Ochieng worked his jaw, looked to the side and thought for a moment. Was it worth an attempted recruitment for a meal? The leopard shirked a bit. He wasn't very much of a glory hound anyway. He reached out and patted the cub's white head with a black-footed paw, "Well no thank you, Devya. And I'm Ochieng. But you can call me Ochi." He smiled and took a slight step backwards.

"I'm just glad I could help you find your way back home, Dev. That's reward enough for me." And so, he turned and walked away, weaving between trees and roots before leaving Dev's sight, but still close enough for him to climb a tree to watch him make it all the way home, yet remain still unseen. He wasn't filled with pride as he left, nor a sense of having done a good deed, instead, the leopard just felt as though helping another was his duty. And he was glad to help.
