any more noise, since she was making a racket herself. The forest was a great place to find peaceful and lonely spots, but it was always a mess, day or night for Awnae. Night the most since she couldn't see perfectly. In the day she ran into very few branches.

The mare finnally caught a glimpse of glowing white, and she sighed as she slowled her pace towards it, only to find that she had reached the place where she thought he stood but nothing was there. Awnae looked around a bit panicked. Her eyes bolting from place to place. Still nothing. Perhaps he did walk away and only his scent was left behind, but she swore his voice was what she heard. Awnaety shrugged and looked back from where she came from. Darkness surrounded her, no idea which part of the woods she was in. The mare tried to keep her cool, and gave a frown while searching left and right. She decided its best she stop here, rest here and in the morning she'll find her way out. However, her body stayed stiff and she stayed standing there solemnly looking around for anything to keep her company. This darkness catching up on her thoughts, making her realise reality that nothing can be fixed since it was the past. Awnaety squeezed her eye shut and stopped herself from getting to those thoughts. She opened them and placed a fake smile across herself. Optimistic. You will heal and find what you enjoy one day. One day she'll be able to resume her love of making others suffer in pain. However, what had happened to her, Awnae wasnt sure if she wanted to be what Vibrant had done to her. Even if he did not mean to. Another thing caught the corner of her eye and she flicked her head towards it, once again, it was nothing. She could not help it but love to watch others suffer. It wasnt just a hobby but it was part of her. The mare guessed thats something she can never change. For once in her life, everything in her world and who she was, seemed so clear.

Stepping into a smaller clearing then the valley he had left, leaving the mare within it, though had a feeling that she had followed him. Turning around in the small clearing, letting the moonlight sink into his coat again, giving that same luminous feeling to it, though his black mantel of hair said other wise. He wasn't exactly the most 'shiny' of stallions when he wanted to be. Looking back into the darkness, he watching the shadows loom and linger, stretch and reach out for what they couldn't grasp. Shaking his head, he stepped back toward the trees, watching them. Waiting. Waiting for something he had a feeling that wouldn't follow.

"If you wish to not be alone, you are welcomed to come with me." He called into the darkness, "It is your choice, who knows. Maybe we can turn a frown upside down?" he mused while shifting the scratch a shoulder against a tree.

Looking upwards and toward the moon shrouded skies, watching the starts twinkle and glitter in their own lights. Like small lightening bugs that got caught within a large web and weren't able to get themselves free no matter how much they struggled. He didn't wish on stars, he found it silly. Though his brother did it every 'morning' before setting off to do what ever it was he did, alone. Nik often worried about Kris, though knew his brother could fend for himself.

"At the very least, we could keep each other company until the day comes and I wander back to where I sleep." He added a while after, when he looked away from the stars.

His little rhyme that was meant to be funny did not tickle Awnae's laughter one bit. The mare rolled her eyes and looked in the direction of the voice. Somewhat she could see the glow of his coat. Awnaety shook her head and wondered if this would be admitting defeat, she did not like to lose...definetly. Awnae sighed and tried to think nothing of winning or losing at the moment. The stallion wasnt too far away but she did feel her eye lids falling over her orbs. She had kept herself awake many nights because of her situation, now her body really couldn't hold her up. However, the mare being stubborn to not only others, but herself, she straightened and continued her little stroll. Did she want to be alone? Yes....no....Awnae frowned as she watched her step. It was hard to decide, her heart felt like it had been hit with many rocks or fell down a waterfall. Indeed, her time with Vibrant was like the nice rolling and peaceful stream, until they realise the stream lead to a waterfall. Her heart recieved another shock of pain and the mare stopped and let it pass. It really wasnt any good if she kept thinking of Vibrant. Then why was she following Nikolas, he was from the other gender, that IS admitting defeat. Awnae held back, and halted. Part of her wanting to turn back but another part wanting to hear some more convincing words from the stallion to motivate her failing optimistic self.

The voice came again, this time it was much closer sounding and did not echo to her as much. Awnaety listened, he sleeps...during the day. Awnae decided to answer back to this one, "Why sleep during the day?" when she had done it recently with her sleepness nights. Although, she knew her reason. If Nikolas really did not want to share his side, well thats his choice, and she didnt need to know. Just curious. "I'm sure the reason would vary...considering you are a stallion, and oh boy doesnt stallions just like to mess around at night..." Awnaety thought she should add that, oh who knows how many pregnant mares out there, probably living in regret. An image of his sharp teeth appeared in her head. Not understanding or knowing why, the dark Soquili, with a rather mixed personality, continued her trotting. He had not said anything to motivate her, but once again, the darkness was turning into reality. Plus, his coat was her night light for now. The forest, the wind had to shift through a lot of objects before hitting them right on. So the chilly feeling wasnt as big as it was standing out in the open on the fields. Awnae didnt focus on where she was walking, her mind busy thinking. A branch caught onto her hair, and Awnae had to struggle a bit trying to free herself. After she did, the branch shot back and slowly fell back into its original form. Looks like it was back to normal, but once something was disturbed with, it will never be the same as befoe. Another reminder. Awnaety snorted and focussed her mind on trotting, something she didnt expect she'd do 'til she realised she could get quite tangled. The beads on her bracelets clicked against each other. Soon, it sounded rather rythymic.

He gave a leveled look to air as he was asked why he slept during the day, he wasn't used to the bright sun nor did he really think that he wanted to be. But could adapt he supposed... If he really had to. Though the comment after wards snapped something within him as he shrugged that off. He wasn't like many stallions, he rarely looked upon a mare in a 'certain' light. they were just what they were, mares. Another living creature to get used to in this land. All this came back to his sleeping through the day and waking at night and being active.

"I sleep during the day cause I'm not accustomed to living in the sunlight. True it doesn't 'hurt' me for what I am, a vampire, but still it's annoying. He admitted openly of what he was. "My brother is the same as I, though he loves walking around in the harshness of the sun. Too good for his own well being I tell him, but he merely shrugs. So I never mind him not sleeping with me during the day."

Stepping back a bit, his tail twitching over his flank as he listened to the clicking of the beads on her bracelets, even if he hadn't noticed them on their encounter back in the valley outside his and his brother's home. Then again, the moon didn't lighten her coat up too much, not like it had his. Still, darkness was always his mistress and she was as dark in color as he's ever seen. Losing himself in his own thoughts on things, Nikolas paced a little before standing back where he had started.

"I can't speak for any other stallion that 'messes' around in the night, but so you know. Besides the new fledgeling under mine and mine brother's wing. You are the first mare that I've seen since coming to these lands. So I don't see myself messing around at night, besides feasting on things no one really cares about."

Awnaety raked through her brain for some information on what the hell a 'vampire' was. Whic Nikolas supposesly claim himself as. A species she doesnt not know about? If so, prehaps that should explain the pointy fangs. It wasnt a surprise she hasn't met his breed, considering all the alone time she has to herself. A brother huh? Well they sure sound close. Awnaety thought about her own family, they were useless pathetic fools each and every in their own kind of way. She never appreciated them, and really never stayed around them once she had enough brains to take off. Even if she had sticked around, her mother and father would have most likely left her. They were not fit to be parents, thats what Awnae thought of them. Both always no where to be found when their children needed them. Recently she heard her mother was having yet another set of kids. Awnaety felt a bit of sadness for them. However, the mare did notice she wasnt much of a mother herself. A daughter who use to hate her but now they're alright. The other one, Morgana, despises her. Awnaety doesnt quite understand but she guessed maybe because of the lack of attention. Her attention was mostly on Vibrant, which now she realised was a total waste. She snorted and thought, maybe it best that she don't be a mother. The reason why she became 'friends' with Zeda. A pain hit her in the chest, back to Vibrant again now arent we?

The dark mare finally caught up and stood there boldly. Awnaety thought about him feasting on things that no one really cared about. Did that mean she were to be feasted on? Seeing that she was kind of something no one remembers. Her heart sank deep into her guts full of sorrow, she had no one in the world. Even if her and Zeda are buds, truly she knew they werent. Only because they lacked seeing each other, and who knows how much hate Zeda still had on for her. Awnaety shook her head and tried to erase the connections she had with Vibrant, this included her children. Raising a brow, the mare looked him over, nothing changed about him since the time they had seperated. On her, she must have a million scratches from all the branches, thats what she felt like. But she was sure there werent, even if she had any, most likely invisible at night. Her eyes fell onto his face, dull eyes. She sighed hoping he better be entertaining somehow or else this whole thing was pointless. She was the first mare they met? Possible if you slept during the day. Awnaety had experienced a life like that herself. No one she knew was found at night time. "Not very socialized are you?" she asked monotoned. Awnaety shouldn't be the one to talk, since she did not have many friends herself, but she didnt care.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 05, 2008 5:13 pm

Well that was something he gave her credit on, he wasn't a social butterfly as some put it so 'smashingly'. He rarely did see others, if he had, they were so often 'sleeping' and he never awakened the sleeping. No point in it all really, what would happen? The ones awakened would be cross and argue with him, he never really wanted an argument. Even if he's already been in one 'fight' with another stallion over a filly that was left on her own well after dark. That fight was all talk, never much action as it seemed the father didn't wish to show violence before his own kin.

"You could say that. Not many out here are awake at this hour of the night. When the moon sets and the sunrises is their time. When the sunsets and the moon rises, that's my time." he pointed out though moved not an inch from where he stood. "Also after what happened in my past, socialism isn't exactly my art, though I do host a bash now and again... Rather I did."

Watching the mare, he had nearly forgotten that she still hadn't given out her name. Though he wished she would, he wondered if perhaps not giving out her name would keep her further away from being, 'friendly' with him. He had quite openly said his name, as a token, but it was taken too lightly. Black eyes looked the mare over after she had come from he stood, looking her over for really the first time since their first meeting. He never really looked her over 'that' well and now was the time to he supposed. Stepping around her. looking her over with still softened black eyes, he stopped when he noted the sticks that might have been in her mane. He guessed it got tangled in a branch, stupid things had always reached out for things that weren't theirs.

Not really thinking of what he was doing, he started taking the sticks out of her mane. His ears flicked as he continued, though spoke somewhat in between pulls. "If you wonder what I 'feast' on, it's not like what these Kalona or pelt wearers eat." He tugged at a couple more small twigs, "I favor more of blood berries and blackberries." Again he stopped speaking as another twig was between his teeth and he pulled it free and spat it to the ground. Looking a bit uncaring that he was really too close for comfort, well, well in to her comfort zone as it were. He just couldn't see her having sticks in her mane to get it even more tangled that it might already have been...

Solemn like a rock, Awnaety watched him with careful eyes still. Watching him chat on about the night and day. Similiar they were, but he didnt need to know that. Awnaety didnt have anything to say to it. Staying up with him now will only result inthat she becomes an owl sort of like her company here. Muscles suddenly tensing as Nikolas started moving, not just moving but circling her. Sort of like what she had done before with a few others. A rather favourite and sly move. The mare watched him curiously, her expression switched to a smirk and watchful eyes (still). Her body stiffened as each step he took around her and Awnae really wondered what he was up to. The mare started following where he was moving by cranking her head slowly. A shiver ran down her back as she felt a light tug at her mane. Whats this? He was picking the sticks out of her mane. Awnaety gave a puzzled look, but her eyes had turned from watchful to confused and soft like his. Her concious resumed the glare after a second. Nikolas started to talk about what he ate, and that immediately took her mind off the branch picking. Her eyes trailed to his face and waited for his explanation. He did not eat what the 'tough' boys ate, what did he eat then? Awnaety held her body still, but not so stiff that she couldnt bolt away if needed. However, chances were, she wouldnt. Defeat by a stallion was pathetic. Defeat by anyone was. She would fight to the death in order to keep her head high.

She tilted her head, rather cutely, at the sound of blood berries and black berries. Were there such things that exist in the forest? At the same time, anything is possible. Her eyes turned into a worried and confused look. A frown reaching her face. Then another tug to her hair reminded her that he was rather too close. However, he was doing her a favor..but she did not need his help. Awnaety pulled away and faced him. Flinging her hair back and not caring about the twigs that were still in it. On the ground she could see quite a few has already been plucked out. Her eyes rolled up to him and she stared into his eyes. "Blood and black berries....I've never heard of more pathetic names for berries. If you mean red and blue berries, please do just call them by their color..." Blue berries were meant to be blue, but really sometimes they looked black. Until you chew on them, then they just give off a rather repelling blue tint to your teeth. Awnae continued to eye him suspiciously. Secretly flattered by his actions, but on the other side, furious he had the guts to do such a thing. A small breeze had curved its way around the trunks and blew past her, making her hair wiggle freely, her skin felt brushed against.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 05, 2008 6:48 pm

Nikolas stepped back as she pulled away from him, much as he would expect. He never really realized what he was doing, he had a thing for beauty. And with sticks in one's hair wasn't too glamorous, but with most of the litter pulled from the strands it looked better and moved more freely when the wind blew through it. If there had been shock on his face when she pulled away, he quickly covered it and spat the stick that had been in his mouth to the ground as she came about to names being pathetic for the berries he ate. What did she expect him to eat? Meat like those lower then himself? Please, he wasn't that blood thirsty.

"They exists, and there is such a thing as blackberries. Much like Raspberries, though black in color and more bitter to the taste. Blood berries.." He had to think a moment, "I guess you have a different name for them, but they are red like blood and are very sweet. Cherries I think they are called in these parts. Very rare to be found in this season. But Blackberries are as ripe as ever." He nodded.

Looking around the clearing that he had lead them to, he knew this clearing always had something for him to eat. Just had to find the bush, get past the thorns and get at the berries it hid. Stepping away from the mare, he walked around the edge of the clearing until he came to the thorned bush. Ah! There it was, pawing at the branches, he knocked down some of the more thorned ones to get to the berries that were further in back, being he had cleaned the front branches a few nights back.

"Here I'll show what I mean by blackberries... If you've never seen them before." Nik looked back before reaching forward the n** a couple thorn covered branches from where they laid and pulled back.

The thorns cut into his lips, but the blood from them would only be licked away in due time. Stopping back over to the mare, he placed them on the ground, where she could inspect the berries for herself. His tongue escaped his muzzle and licked over the small scrapes and cuts to his lips. Taking in the blood with a slight amused look on his face. Giving a small shudder as he let the warm liquid roll over his tongue and down his throat, his eyes closed to hide the slight red that came to them before it vanished back to blackness.

"Do try one, though I'm sure you know to mind the thorns. They can be a bit of a pain." Nikolas grinned as his tongue again rolled over his slowly bleeding lips, though the blood was easing to where it wouldn't run anymore and he would pout to himself. "But I do warn, they are bitter."

Orbs trailing down to look at the berries placed before her hooves. These were black berries, truly she's never seen such and never heard of raspberried either. Her eyes watched them funny shaped fruits curiously. Obiviously she wasnt going to try what ever this Soquili ate. Who knows what kind of trick he is trying to pull. She snorted and looked away from them. "Blood berries....the name...does not make it sound too pleasing." She turned back staring at Nik with glossy eyes. Cherries she knew, they were indeed sweet. But blood? Why refer them to blood. Awnaety has never really found herself with a huge wound where she had to lick to clean it. So blood was not something she had tasted before. Nikolas' sharp teeth shone and reflected the moon's rays once in a while during moments when he spoke. Awnaety watched him lick his lips, almost looking like if he was enjoying the time he licked his lips. "Please if the berries make you drool, do devour them yourself." Her eyes fell back onto them berries which sat quietly waiting for death. Pain in fruit? Can she find that amusing? Nt exactly, she did not see berries as a worthy thing to watch in pain. Watching ones that showed much more emotion such as a living thing like herself, was more amusing.

The forest was quiet, and little noises were made here and there. Awnaety wondered curiously if they would be one of the 'tough' boys any time soon. Her eyes flowed bpast his coat and looked into the dark. Depression rosed from it as she saw an image of Vibrant standing in the distance. Awnaety shook her head and brought he gaze on Nik. Who seem to still be licking his lips joyfully while he warned her about the thorns. He had just brought the batch over, perhaps he cut himself then? Which was why he was licking his lips. Her eyes caught onto the sharp fangs. Like wolves' fangs. Another shiver ran down her back. The mare looked up and above them, where the light had found its way to shine on them. She wondered how long into the night has she spent with him.

A snap of a twig made her head fling to the side. Her curls flying with her, a few loose twigs flying out and away from her mane. Curls falling back into place, Awnaety cranked back towards Nikolas and then down to the berries. Glossy little things. She much prefered the red ones she often hunted for around the forest. Blue berries were the sweetest and one of her mot favourites. Now wasnt the time, specially in the dark. Looking back up to Nikolas, Awnaety kept her mouth shut, waiting for him to say something she found interest in.

"Eh, it's just their color as they are as red as the blood that flows through us all." He shrugged as his eyes watched her.

His black eyes had focused themselves on the mare's throat, watching the blood being pulsed just beneath the skin. Watching the flesh move as she breathed, shifted and turned. If only it were the old days, his lips would have been at her throat and the sweet nectar of her blood quenching his thirst. There was a lust in his eyes as she looked away from the mare to hide what was in his eyes. He wasn't that way anymore, he had adapted, or at least he thought, to the ways of his new life. He wasn't exactly the blood drinker anymore, even if the lust burned him almost every time he looked at someone.

"Please, try them, I'll be..." He paused as his eyes locked onto her throat again, before he shook his head turning away. "Over here." He finished stepping back back over toward the bush he had pulled the berries from.

Stopping at the bush his head lowering to nose at the thorned branches before pulling back and trying at another angle, his mind swam a bit. He was trying not to think of how things were at one time. In a time when his brother and himself were the worst of their kind, drinking the blood from the same host as a mirrored reflection. Shaking his head again he sighed, those days were gone now and he had to make due with what he had and berries were the closest thing he had to the real thing.

'Keep it together Nikolas' he thought to himself nipping at the berries. 'those days are gone. That life is gone. Furthermore Kristopher would hang you out to dry if you hurt someone... Again.' The last thought made him shudder.

Ah yes, Kristopher, he would be the one to lash out at his brother if he were to learn that he had hurt someone. That was one wrath he wouldn't want to face, again. Too many times had he messed up and Kristopher had to do something to fix it. Well not this time, he wasn't going to make the same mistakes... Hopefully not... Finally getting a mouthful of the bitter sweet berries, he chewed slowly. Letting the juice from them seep down his throat, letting his mind drift away from the thoughts and get back to the present...

A shiver ran down her back as it felt like someone or maybe even something was watching her. Awnaety looked at Nikolas carefully, his eyes were dark as ever and ever darker than hers. Almost emotionless, or as it seemed. The dark mare felt another shock down her spine as something seem to really made her skin crawl. Darkness was getting to her once again then. Her heart raced a bit, but she continued to remain calm on the outside. What ever this rushed feeling was, it sure was getting to her. Keeping a careful watch on the glowing stallion, out of the corner of her eyes, she kept a close watch too. Hard to do both, but she managed. Nikolas went off to pick more berries, and she remained solidly standing. Her heart pumped lively in her, and something did not feel right. The spirits seem to tell she should head off and take a rest. Ignoring the imaginary calls, she continued to keep her eyes wide open for any daring creatures to come and attack her. She was a fast runner, and was completely confient what ever dared to, will lose against her. Oh the great feeling of winning, always something that sparked her heart and light the fire that glows in her eyes. Nowadays, the fire was put out by the tears. No more tears from her though. Awnaety had made that final, she would not weep no more over pathetic beings who failed to cherish her.

Stubborn self rising as her head was filled with thoughts, her attention had lifted from the earth and the surroundings around her. In her own little world. The sound of chewing awoke the mare. A slow fire started within her, was she back to her old self then? Her eyes slowly gazed up to Nikolas who was enjoying the berries. She still refused to. Not ever would she try the food he sugested. Onless, she already knew what it was. Flicking her tail rather roughly and harshy, the end flapped aginst her rump on each side as it flicked from left to right. Eyes with a dark mood in them, but her mouth remained emotionless. No longer seeing stallions as pathetic, she remmebered how she saw all the others were just as pathetic. Indeed, she was healing, and rather fast. However, she still couldnt go back to her old self all the way. Still, things remained different once messed with. The mare snorted and looked between the trees in the direction she came from. A confidence rosed within her. She needed no one, anymore. Starting to trot slowly towards where she came from, the mare halted and turned back to look at Nikolas and faced foward again as she kept trotting.

An ear turned as he heard steps moving away from him, away from the clearing that he had been standing in and where he had brought the mare. Without really lifting his head or turning around to watch her leave, Nikolas just kept eating. Did he really care if she had left him, alone? Perhaps, but it didn't really mean much, he didn't know her name even if he had spouted his so willingly. Did he think hat maybe something might happen to her? Of course, but he had his feeling that maybe this was all out of his reach. He had never really known true love, being the 'truest' of love, in his own. Pulling his head from the brambles and shaking the small twigs from his head, small scratches appearing on his face from the thorns. His own black tail flicked over his white rump and down over the rose brand that stood out against the field of white. Head turning toward the darkness over head, he sighed a bit before finally looking back toward where she had once stood.

His tongue seeped from his muzzle and over his lips, the razor tips of his hidden fangs tickling just a little in their own way. He stepped over to where the air was still vaguely warm, his head low and sniffing at the grass that had been about her hooves. It was time to hunt, or so it came across in his head. A black luck came to his eyes, his coat almost seemed to dim to where it shone not but a little from the moon over head. Slinking off to one side, his head lowered, predatory like, he stepped near soundlessly into the shadows. His pace was easy and light, though he gained ground quick, having given her quite the head start, her scent wafted through the trees and was an easy trail to follow. Picking a more off path way he wove through the trees and past small openings. When he came close, Nikolas slowed, dark eyes watching her dark form before him. For now, he waited... Followed and watched, he would have a chance. A chance for what? Only he knew...

An shiver ran down her back. Awnaety snorted hating how it kept happening. Tonight was certaintly not a good night to be the only mare out here alone. She could hear movement behind her, no matter how slick the other one is. An object can be heard somewhat by one when its going against the wind. Halting in her steps. Awnaety pretended not to notice. Who ever dares to approach her in such manner certaintly has guts. The dark mare sighed and continued her pace, letting her mane and tail flings behind her. His scent had not been lost, even when the breeze seem to pick up and brush against and into her nostrils. Halting again, she turned around and face the direction to where about she came from, laid down on the soft grass. Now she was in the field, the open fields. Letting the moon slide across the night sky, her heart slowed its pace, and all you could hear were the chirping and night shifts of the crickets. Her eyelids fell shut, only for a few seconds and then opening them back up. Scent still there. The emotionless side started wearing off, Awnaety felt her old self creeping back. Not the same but she could feel it returning. Her eyes seem to be darker, no pain stood in herheart and no feelings were there.

What would tonight bring for her? More events to make her stronger or would this simply be the end. Awnaety didnt know why such ideas were popping into her head, but the spirits seem to whisper acround her. Rolling onto the side, she waited for whatever to come. It wasnt a sure feeling, perhaps it was just her, but those shivers didnt seem to be lying. As well, Nikolas, the stallion she had just met seem to be around. Was he following her? Awnaety sighed and frowned as she looked up, seriously he needs to just walk away and she should have just walked away first chance she had gotten. This was rather annoying if he lingered around her. Awnaety liked to be alone, liked to share her space with only herself. Another shiver, this time she was sure something was there. The stars out tonight, twinkled lightly in the sky. Nothing new about that, most nights stars would twinkle brightly and catch the hopeless soquilis. Awnaety snorted, she was not hopeless. In fact, she was doing just fine. The tale was if you make a wish on the first star you see each night, your wishes come true. The truth is that is not true. Its just all in their heads, that was true. Awnaety chuckled, laughing at the others no doubt. When will they realise? That they are living in a run on path that leads no where.
