"Panderas called for help, and a guy thats able to see people's threads that connect them to fate showed up. He's busy fighting singe now, and seems to be more then enjoying it. Umm, Bastion took off with Lillaine, and Ishado went off with Rayvn, so the only ones fighting are Singe and Lillaine's brother." Nimm explained quickly, pointing the screen.

"As far as metal goes, check the kitchen, or you could pull copper from whatever blood isn't needed, and nickle can be found in most dirt outside." She said. She realized after finishing that she had read far too many books to know what was in dirt and what was in blood.

"I'd love to play errand boy for you Maya, but I'm a little tied up at the moment and it's trouble enough as is keeping her sedated while using my own body as an exhaust for the crap she's been infected with! So, you might need to do it." He'd look to Draega for a moment and sigh before diverting his attention over to the screen.

"Threads? As in what, the Threads of Fate? Bah, Reaper's had those cut before. Mean a*****e. It's not going to hinder him; it could actually provide him with one hell of an advantage depending upon what he wants to do. Hell, I'm pretty sure Reaper even removed your threads at some point, Nimm. It'd be easy to tell; he'd of rambled on about your ability to move about without laws of physics or otherwise and move through different plains, be they astral or otherwise."

She'd nod her head and summon Michelle, the slave girl would look around confused, seeing her mistress she'd get to one knee. Maya dipped her head in greeting. "I need human blood, go rob a blood bank" Michelle was then off, and Maya would start using the metal to create her device. Once it was finished Michelle would come back with a few thousand bags of blood. "Perfect" She'd then hooked up the blood to her machine and started to feed it to Draega.

Nimm took a moment to rifle through her memory bank, trying to remember any talk of her being able to do something other then what her ability normally allowed. "No, I don't think he has." She answered after a moment. "Unless he did it without me knowing, or without giving me some sort of talk." she explained.

She turned to see what Maya was up too, then figured it was time to give the woman more room. She hopped off her spot on the arm of the couch and moved it against the wall, repeating the process with the other furniture so there was enough room in the middle of the floor for every one and the machine. "Out of curiosity, she's not going to try and kill me when she wakes up is she?" Nimm asked, taking a seat on an over stuffed arm chair that was now in the corner. Last she remembered Dreaga was still pretty angry about something or other, and was a dragon to boot before she left.

"Good question! She may not even have the strength to care about grudges, or she may be over it though I'd only expect that to be the case if she were conscious for all of this." He'd wait for Maya to hook things up then nod before beginning work on removing the last traces of his own DNA as well as her own evolved strands. In the end she'd be all sorts of human. "She ought to be find here in a few moments, I just need to work with the IV drip to make sure she doesn't drain out from my procedure."

Nimm nodded and pulled her knees to her chest as she watched the whole procedure, going between Dreaga being fixed up, to teh fight on the TV. She was curious as to how well this whole thing would work out in the end.

As she turned to watch the fight, she raised a brow. The guy who could see threads had hers now? "How does that work, I'm not in this fight." she pointed out. She looked back at Kain a moment. "What would happen if he cuts my thread? I'm no where nearby."

Draega awoke slowly through the pain as if she were slowly swimming toward the surface in a sea of cement. And even before she opened her eyes she was aware that something was terribly wrong within her. There was something within her crying out as it died away and the more Draega reached out to it the further away it went until it seemed to have vanished completely and the loss of it brought tears to Draega's eyes. Her head was pounding and she found that she could not remember what had happened to her, it was hard to catch her breath and she was painfully aware of each beat of her heart. And it was the knowledge that her heart was beating that brought every past event washing over her in a wave. So as she opened her eyes tears streamed down. Unable to move other than turn her head to the familiar voice of the man she loved Draega uttered a choked sound of pain, fear, and sorrow, her icy-blue eyes glazed over from the tears.

"Kain..." she whispered, her voice softer than snow."...my heart...I can feel it beating." And then Draega attempted to reach for him so afraid that even now he would turn away from her. "Kain...what....what's happening to me.....what...what has he done?" Draega cried, her voice choking, already too weak to truly say what she wanted.

Maya moved to her side, she'd place a hand gently on hers. "Kain, she's awake." She'd look to her lord as those soft golden hues would look back to her sister. "You are human again my dear sister, Kain and I have been taking care of you, he has been worried, we all have been worried."

"Who's awake? Draega!?" He'd quickly finish his process, though sadly he hadn't gone quite fast. "Well, this is really gonna suck then. Sorry love, just don't pass out..." He'd begin to retract the thousands of different tendrils at this point, the smaller ones forming back into the larger which he'd slowly remove from her like...well, a tube being removed from skin (a sickening and painful experience; I've had three removed) and heal the minor wounds from the tendrils along the way. After a few minutes she'd no longer be literally tied to him but instead lying on the couch while Kain reverted back to...whatever the hell was normal for him. Humanoid without extra appendages.

"Yeah, Maya about covered it. You're as mortal as it gets now...sorry about that, but the 'Good Doctor' ******** you up to much to a point beyond mere healing. Your genes were wiped clean, of his virus and mine. That's all the good and bad news..." He'd fold his arms and look here over, glad she was alive and talking. That made him smile a damn fine grin. "You're going to be fine."

Draega, too weak to grip that hand that held hers, merely stared at the blurred images of those she loved and winced as something was pulled from her body, nearly choking as something seemed to rise in her throat akin to bile. Her mind was still blurry, still unfocused and the world around her seemed to spin. And yet she was still so very aware that something was missing, that feeling like something akin to herself had been taken from her remained. So with a strain Draega searched for the blur that was Kain and locked him with her ice-blue eyes. "Kain...?" she muttered weakly, almost as if she were still breaking, "Why....why can't I feel my wings?"

Nimm still sat, perched upon her chair she'd moved to before. Hearing Draega, she looked over and watched as the now human woman regained some form of consciousness. She opted to stay quite for now, letting the trio talk and explain amongst themselves.

~~~~~~~~~(after posts in the canyon)~~~~~~~~~~~
The sound of Singe shouting caught her attention rather quickly as she turned to look at the TV again. She heard what was being said, so she was aware of what the Russian had said, she didn't know however that it would send Singe over the edge the way it did.
"Looks like that crazy guy struck a nerve...a very sore nerve at that." She frowned, unhappy with how angry Singe was but mainly at the Russian for making him angry. "I wish you'd realize your more then a tool Singe." she rested her chin on her hand, again hoping he was able to hear her. "Not to mention the fact that the Russian is nothing more then an impostor."
"You can't feel your wings because you lack wings. You'll not be able to become intangible as you lack the ability...and you're no longer a draculina under my siring. You're just human. Nothing more. Nothing less. Granted you probably have a slight edge in the field of muscle fiber given what you've done without powers, but...you're just normal now." He'd chuckle a bit and retrieve a glass of cold water for her. He'd hold it close to her with a loose grip for her to take whenever she wished while running his hand through her hair. "But no worries. All of that can change should you wish, but this is your chance to be normal. Take it or not I'll love you all the same, but by no means are you left without options. Rest, Draega. You've been through a great deal...rest and weigh your options. We're in no sort of hurry."
He'd look over his shoulder to Nimm and the T.V., then chuckle and continue running his hand through his love's hair. "Reaper...Singe...Kharlan...no. Do you know his name? No. 666 in a string of experiments. My dear ole' daddy dearest or rather previous Sire decided that I was all sorts of neat...which c'mon. I'm ******** amazing. Anywho, ******** the Mighty decided to make more of me...and failed 665 times. Each time he'd fail he'd beat the crap out of me for being to hard to replicate...makes so much sense, doesn't it? Anywho, figuring the unholy number was the charm, he took genes from myself and injected No. 666 with my brother's genes where others were degrading, as well as the genes of others. He's supposed to be me if I were, well, better. But there's nothing better then me, so No. 666 was a failure. But hell, at least he could live outside the goo. So Captain Dipshit gave him the name 'Kharlan,' turned him into a general along with myself, Ishado and the chick and was told of his creation. Kinda nice since most stories like this have some s**t about the creator never telling his creation a damn thing, y'know? Moron's been going around his whole damn life trying to outdo me. Hell, we all saw the battle. He's good, sure...but he's a monster if there ever was one. To die and come back and then to just...cast Death away...that's not natural. To him, he's become his own, individual entity of Death. The Grim Reaper. In the end, he too is no more then a pawn to said entity's work. So what I'm getting at here: He's ******** crazy."
Draega felt herself go numb...despite the pain. Gone, everything she had had was gone. What Kain had given her, the powers she had found for herself. They were all of them gone. She was normal. And to her, that meant she was weak and as powerless as a newborn. The thought was not only shocking but devastating. With effort she managed to raise herself enough to sip from the glass Kain offered her though she hardly see it, drawn to it only by the smell. The second it hit the back of her throat Draega almost choked, tears falling freely as she realized that this element slipping down her throat had once been as much apart of her as the hair on her head. So she cried and weakly she curled up and slipped back into unconsciousness where she dreamed.
It was odd at first the landscape something she was unfamiliar with, very much like a fairy-tale garden drawn of pastels. There was a lake that reflected a pale moon like glass and a single swan was swimming out upon it. Long soft grass flowed gently in the wind and a single bench lay at the water's edge carved of elegant white marble, calling to her like a siren...like the reed's and willow leaves which swayed beside it. And Draega went to it, unsure as to why, her feet leaving no sound and as she stepped she was aware that a light skirt flowed about her feet as soft as the feathers of the swan that watched her with bright blue eyes.
As Draega walked along the lake she could see her reflection as if looking in a mirror. Her hair shined like snow, her eyes the color of a frozen sky...and the dress she wore looked to her as if it were made of snowflakes made to lace as soft as down. And then at last Draega was sitting upon the marble bench, watching the swan as it watched her, it's blue eyes darker than her own, like the color of the open ocean. And then as Draega watched the swan swam toward her, and as it did it slowly changed it's form from a bird into a beautiful woman her hair as red as flame, her skin pale like milk and dotted with freckles. Her face was heart-shaped and soft, almost like a china-doll, her long red-hair flowing in waves to her elbows. The woman wore a short dress, like a greek-goddess made of thin white linen and a pair of sandals which wove up to her knees, and were winged at the ankles like Hermes.
Upon her shoulders however the woman wore a light blue cloak embroidered in gold and reminded Draega very much of old fairytale stories about fairy godmothers. And as Draega went to look at her eyes she found herself staring into a blue mask the swan's ocean-blue eyes staring out at her as if knowing everything and nothing. And then the woman extended a hand both small and elegant, a gold gauntlet around her wrist winged like the gold sandals around her feet and the belt around her waist. And through a small and full mouth the woman spoke to her with a smile. "Dear child...what dream would you have me fulfill?" she asked, her voice ageless and sweet like the voice of a nightingale.
She wanted to ask the woman who she was but instead found herself answering the woman's query. "I want peace. For myself and this world." And that woman, still smiling that gentle smile came and took Draega's shaking hands and stared at her in a way Draega wished her mother had all her life." And why can you not fulfill this wish yourself?" she asked gently and Draega found herself looking away, as if ashamed. "Each time I think I have come to see my wish fulfilled it is shattered. I am beginning to think it is impossible. And there are so many people...so many obstacles standing in my way."
The woman gently turned Draega's chin so that she was staring at her once more. "I know that feeling dear child. But do not despair so easily. Not once can you afford to falter or cast aside your convictions. You are so very strong...you need only realize it. Do not let yourself believe that things are impossible or inevitable. Fate can be fought...can be changed. Powerful forces move around and against you...so what will you decide? Do you want to see your wish granted? Or will you end it here?" she asked her with that same guiding smile.
And at length, so long so that Draega was sure the sun had risen, Draega smiled as well and stared up at the woman who held her hands with determination. "I will fulfill my dream. I've come to far to see it fail." And at that the woman's smile brightened and she hugged her like a mother holds a daughter before releasing her and placing a small blue butterfly key in her grasp. "Then you will come..." the woman whispered happily kissing her forehead gently, "...you will find the guardian and you will find me. And then I shall give you that which will help you see your wish come true. Take this and open the door to Uriel's hidden flame. And take care sweet child...after all...Richard would never forgive me if I let his precious great-grandchild suffer."
And then the woman was gone and Draega was left alone with the key as she watched her swan fly away to join it's flock it's beauty and their own melding like a swirling mist from which Draega awoke. She turned her head into Kain's hand and smiled gently, however, as she reached out to him she heard and felt something fall from her grasp with the delicate tinkling of silver hitting earth. A blue butterfly key landing at Kain's feet which Draega stared at in both wonder and awe.
He'd smile as she sipped at the water though the smile would quickly fade as her tears formed. Then came the moment she seemed to pass out once more which was like both a dagger to the heart and a bat to the back of the head. "AH CRAP! The hell was I supposed to make you drink when recovering from a surgery!? Mountain Dew and Pop Rocks!?" He'd throw the water out the window and go so far as to launch an unseen blast of energy at it, creating a crater outside and creating a hole where there was once a window.
Once he'd find her attention back on him after a little while he'd arch a brow. He'd run his hand through her hair to make sure she was alive, though he figured that one out when her face turned to bewilderment at the sight of this key. He'd pick it up and look it over before huffing. "A butterfly, eh? How...incredibly feminine. When the hell'd you get this thing; what's it go to? I would of sworn you didn't have a thing on you when I was in you." Failing to see how his comment could be taken wrong he'd merely look to Draega quizzically.
Draega giggled a bit at Kain, letting herself fall back onto whatever it was she was laying on and smiling absently as she reached out to gentle touch his arm, just to know he was there...he was real. "I had a dream...it wasn't like anything I've ever seen before Kain. The scenery was like a painting from a fairy-tale book...and there was this beautiful swan who changed into a woman...She said she'd help me fulfill my dream and gave me that key. She told me ' You will find the guardian and you will find me. Take this and open the door to Uriel's hidden flame." And then Draega's smile fell and she took on a contemplative look, her eyes trailing this way and that as if unsure to keep looking at this blob of color or that. "She mentioned having known my great-grandfather ...and she was so beautiful...and so strange. She wore a mask and kept calling me 'child'. Kain...how can that key be real? She gave it to me in a dream...dreams can't become real."
{gah! So short! I feel ashamed! ><}
