Side glancing at teppy she shrugged some. "I have nodiea if they can. But they seem like they are on a mission." She laughed, watching her go upriver some. "They do it the same time every year. So I'm not to sure." She titled her head a little and tried to think of something. "Maybe it has to do with mating? the humans aren't touching the ones that are going up just the ones that seem to be coming back down."
Following the fest colored mare she wasn't so careful... Stumbling over rocks and slipping all over the place. She wasn't all that graceful!

"Careful!" Istas was slipping all over the place, and the some of the splashes reached Teppy. She laughed and shook a bit, her mane dripping from where it was trailing in the water.
"Hmm, that makes sense, if it's the same time every year." She continued less carefully now, splashing around a bit herself. She glanced at the humans and sure enough, they were only catching fish coming down. "It must be hard work getting over the falls!"
She thought she saw something silver flash in the air above the waterfall but she wasn't sure. Weaving her way through any humans she made her way as close as possible to the falls. A light spray tickled her face and she giggled at the sensation. "It doesn't look like they can just swim-"
But Teppy stopped mid-sentence when a fish jump straight over the falls. She pranced excitedly. "Oh did you see that!"

Having managed to catch up to Teppy in a not so graceful manner. She had missed the jumping fish... The spray from the water fall was making her a little a chiily but it was when Teppy got excited that she looked up and a fish trying to get over the fall's back fin slapped her face. "Whaaah~" She cooed out and stepped back wards. "Well excuse me!" She huffed at the fish and then realized what Teppy had got excited about seeing another fish clear over. "WHoa~ that's really amazing.... swimming up stream and over the water fall like that...." she was almost speechless at the idea. "I've never had to do anything as tough as that..."

Teppy snorted as she tried to swallow her giggles but she couldn't hold it and burst out laughing. "Haha I think you made a friend. I'm sorry for laughing, wahaha!" she tried apologizing. It took her a moment to get her breath back and calm down.
"Yeah me either," the seasonal mare said, wondering how hard it was for a fish to jump like that. "The falls must be ten times their size!" Another fish darted from between her front legs and leaped high just to miss. "Poor thing. Maybe we can help them." Teppy dipped her muzzle in the water and tried to catch one without success. Suddenly as she was standing there something cold and wet hit her right on the flank. She jumped away with a squeal, splashing water everywhere. "What was that?!"

Istas gaped at her with a bit of a pout on her face. She felt a bit embarrassed for sure! She shook her head to try and get the water from her face and she laughed too. But then nodded listening to her. "I'm not to sure... I think they have to do it themselves... you know? like a right of pass-" When Teppy jumped and manged to soak Istas she Laughed.
"ohoho! Looks who's getting smacked by fish now!" She laughed a bit more, before she tried to shake herself off and stumbled on the wet rocks again. "Oh man this is starting to get a bit dangerous!" She footed her way toward the land with heavy stumbling steps. "We should probably go and dry off near the fire so we don't get sick."

"Oops, s-sorry!" Teppy's word started out steady but as soon as she took one look at Istas' dripping form, she started to laugh again. "Hahaha, I'm sorry, I'm sorry... You look so funny though!" She shook her mane, feeling the weight of the water pulling down her long hair. "I must be a mess too."
Stomping around in the river like that made the otherwise clear water dusty. "Yes, good idea. If it's a rite of passage, we should probably leave them alone." Teppy followed after Istas as nimbly as she could. A swirl of wind brushed along her back, making her shiver. "Brr... is it suddenly cold out here?"

"More then likely, it is starting to get late." She smiled a bit at her. "Oh you lovely!" She grinned before she shook her body trying to get more water off and then making room for Teppy so that she had room on the shore. "Over this way."
Leading the way, she would take her over toward one of the large fires the two leggers had made. They didn't need to get to close for the heat to radiate off and into their pelts. "We'll dry faster here." She had learned this thats to Luna.

Gratefully Teppy stepped onto the shore and found a place near the fire. She could feel her coat drying, but her mane stubbornly held on to the moisture. She turned her head and flicked her mane to one side to expose it more to the heat.
"That's better," she said with a grin. Teppy thought for a moment, gazing at the darkening sky. "Hmm, it is getting late. It's almost time for me to check on my two-legger."

"I guess your right...But I don't really need to check on mine; she's usually doing her own stuff and take care of us." She laughed some, her bell jingling as she did. She was su used to it, she rarely ever heard it anymore. "I had fun though.. not the usual things I do; but it was nice for a change." She smiled at Teppy. "Do you think that it would be possible for me to see you again?"

"My two-legger gets lonely, I think. She's too cranky to have many friends," Teppy said with a laugh, reluctantly moving away from the fire. Before she stepped into the trees, she nodded and smiled. "Of course! Today was fun. I hope to see you again too, my friend. Goodnight."
With that she was off, barely making a sound as she went as she navigated through the familiar forest. The mare was feeling cheerful, and she stepped high. What would tomorrow bring?
(( I hope you don't mind me ending this here. x3;; ))
