Lye was scanning the crowd when he saw her. He could tell by the way she walked she was rich. She had that air about her. Lye smiled and slid off the hood.
"This one's mine, gentlemen. Time to corrupt an innocent."
Lye enjoyed doing what he called corrupting the innocent. He would find the nicest girl he could, and by the time he left she was as bad as he was. Lye walked up towards the girl, putting out his half-finished cigarette in his palm as he walked. It caused several people to gape in horror, but Lye was used to doing that. In fact, he had a permanent scar on his palm where he kept doing that. Lye stowed away his cigarette and stepped next to the girl.
"Hey, uh, I'm new in town, can you, uh, show me around?"

Elizabeth looked up at the guy who had started talking to her and marked her page in her book. She stuck the book back into her bag and stood up, brushing off her skirt that so perfectly showed off her toned and evenly tanned legs.

"I'd love to show you around...my mother would kill me if I even dared to refuse, not that I would of course." Elizabeth smiled coyly. "My name is Elizabeth." She shouldered her bag and grabbed her books.

"So, you're new huh?" Elizabeth tried to strike up some conversation. SHe looked over at his car. "My dad has one just like it...." Elizabeth stood on the curbside waiting for her chaufeur.

"You can come around town with me if you'd like, I really have to go and see a tailor about a dress for tonight...I have a cotillion to go to for a friend of mine and she'll kill me if my dress doesn't fit JUST right. Rich people...I swear." Elizabeth shook her head and her wavy hair followed her. "I can call for a tow truck to haul it over to my house and you can pick it up later...that is, if you don't mind being driven around town with a snotty little rich girl like me." Elizabeth smiled again, her pearly whites showing.

This was one of those moments Lysander was extremely happy he kept his eyes hidden behind a pair of dark-tinted sunglasses, as he was eying Elizabeth's legs intensely. When she mentioned her name, Lye spoke.
"My name's Lysander. My mom had a thing about Shakespeare. Just call me Lye."
Lye followed Elizabeth, nodding. He was definitely right about her being rich. A cotillion, really? Whenever Elizabeth wasn't looking or couldn't notice, Lye would move his sunglasses down to the tip of his nose and peer over them at her backside. When she made her proposition, he smiled. He made a humorous bow, over-exaggerating every motion.
"It'd be my honor, Elizabeth. I'm sure my brothers could get along without a ride."
Lye stood up, grin spread wide, looking somewhat wolfish. He looked over at his brothers, making a small gesture to notify the ride would be indisposed of for a while.

Elizabeth smiled at Lyesander....or Lye as he preferred and nodded. She pulled her cell phone back out and dialed the number for her chaufeur. He was running late because the limo broke down. He had been appologizing about a dozen times before she got him to shut up, she hated it when her chaufeur felt he had to appologize for everything.

"It's okay, really, it's fine....no, I'm alright. Don't worry, just get here when you get here. Just be safe....BYE!" Elizabeth shouted into her phone before hanging up. She brused a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"I swear....he'll never stop appologizing unless someone shouts at him...it's terrible if I do say so myself." Elizabeth pocketed her phone and readjusted the bag that was hanging on her delicate looking shoulders.

"Lysander....I like the name. Shakespeare is a passion of mine I must say." She smiled coyly again and laughed a light airy laugh when he bowed.

"Thank you Lye."

Lye cocked an eyebrow when she was on the phone. Apologizing profusely?
"Wait... so... that was your dad? Step-dad?"
Lye was confused, as he never thought a dad could apologize so much. As a matter of fact, Lye tended to despise father figures, and he was now starting to question whether or not he should go. The idea of a chauffeur was far from mind as he hadn't really been around people that rich. Well, maybe some mobsters, but that was when he was getting into trouble before he met his brothers. Anymore, he didn't think people had chauffeurs.

Elizabeth smiled to be polite, it was rude to laugh at people....or so her mother had always told her and would chastise her when she would laugh. Elizabeth raised up one porcelain skinned hand to cover her mouth in an attempt to stop a laugh from coming forth but to no avail, she giggled lightly once more.

"No, not my father...my chauffeur, I like to think of him as a friend of mine but he won't see it that way. He ALWAYS calls me Madame and he ALWAYS insists on being a little too polite to me...frankly it's creepy. He apologizes so much for things he thinks he has done wrong but I can never make him see reason. I don't like it when apologizes to me....my mother thinks I'm too soft on people." Elizabeth frowned and secretly in her mind she loved it. Her mother would get angry with her when she frowned, stating that if she did so then her forehead would prematurely wrinkle and that apparently was a 'sin' in her mother's mind.

This man before her was quite handsome she had to admitt. Her mother would disapprove though so it was best not to tell her about him. Her father was more open to her thoughts but would probably side with her mother, he was never much of a fighter. Elizabeth was close to no one in particular, in her society, it was social murder if you did get close to someone, especially other girls. They were known to stab you in the back. Elizabeth snuck a quick glance at Lye again. Yes, he was definetly handsome.

"You never did answer my question Lye....where are you from?" Elizabeth blushed a light shade of pink that stood out on her pale skin.

Lye thought quickly, wondering how to play it. Unfortunate youth? Vagabond? Rebel? All three? Lye quickly decided and smiled. Might as well get a tad poetic.
"I'm from everywhere and nowhere. My home is between the heavens and the earth. I live where I please."
Lye felt that sufficient so he looked off into the distance, feeling he did a good job. After all, she was blushing. What it looked like he was doing was reminiscing the good times of his travels, and being quite absent-minded.

Elizabeth clapped and smiled at Lye's description.

"Very...soulful. I like it. Are you a poet, I just adore poetry." Elizabeth always had this glazed expression in her eyes when she spoke of poetry, it just went hand in hand with the violin.

"How lucky would I be if you actually DID turn out to be a poet?" Elizabeth played with the thought and smiled again in Lye's direction. She was about to say something when a black limo appeared out of nowhere and stopped in front of them. Elizabeth jumped slightly and laughed at her reaction when her chauffeur stepped out of the vehicle.

"I do hope that you're alright....I'd hate if anything had happened to you."
Elizabeth spoke while her chauffeur ushered her into the car. "OH! This is...someone I've just met...he is to come along with us if you don't mind...." She crossed her ankles neatly and smoothed out her skirt while looking hopefully at Lye.

Lye decided to add a humble response. Makes everything better.
"No, I'm no poet. I'm not even really that good with words."
That, in fact, was an outright lie. Lye was fantastic when it came to words, knowing what to say when and how. He could plan just about anything, and could change his plans to fit the situation. Lye stepped into the limo, ignoring the inspecting look from the chauffeur. As he entered, Lye saw a great view in between Elizabeth's legs, all the while keeping it hidden from behind his sunglasses. Lye sat across from Elizabeth, looking around.
"Wow... you must be loaded..."

Elizabeth giggled again when she saw the looks her chauffeur was giving Lye. It was said that her chauffeur was very protective of her being that he had known her since she had been born. Everyday he would find it necessary to compliment her. On one occasion, Elizabeth deliberately dressed horribly and made her hair look like a rat's nest and he still complimented her. That showed her how much she would actually value his opinion in the future. While sitting in the limo, Elizabeth started to feel self-conscious and sat up straighter while pulling her skirt down so that the hem rested somewhere above her knees.

"Yes....I suppose you could say that. My father is a multimillionaire from when he was younger, just a teenager really. My grandfather was also a rich man, he struck oil on his property some while back and we've lived a luxurious life ever since then..." Elizabeth looked outside the window as some little buildings passed them by.

"I would very much like to venture out on my own though....my mother and father are terrified by the thought of me leaving the house...they can't expect me to stay there forever." She was a bit rebellious...well...as rebellious as someone could be when they'd been trained to be a classy lady since the age of three.

"If I may be so bold as to ask what do you aspire to become?" Elizabeth couldn't hide her curiosity.

Lye shrugged at the question.
"Y'know, I'm not quite sure. I'm rather happy with what I'm doing now, traveling from place to place, doing odd jobs to make it by. It's actually pretty nice. The freedom, the lack of responsibility. It's... liberating."
What Lye didn't mention that made it so enjoyable was the loose sex, the drugs, and the thrill of getting away in police chases. That made it so much better.

Elizabeth had been staring outside the window when he had told her what he did. She snapped her head back to him and gaped open-mouthed in shock. Her mother would kill her if she did that herself.

"You must be kidding me....you are allowed to do that?" Elizabeth hadn't known anyone in her society that had even THOUGHT about traveling and not being filthy rich rather than actually try it. She wanted to see what it was like. Now she was interested.

"You must tell me more! Is it really...freedom? I've only dreampt about something like that, I can never really get there though....I'd do anything to be free from all of this." Elizabeth muttered under her breath. Suddenly her chauffeur turned sharply and her entire body was flung to the other side of her seat, she crashed into the wall and cursed in a language that would have been most unlady-like if her mother had been there.

"Was that really necessary?"

At the sharp turn, Lye's arm shot out and he braced himself for impact. He swore and turned to the chauffeur.
"Oi! I don't your boss would appreciate it if you broke Elizabeth's neck, you jerk."
Lye turned around, eyebrows furrowed, and his eyes fell upon Elizabeth. Well, what was revealed. If he had gotten a good view before, he had a heavenly view now. Instead of gawking, Lye went against his hormones and went to her side to sit her up.
"Are you alright?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 12, 2009 7:17 pm

Elizabeth mumbled something incoherent and began smoothing out her skirt once more.

"Oh, I'm alright...I really wasn't ready for that though but thank you ever so much for asking." She smiled and noticed that he was sitting beside her. She felt a flush creeping up her cheeks and quickly turned away.

Must he be so handsome? Elizabeth asked in her thoughts.

"I hope that my driver hasn't done you any harm? It would be a shame if he had....and I do hope he appologizes for this...." Elizabeth spoke the last bit louder than the rest of her sentence to tip off her driver who looked into his back mirror and only nodded. They were only a few blocks away from their destination then.

Lye shook his head and waved his hand.
"No, no, I'm fine. You don't need to do anything like that. I'm used to worse."
Lye stretched, popping several joints. He looked out the window and saw they were in quite the neighborhood. Several story buildings with backyards the size of football fields.
"Daaamn... this is a ritzy neighborhood. You live around here?"
