Taigi couldn't stop his heart from fluttering excitedly when she said she'd stay. He gave her another smile, this one more than likely the widest he could physically achieve. "Oh, before I saw you?" He thought back on that. And how silly an idea it was for the colt to think back on something so obvious, "adventuring, of course!"
He wondered what she was doing sneaking away from her family as he always did. Maybe, just maybe, she was as eager to explore as he was? Tai shook his head, more to himself than anything else, only to shake it again when his bangs fell to cover his eyes.

"I knew it!" she announced loudly. They had that much in common. Maybe Dad might let them play together sometime vithout having to hide out. She gave a little hop of excitement and grinned at Taigi. "You should meet Daa sometime. Vhen vee could play together all the time!" It was true that snuck away from her father often so that she could do as she wanted without being smothered for being the girl. It wasn't as if she was going to break or something.
It was strange that she had been around these parts before and never seemed to see anyone else except for her own family. Perhaps he lived on the other side of the forest or was he really venturing this far from home? "So vhere do you live? Anyvhere are here?"

Grinning in return, Taigi nodded enthusiastically, "yeah, that'd be great!" If properly introduced, surely the filly's father wouldn't mind her being in his company. And then they could indeed play together all the time. Just the thought made him bounce excitedly, but he quickly composed himself.
"Where do I live? Hm..." Thinking how to describe this best was difficult. He knew the way naturally, but telling of it to someone else was another thing entirely. It wasn't like he counted the exact number of trees on the way nor was there a special trail. In all truth, his wandering instincts usually managed his getting to and fro places. "Well, it's pretty far, I think, I started out when the navy blues of the sky faded to a gray-violet; The early morning." He gave a swift nod to confirm this, "it's in this forest, though! I just love traveling around here..."

A little filly giggled as he tried to explain where he came from. Somewhere in the wood? So he did live around here. At least it would make it easier to him often when he did meet her father. "I haven't been around much. vill you being me sometime?" she asked him curiously. After all it would probably be a good idea if they're parents met too. But she was probably getting a little ahead of herself.
"Are your Maa and Daa together?" The though just came to mind as she thought of her own family being broken. Or if not broken, separated or fractured. Why was thinking about this? His were probably a normal family with both.

"To my home? Well, I suppose!" He was amazed at how long the grin'd been present among his features. Not that he minded, but it was a nice thought, to play with someone who he was so likened to. Someone who seemed just as adventurous as he was.
Her second question took him by surprise. Taigi cocked his head, green eyes piercing, and his mischievous and playful grin faltered for a fraction of a second before he spoke, "no, they're not, as a matter of fact. My 'Maa' left to go exploring when I was but a hatchling." By hatchling, he meant several days, if even that, after he emerged from his basket.
His heart grew heavy with sorrow at the thought of his mother. She was not unlike a dream to him: graceful, beautiful, adventurous. The ideal qualities of a parent. But if he hadn't met her, a second time where his siblings had naught but the 'first encounter', oh how easy it would be to speak of her.

So his mother had left him as well. Probably before she could get to know him and his siblings. After all she had only known him for a short time and was already enjoying herself with the playful colt. "Mine aren't eivher. Maa left us vhen she had us then came back shortly after but she couldn't stand the sight of us and left again." her voice was almost a soft whisper when she spoke, the ever present smile she had, had disappeared. She really didn't know why she left them but it didn't really matter now, did it?
Nevara cleared her throat and looked back at Tai, a smile tugging at her mouth that didnt quite reach her eyes. She'd make the most of her time and not dwell on those things. She could see from his features the subject had also hit a sore spot for her new friend. Perhaps someday they might talk about it, but today was not that day.
"Too bad it's winter now. I vound a really cool place the ovher day I vhink you'd like." If she knew what heaven looked like, she suspected it looked something like the place she found. It may be to cold to take advantage of the place, but just visiting it might be fun. It could end up being a meeting place for the two later on in the future. "Did you still vanna see it?"

His eyebrows knit together when she spoke of her mother leaving as well. But this filly's story was far more sorrowful. '...couldn't stand the sight of us and left again.' The words kept swirling about his mind and he couldn't quite grasp the meaning of such actions. Could a mother do that? Leave her children, then return only to confirm her loathing of them?
Taigi wondered if he could possibly help the filly, even if for the slight of the moment. But he wasn't used to such topics, even though it was one that related to his own life, so all he could do was give her a smile that was tinged with sadness, his head nodding in understanding.
The next topic 'Nevvy' brought up was a brighter one, however, and his smile stretched as the first couple of words were spoken. A really cool place. Sounded like Taigi's kind of thing. "Of course I want to see it, Nevvy! I'd absolutely, positively love to!"

"Great!" she replied happily. "It's not that far from here." she pointed out. She had only just been to the place once, but that was enough for her to claim the spot as her favorite in the entire forest.
Nevara nudged his muzzle lightly, simply as a friendly gesture and started lead the way through the thick brush. "This way!" As she continued the on her from memory she just caught the scent of fresh water in her nostrils. The sound of roaring water and more birds chirping happily was another sign that they in the right direction. And as she bushed herself through yet another wall of thick bushes she spotted what she wanted to show him.
"Here it is!" she announced stepping out of the way and giving Tai room to get a good glimpse at the place. The water roared in the background from the huge waterfall that spread little water droplets throughout the area, the pond at the bottom of it with it's crystal clear water, filled with so much life. This was why she enjoyed it so much. It was somewhere peaceful and full of so much left you could feel the energy of it.
She chanced another glance at Tai and smiled "Do you like it?"

Taigi tread after her with light, excited steps. The misery-bringing thoughts from but a few minutes ago left him with the wind that stirred his bicolored, monochrome mane. He could tell that she'd lead him somewhere amazing. There was a feeling that escalated with each step bringing them closer, ecstatic, almost.
As they neared, the sound of rushing water took to the still air, and he could feel the moisture wadding up. He was curious now, far more so than before. The air bounced with their combined enthusiasm, and he knew that it was just through a wall of bushes.
After pulling through, and sighing gratefully at the wonder of his mane keeping apart from the bushes when he did so, he couldn't help his mouth from dropping open. It was glorious: the sight of so much water in one place, cascading down and stretching out into a shimmering pond.
Awe evident in his features, he slowly turned to gaze at his friend, a smile building at the corners of his mouth, yet that very same mouth refused to close until he spoke, "I love it, Nevvy!"

Nevara's smile grew and spread widely across her face. "I'm so glad! I vas thinking that ve could use this place to stay in touch. You know... meet back here sometime." she giggled happily and pranced slightly beside him. She was just so happy that liked this place as much as she did. Hopefully this wouldn't be the last time they came here together. After all, there was alot to do for such playful fouls like themselves, perhaps even adolescence when they got a little older.
She paused from her display during the spat of energy and turned to look at the sky. It was far past the time her father would have gotten up and had probably noticed she had snuck off once again. Damn... Which meant it was getting close to breakfast and he's want her back.
Hair ruffled and tossed about with streaks of mud and crusted dirt the little filly turned to her new friend with a grim smile. "I know it's still early, but my daa's gonna want me back now... Soooo... ve should so come back here sometime!!"

Definitely. They should definitely meet here whenever they wanted to meet and play. It was a beautiful location that even Taigi, in his vast explorations of the forest, had never come across.
Maybe... Just maybe, they might stay good friends well into their lives, and maybe, they would still be so when they grew to be adults. He grew giddy with such thoughts and grinned at her as she pranced around.
When she turned to the sky, tilting her head up to face the first clouds of morning, he imitated her actions, his mane falling backwards to tickle his back. He was quicker to lower his head, however, and noticed how her expression had changed while she was looking up. He didn't have to ponder the idea too much, however, because Nevara soon lowered her own head and gave him a smile that had a certain sorrow about it.
Returning the smile in an exact fashion, he nodded slowly, "yeah, we should! I'll come here as often as I can, and hopefully bump into you again!" His smile was now sincere, lined with no regret, as he gazed at Nevvy, taking in the exact contours of her shape, in fear of forgetting. But he stopped as soon as another happy thought lit up his spirit. Of course they would see each other again. No doubt about it.
[end.]
