"That's sort of creepy, inn'it? I've got my own personal stalker." She giggled, but her tail was wagging. He certainly was an odd one, especially if he had time to watch her like that.

Well, better to play things out and get to know him, huh?

"Anyways, well. Maybe..." Her voice trailed off. "Maybe eventually. Not ready just yet, but eventually. I'd rather get to know a guy, first." But he was sort of cute, in an alarming sort of way.

He nodded and nudged her. "Let's go for a hunt. See what you're made of and all that." he streched. "I know where there are simply tons and tons of badgers." he said, smiling. "They are yummy."

"Think I can't do it, huh? Nice form of flattery. You lead the way so I can prove my mettle." She chuckled. "That way, too, I can see if you're hot stuff enough." She teased lightly back as she took one more bite of the unfortunate rabbit, then stood and stretched out.

He smiled and looked to her. "The badgers are crafty. I wanna see how good of a hunter you are before we make any commitments." He grinned and lowered himself, sniffing.

"Heheh, flattering, seeing as you're the guy after me." She moved forward, ahead of Efreet, at an even and slow pace. As she went, she swept her tail and lightly flicked the tip of his lowered nose.

"Then lets go, you big brute, and see what we get."

He chuckled and nipped at her tail, smirking as she walked. He could not catch a scent yet...but they were getting close to where he had seen them.

The hunt had caused Sorrel to quiet. She was focused intently on the scent of badger, which was growing heavier...

And then she saw it, not the badger itself, but the den where the scent led. Her tail swished and she turned her attention to the surroundings of the dark hole. There were marks above and below it, obvious signs of the badger that called it home.

Efreet smirked and sat. He was not much of a stake-out hunter. If an animal went into its den, he would not wait for it to re-emerge. He would dive into the hole and dig it out, destroying its home and getting whatever was inside.

It was more civil. If there was a nest of babes inside, he didn't want to leave them without a mother. They would die either way, so why not just make it faster?

But he did wait today. "After you. Laides first and all that." he whispered to Sorrel.

She gave the male a cheeky grin and wink, then pressed her ear to the earth... Listening... She could hear something moving around down there, but it sounded like one big thing. Perhaps it was just one badger.

"Nah, lets not stake out, lets 'ave, I been a bit bored, lately. C'mon." She whispered to him, then stood and gently padded further over the den, to a rough spot where she thought she heard the beast... And then further. She began to dig like crazy after motioned for Efreet to stay at the front, in the event hat the prey came forward.

The orange wolf nodded and leapt over Sorrel, landing before the cave. There was a loud hiss and a scuffling noise and Efreet peered into the black cave. A small motion showed him that something was there. A grey blur was waddling from the cave. Efreet paced until he was behind the entrance. The badger scurried out and Efreet pounced, shoving it down. He smirked smugly, then yelped as it clamped his paw in its teeth and scurried back into its home.

Sorrel broke into the middle of the tunnel and continued to dig around the edges, filling it in with debris until the second half of the creature's den was blocked off. The badger was stuck there between Sorrel and Efreet, either way it chose, it was going to meet it's death.

"You alrigh'? Sounds like he bit ya somethin' nasty."

Efreet held up his paw, blood dripping from it slightly. "Just a n**." he said. The badger snarled and looked between the two wolves. "Ok...get read to catch him." he said, then dove into the hole, barking madly.

Sorrel tensed and waited patiently as Efreet charged what he could fit of himself into the badger den entrance. Fortunately, it had the effect he was going for. The snarling, spitting thing turned tail and fled. He'd of been insane to face the brightly colored demon. Unfortunately for him, he ran straight towards the maw of a younger Helix.

For her age, Sorrel was actually quite skilled, for living on your own sort of did that to you. It was either learn to hunt and survive or not and... Uh, suffer the alternative. As the badger emerged, it skidded to a halt and was about to dive back down, but her jaws clamped hard on it's hind quarters and she shook it violently, before tossing it high into the air and letting it hit the earth.

The dazed and in pain creature tried to retreat once again, but her maw was wrapped about it's neck before it could go any further. It kicked and swung it's claws at her, causing a gash to form on her chest, but a quick chomp dispatched the life from the struggling badger.

Efreet chuckled. "Nice toss." he gimped over, paw still raised. He sniffed the badger first, not noticing that she was hurt. "Well....Hunter's share." he offered, then grabbed the bager and turned, running with it, looking over his shoulder at her teasingly.

"Heyyyyyyy." She wasn't exactly hungry, his offering had filled her up earlier, and she hadn't been exactly hungry then, either. Still, it was the point of the thing. She narrowed her eyes playfully and her tail swished.

"You get back here!" She charged after him and ignored the burning sensation in her chest. The gash wasn't really that deep, right? But it still hurt and beads of red were slipping from it as she ran, matting her fur.
