Having Pi so close to him sent a slight shiver up Achan's back, but he ignored it. He waited as she clearly struggled for the right thing to tell him. When it came he was only slightly shocked by her answer.
"AI huh? ... My roommate, South, talks about them all the time. I guess I should have figured since you smell like metal and all." He sent her a slight grin and thought to himself. No taste or smell. The world would be like hell if he couldn't have those senses.

"Ah..." Pi said softly, a shiver going down her...spine. "South...she never got an AI, so she's obsessed about them. I should make a point of avoiding her in the future."
She grinned back at him. "Yes, I guess it would be silly if I smelled like anything organic, since I'm not. So," she said, relaxing against the couch. "What do you like to do, Achan? Have any hobbies, interests? Like to read books or listen to music?" Pi was intensely aware that the conversation was getting close to her. People didn't like conversations about other people, did they? They always preferred ones about themselves. Maybe this would make him relax more.
