Tsu was keeping an eye on the mare. He saw she looked at him, at his wings, and his horn probably, it was not the first time. Many soquili always wondered about his kind, fluttercorn were not that common actually. She looked like she wanted to ask him about it, but she couldn't manage to form the question. So he decided to help.
"Does my parents are like me ?" he smiled. "Yes and no. My mother is a fluttercorn like me, she is all green with clover marks. My father is an unicorn with rainbow colors. I have one brother who is fluttercorn like me but with a lot of bright color, and a sister who is just an unicorn, she is white with color spot everywhere."
He really loved his family so it was easy for him to speak about them. But he hoped he didn't bothered her.

Rennigan's eyes widened with surprise. It was as if he had read her mind! Her mind quickly raced backwards. She hadn't said something without intending to, had she? How had he known that she was thinking about his parents and his breed?
Thinking back on her actions, she recalled that she had been staring at him. Her eyes had lingered upon his unusual features, hadn't they? That had probably been what tipped him off on her thoughts. It wasn't that hard to figure out, really. And then even her half-mangled attempt at a question had probably told more about what was on her mind.
Somehow, all these things had combined to let him answer her question before she even had said it. A small unintentional smile crossed Rennigan's face. When she realized it was there her ears flew up with even more shock. What was she smiling about? When was the last time she had really smiled at a stranger?
"I'm sorry... I'm acting a bit odd today..." Her voice was still soft but had lost some of its distance and edge. It was more... disoriented, uncertain. She was behaving strangely and wasn't quite certain of why... or for what reason.

Tsu was still leading the way, they were not too far now. He saw that Renningan reacted with surprise, did he went to far ? Maybe he could have let her ask before. "You're not odd, well i don't think you are. I am sorry if i was rude. It's just not the first time someone was wondering about my kind, i thought i would help you. Don't esitate if you have question."

"It wasn't rude." Rennigan corrected him quickly, more quickly than she would usually have responded. That alone gave her more surprise. She truly was behaving strangely.
And the smile was back. I'm smiling! What for? Her mind raced but, finding no answers, she turned her face from him to hide it with embarrassment. Whatever the reason for why she was acting like this it would probably drive the stallion away. When had she ever done anything but drive stallions away? This time would be no different.
The smile faded and the hurt started to flood her. This time would be no different at all. When she turned back to him he would be gone. She just knew it.

When the mare said he wasn't rude he felt better, what a relief. He didn't knew what he would have done if she was hurted because of him. "That's a relief. Tell me if i ever hurt you, i will take full responsibility if i do."
Then he saw her smile, even if she quickly turned her head. It made him really happy, it look like she didn't smiled a lot, it was actually his purpose for bringing her at the place they were heading. To make her smile without worries.
And actually they were arrived. He recognized the path. They need to go throught some trees and then they will arrive at the waterfall. He walked a little faster, he used his horn to put the branchs aways from the path for her, it would be bad if she get hurt.

When Rennigan finally got the courage to turn back to her companion she noticed him holding tree branches away from her path. It was a kind gesture. A very kind gesture. It was a gesture that meant that he was looking out for her wellbeing, a prospect that filled Rennigan's head once more with conflicting thoughts and feelings.
"Thank you," she said softly while passing beneath the withheld branches. As she did she began to hear something, the sound of rushing water. She stopped and blinked at this, ears pricking up in attention. "Are we here?" She had not yet seen the waterfall but could smell the water hanging in the air.

Tsu smiled and waited for her to pass the branches, still moving away the other one on the path. "Yes we are here. It's just after the big tree you can see straight."

Rennigan passed through and under the branches, following the sounds ahead of her. She felt secure enough not to have to look backwards to see if Tsubasa was following her. For a moment all that was forgotten, though. Forgotten as the sight before her took her breath away.
She looked at the waterfall before her, water rushing over rocks to crash into a misting pool beneath it. It was beautiful. Very beautiful. Tears sprung unbidden into her eyes but they were not the insecure tears that she was used to feeling. They were.. amazed... happy.
An incredulous smile lit up her face. "Look at it! How did you ever find this place?" She walked up to the side of the pool and stared at the frothing waters beneath her. "I've never seen anywhere like it!" All of her distance and hesitance melted away with that sight. Even if it was just for this moment, Rennigan found herself behaving like a regular mare for once, not like herself.

Tsu followed the mare steps till the waterfall. Looking only for her reaction. He knew already this place even if it still surprise him everytime.
She was finally smilling and she looked like at ease, it made him happy. "Actually it's a long story. One of the mare in my teepee found this place when her previous mate showed her. Then she spoke about it to my mother. And my mother showed me after, she said to me that this place can give warmth to any heart, and i must show it to special friends or more."

"Special friends? But we aren't even really friends yet... we barely even know each other." Suddenly shy again, Rennigan deliberately looked at the water instead of at the stallion. Special friends.... For someone who didn't have any friends, let alone special ones, it was a prospect that she longed for. Even someone to talk to would be nice.. or someone who didn't mind her not speaking... like this stallion seemed to.
And the waterfall really was very beautiful. More calm now, Rennigan stood and watched it. If she ever chose to make somewhere her home it'd be somewhere like this.

Tsu was a little embarrassed, it was true they just met. "Well i am sorry if I force it, I think you're already my friend, and you are special in your way I guess, in the good way i mean, so i felt like showing it to you, it's all."

Now he was embarrassed. He was embarrassed talking to her. The strangeness of that fact alone touched Ren. She was usually the embarrassed one. She was usually all sorts of things... things that seemed to be falling apart in front of this stallion. She was usually cold. She was usually distant. She was usually silent. Then why did she feel like opening up to this one, for once in her life?
"I'd... be very happy to have you as a friend." Her voice was still quiet and hesitant but she kept speaking all the same. "I don't have a lot of friends, so..." She didn't have any friends, really. "So... I'd like that very much."

Tsu smile become bright. He was really happy she accepted him as a friend. He didn't know why but when he saw her he felt like it was normal for them to meet at that time. He wondered why but not being the kind to think a lot he just acted the way he felt. He was happy now he didn't do anything wrong, and it looked like he was able to make her happy.
"Great, I am really happy thank you. Sometimes I used to be forceful, my brother always got mad at me because of that. Because I just act before thinking I guess. But my mother always told me that if I can bring happiness to someone, I need to do my best."

"My mother always used to tell me..." She trailed off, considering. Abruptly she laughed. It wasn't very long or loud, but it was full of cheer that she hadn't felt for a long time. "I can't actually think of anything my mother used to say like that." She could think of a number of verbal nuances and sayings she was fond of but none that really applied to the current situation.
She paused, looking from the beautiful waterfall to the beautiful stallion that she had made the acquaintance of. It was so strange to think of how the day had started and how it looked to be ending. Could her luck and life really turn around so fast?

Tsubasa was looking at the mare. It look like she felt better than when they met first. Did he managed to make her happy ? Her laugh seemed to approve. He wanted to say something but something catched his eyes in the sky, it was an eagle, a familiar one."Nodin? What are you doing here ?"The eagle looked like he wanted the stallion to come back home."I am sorry Ren, it looked like something happened in my teepee, it's my auntie familiar. I need to go back quickly. I want to see you again, I promise I will find a way to find you. Good bye"Then he nodded in apology and with his wings he went in the sky, following the eagle. "Take care Ren" Then he disappeared in the sky.
