"The basics?" SHe blinked at that and tried to think, but then Zip spoke up and she nodded. "Kinda like that. My agent got me on that. I have flat notes sometimes, so I work on them through humming first. If I can hit it right, humming, then I can singing."
She looked to Zip's legs and smirked. They were equally as hairless as her own, and she shaved this morning. "Right... Your face." She went on with it, but there was a laugh in her eyes.

"But wouldn't the recorder distort your voice?"
Riley looked a little confused as Zip seemed to stumble over talk of being manly, but listened with an interested look as both talked about singing. She smiled slyly at Zip. She had watched his stylist do his hair for their brief go on TV. He did indeed use quite a bit of product. Although, she had though that it had just been for his appearance.

Zip AfronZip took a sip of his water to hide his face due to his embarrassment about the topic of his shaved legs. He quickly changed the topic back to singing. "It only distorts your voice if you are using a bad recorder," he said. "Also singing to someone playing the music for you and have a vocal coach to help you master the songs. There's lots of ways to practice singing really." He paused for a second. "So, Riley, Khahlela, do you two have any gigs or acts lined up for the future?"

Riley shook her head. "Nope. Got one more audition lined up in a couple days. I hope that one goes over well."
She took a sip of her drink. "Do you have any suggestions?" Right now, she felt like she'd do anything to keep going. Being on stage with him (well, just the being on stage bit) had been wonderful and she wanted to keep going, but it just wasn't working out in her favor. Anywhere she went, they wanted some acting experiance.
"Maybe you can give me acting lessons?"

Zip Afron"When auditioning for Gisney, they really like young people who seem to be innocent and can be easily taken advantage of when it comes time for signing contracts," Zip laughed. On his first contract, Gisney completely ripped him off, but he got fame and influence over the company. So for his second contract, he pushed harder and got much money. "I could see what I can do, I have some influence in Gisney. I can try hooking you both up with some deals if you'd both be interested in that."

"I guess that makes sense. How else are you going to make money?" she rolled her eyes a little. But a contract somewhere was better than nothing.
"That'd be great," she said, nodding. Leaning back in her chair she laughed a little. "Maybe I should just date some famous producer. Seems like an easier way to go about all this."

Lela blinked at this news and nodded. She'd been content to let the two talk for a while. "For Ginsey? I could sing for the movies and such. I'm no actor. There's a reason I sing." She flushed a little and laughed, looking to Riley, seeing how eager she was.
"Oh, don't do that! If you do date someone like that, and it goes all wrong, you get the worse kind of publicity about you!" At least, she assumed she would.

Zip Afron"You really don't need acting experience to work for Gisney. But if you don't want me to make the connections, that's fine. Gisney isn't exactly the best group to work for, but its a good launching pad. I'll see what I can do for you though, Riley." "And that's very true," Zip nodded to Lela. He hated how true her words are. Zip's agent had told Zip who to date and who not to date multiple times. He's been 'dating' Veronice Huggies for a few years now, but their relationship is nothing more than a publicity stunt - and a cover for the both of them to get their agents off their backs. "Its also best not to date someone just for publicity, the relationship eventually just feels like a gimmick publicity stunt." He spoke from experience.

"I suppose so," Riley said. She had mostly been joking, she couldn't see herself taking orders and dating someone because she had been told to.
She ran her hands through her hair to push back the strays and looked over at Zip. "Oh, I never asked. What are you doing out and about today? This doesn't seem like some big fancy resturant or anything. Just taking a day off? Or hiding?" Zip hardly seemed like the type of person to just disappear for a few days, he always had movies coming out (No matter how terrible they could be), so she never imagined he had downtime.

Zip Afron"Nope, not in hiding," he laughed. "I don't really like the whole fancy formal dinner scene, its just not my style. I'm a lot more casual than that." If it were up to ZIp, he'd spend every day on the couch in front of the TV, flipping through channels with popcorn and drinks. Unfortunately, he needed to work too much to enjoy that luxury. Its not that he needed the money, its that he was under contract. "But there's a week off of filming for my next movie, so I'm just taking the time to enjoy myself and relax."

"That sounds nice, having time off. Gonna do anything else? Maybe visit some amusement parks?" The thought of Zip showing up for a nice relaxing day at Gisneyland was kind of funny. There was no telling how many screaming fan girls would be there.
"Oh! I was picked to play Odile in Swan Lake. I know Odette is the bigger role, but Odile is so interesting. Maybe you should come to a show? I've always found the ballet a pretty relaxing pasttime."

Zip Afron"I'd love to come see a show, just let me know the performance dates and I'll be sure to be there," Zip said with a smile. "Nope, no amusement parks or anything like that, I don't like big public appearances unless I absolutely have to. Just going to enjoy a relaxing lunch, then head back to my place and spend some alone time for myself."

"Sure, no problem," she said grinning. "I've got it written down at my apartment, so I'll send you an email when I get back, I'm pretty sure I still have your email on my computer."
Riley couldn't help but feel a little giddy inside. She really did like Zip as just a normal person. He was very nice and easy to talk to (even if he slipped and acted totally girly, it was part of his charm, she decided). It was just that, as much as she liked him on a personal level, she knew she also liked him on a professional leval, as having him coming to her performance could only help her attain a higher status in the fame world (even though she hated the thought of using people as stepping stones, it seemed like an unavoidable fact of life).
"Well, I should probably head out now, I'm sure you'd like to enjoy the rest of your day in peace." She smiled sweetly as she stood up and dug into her bag for money. "I really only came by for a drink. I've gotta get home and then into the studio to workout." She waved at him as she headed for the door. "It was nice talking to you," Riley said over her shoulder. "Oh! And it was nice to meet you, Lela!" she added, remembering to be polite.
