"Mom! C'mon, we're late!" The girl squeaked as she pulled the human woman through the snow from her small car as she juggled duffle bags and packages wrapped in holiday neutral snowflake paper.
"I'm sure Adhara will forgive you, Lori," the woman grumbled, shivering even in her multiple layers - for once simply dressed in dark jeans and a blue sweater that hung to her mid-thigh, the sleeves belling at the elbow, with a tighter silver turtleneck under it. Marlene wasn't crazy enough to head up into the snow in her usual plastic clothing - she had no desire to catch anything up here when she was supposed to be coming along as a guardian. And partially to make sure the young glutton didn't eat the resort.
The girl in question wasn't listening as she danced in front of the doors anxiously, all but bursting through them as they opened in a shower of snow. "Adhi!" She squeaked, wings flaring to shake off the snow that had fallen on them and the open coat flaring around her - her own crimson sweater carefully hemmed above her stomach and her pants belted tightly under its reach. The girl paused, pulling off her hat to free both her ears and the fluffy pigtails - tied with faux-fur puffs in a bright, festive green - and shake them to rid them of the constricted feeling.
She paused to take stock of everyone else that was there - two of the older children she didn't recognize, but everyone else. Her face lit, lips stretching into a wide grin and gloved hands clapping together. "'Zuba, Ebby, Duncan!" She continued her excited listing of faces she recognized before hurrying forwards into the crowd. It had been a while since she'd seen them.
"Hey, Lori, don't forget the.. presents..," the woman trailing behind her sighed, blue-painted lips puckering a bit before she shook her head and glanced down at the things she held, carefully moving to tip the small collection of gifts - tiny things, really, including a small stuffed toy shaped like a cat with the skeleton and heart visible called a 'Skelanimal', and hand held electronic card game for the drive back, as well as another package that she tucked under her arms for the guardians brave enough to host all of the spawns together for a full weekend. She shook her head, pausing to detangle another bag from the lot to set it down.
"I'm leaving the treats here, Lori," she offered, nodding at the bag. The girl glanced up, nodding and grinning. "Don't eat the Tupperware, alright?"
"Okay, mom," she continued, pausing before turning back to the gathered spawn. "Mom and I made all kinds of yummy things for everyone - there's two kinds of fudge - chocolate with walnuts and peanut butter and chocolate layered, gingerbread, sugar and chocolate chip cookies, date balls..." She nodded once more, giggling softly. "So you can have as many of anything as you want."
[ Skelanimal cat, for those of you who haven't seen them. I think they're cute. |D ]

'Zuba smiled, waving to Lori. "Got bigger." she observed, chuckling. All of her friends had grown, too! That made her happy. She blinked at the mentioning of the treats, slowly smiling a bit as the yumminess was named. "Have fudge?" she asked, wanting to make sure it was okay that she had some now. Normally, she would have just grabbed some, but Lori was a friend. It wouldn't be right to just take something from a friend like that.

'Zuba's smile was contagious for sure, and Adhara smiled back just as brightly, hugging the other girl back happily. Reena and Niita, however, weren't really willing to give up yet another person that evening, and decided to securely fasten themselves around 'Zuba's waist, being more stubborn and possessive than anything thing. The small girl grumbled softly at her tentacles, which had been doing this more and more lately, not only with people she had known previously, either. They'd done the same to Lironax, who she'd barely met, as well as Adriel, whom she'd known for a while, but didn't really mean for such a thing to happen. In fact, her tentacles had originally been scared of Adriel, given what had happened during their first meeting. Her wings fluttered softly, trying to pull away from the other girl fruitlessly; Adriel had been the only one who knew how to get them off. Speaking of that boy, she couldn't help but wonder if he was going to show up as well.
"Reena, Niita, please let go of 'Zuba!" she squeaked sadly, tugging at one of the tentacles, as though it would do as she told with some form of gesture. Instead, they just tightened around the girl just a little bit tighter. She sighed and drooped softly, giving a weak smile toward the other girl. "Sorry 'bout this, 'Zuba. They're kinda... clingy, recently," she commented as Reena wrapped around 'Zuba's arm to be able to pet her headwing softly, though she still held on tight, so that Adhara wouldn't get the upper hand of getting the two off.
When the next child entered, Adhara tilted her head as best she could to look toward the other and smile, though it was rather forced, given her current predicament. "Hi, Lori! Good to see you again," she said happily, the smile painted on her face having morphed into a rather sheepish one. Her wings fluttered softly, and she looked over toward the tupperware with an interested expression, looking back toward 'Zuba at her question toward Lori. She nodded along with the girl's question; she wanted to try some as well, and she'd never even heard of date balls, and as such, was adamant to trying them for the first time.
Guinevere nodded at the note, and accepted the clothes, folding them up and crossing the room to set them on the dresser of the second room. That done, she went back over to the other. "Ah; Adhara's told us about Miss 'Zuba. And I can admit that I know how that feels," she said about the clothes, chuckling softly. "Of course, Adhara is more the type to pack things that she doesn't need at all, instead. It's difficult to get her to only pack the needed things."

'Zuba blinked at the limbs as they secured themselves around her waist. She didn't look upset or anything; just a little surprised. She looked at Adhara, smiling lightly. "'S okay." she said, nodding once. She understood it wasn't Adhara's fault. She giggled, her earwing ruffling as it was pet. She reached up, gently trying to deter the tentacle away from her ear. "Nice to see too..." she said politely to it, trying to pull away. As nice as it was to see them, they were squeezing her a bit too tightly for her liking.
Stasia smiled, nodding once. "I wish 'Zuba was like that." she said, chuckling. "It's a struggle to get her just to pack the necessities." A dangerous struggle, at that, if 'Zuba happened to go into a tantrum. But that was a whole other story. "What time should I swing by to pick 'Zuba up?" she asked, looking to the other adult.

Mareike watched as Ebony latched onto the now clearly irritated Duncan. "I am not scared of anything" except maybe an angry Shar " but I suppose there isn't any point in ruining the mood" she agreed.
She looked down at Ebony again and grinned " I say we play lets make Ebby into a snowman." Going outside and burning off some energy was in her mind a good idea. Especially with so many excited people milling about now it's be hard to make them calm down on their own.
There was no real anger or evil motive in her suggestion of making Ebony the victim either , she just figured the girl would be the least likely to complain about having snow packed around her.

Ebby giggled at Mareike's suggestion. "That's gonna be coooold but okies!" she laughed, bouncing a bit.
The child was generally fond of toys, games and the like. And snow was okay to play in, even if it was cold and uncomfortable sometimes. She liked making snow angels - which worked pretty well cause of her wings.

"Yeah, and that is what stories of that man would do." He said, Vampy's presence even if only in stories would ruin the fun...
Duncan seemed to relax and perk up when the conversation wasn't continued. He didn't want to think about Vampy now, wanted to be able to try to enjoy this outing as much as he could. Once he was relaxed again, his temperament leveling out he turned to watch the others as they moved about, talking, joking, and found himself rather glad he'd come.

Adhara smiled weakly at the suggestion that it was okay, given that it really didn't seem like it was; after all, most other people have been rather irritated with her tentacles, so why would anyone not be. Even Adriel didn't seem to like them very much, and he had to deal with his own on a regular basis. Besides, with the way that her friend was trying to get the clingy appendages off, it didn't seem like she liked them very much. Gently, Adhara punched at one, which made the tentacle sort of 'look' at the small Lust spawn curiously, before once again wrapping around it's claimed person of the moment's affections.
Adhara groaned softly and outstretched one of her hands, grabbing at the tentacle and trying to pull it off of 'Zuba, only resulting in a tighter clinging. Of course, that was only until the attentions of Reena and Niita were taken by the girl with the tummy-mouth whom the three had met in the big store. The two purple limbs unattached themselves from 'Zuba's waist, and instead almost pulled Adhi toward the gluttony girl, where they reached toward her, albeit hesitantly. Reena prodded softly at the edge of the second mouth, ever the adventurer, while Niita only prodded gently at Chloris' hair, as though wary that that might attack the three as well.
Guinevere smiled warmly in reply, and couldn't help but chuckle softly. "I can only imagine what a pain that must be. I suppose we're lucky that Noah is having us watch a child like Adhara rather than... well, anyone less well-behaved," she commented, nodding assuredly a few times. She glanced back up at the question and thought for a moment. "Any time before six, I would say. Given the liking that Adhara has taken for your daughter, she could come over to our house at any time, if she wants, or if you can't pick her up tomorrow evening."

"Help yourself," the girl replied immediately, smiling brightly and setting out the open containers for everyone to help themselves to the treats before settling in to listen to the conversations, pausing to blink as the tentacles turned their attention to her.
"Hello," she greeted them with a soft laugh, moving to lightly stroke the appendage prodding at her hair, the mouth on her stomach opening with a soft gurgle and moving to lick the daring tentacle. "Careful," the girl warned lightly, gaze flicking down to watch the opening with a disapproving frown - though it simply yawned and closed again.

'Zuba flinched slightly as the tentacles tightened; okay, that was definitely too tight. She looked a bit relieved as the tentacles released her, rubbing her sides where the tentacles had hugged her. A little sore, but they'd be fine in a minute or so. Walking over to the container's, she opened one, took the fudge, and closed it. She looked at the little square of chocolaty confection before taking a bite, smiling faintly. "Is yummy." she said, nodding once.
Stasia smiled. "It can get annoying, but it's something you get used to." she said, shrugging slightly. She then nodded. "Alright then....I'll keep that in mind; I'm sure 'Zuba would enjoy coming to visit Adhara. I'll be here, probably around five-ish-five thirty-ish."
