Shura looked at Ben and frowned a bit. "Is this your first time in Skypiea?" Ben was a bit surprised by the sudden question. "Um, yeah. It is. I just got here a while ago." Ben laughed a bit nervously. "I see." Shura nodded, then continued to ask questions. "Why did you choose to come to Skypiea? And did you come alone?" Shura crossed his arms and waited for a reply. Ben shook his head. "I didn't come alone. I came to Skypiea with my crew. You see, I'm the Captain of the Forte Pirates." He smiled with some pride. "And we came to Skypiea for the adventure and experience." Shura looked a bit surprised. "So you had no real purpose here?" Ben shook his head and smiled. "Nope. We just came for fun." Shura then shook his head. "Tell me, how does one from the Blue Sea get to Skypiea?" Ben thought about it, then remembered exactly how.

"The Knock-Up Stream." Shura looked a bit interested in those words. "Knock-Up Stream? Please explain." Ben was confused. He didn't really know what to say. "It's basically a huge stream of water leading into the clouds. And that's how we got here." Shura nodded. "Ah, yes." Then, there was a bit of silence. Shura broke the silence. "How many are there in your Crew?" It didn't take Ben long to answer that question. "Five." Shura nodded, then grinned. "That is a rather small crew." Ben laughed. "Well, it's not complete yet. I'm thinking of recruiting at least 5 more people." Shura frowned. "You won't get far with a Crew of that size." Then, Ben frowned as well. "Well, I don't see why not." Shura shook his head. "You could be outnumbered and overpowered quickly. It's a shame." Ben made a fist. "No! My Nakama are strong."

Shura grinned. "I see you have much pride in them." Ben simply smiled and chuckled. "Hmph. Well, I must get going..." Ben was surprised by the sudden change of mind. "No! Wait!" Shura frowned. "Please, do not keep me longer than I wish." Ben frowned and slowly walked towards Shura. Then, Shura looked towards Ben and glared. "Look, boy. I'm busy." He brought out, what looked to be, a Dial. "Ordeal of String!" Suddenly, Ben' stopped moving. "Hey, what's going on?!" Shura grinned. "This is my Ordeal of String technique. It traps an opponent in invisible, unbreakable string, making them vulnerable to other attacks. For a while, at least." Ben' eyes glistened with excitement. "Oh! Oh! Teach me that! Teach me that!" By the time he said that, Ben was freed from the string trap. "Hm? You don't even have a String-" But before Shura could finish, Ben brought out his String Dial.

"I just bought this." He smiled and snickered happily. Shura frowned. "I'm busy. Maybe some other-" Ben frowned as well, then ran up to Shura. "Aw, come on! Teach me the Ordeal of String! Come on! Teach me!" Obviously, Shura was getting annoyed. You could tell by the look on his face. But Ben was oblivious to it. He just kept asking and bugging Shura about it. Until finally, he caved. "Alright! I'll teach you! Just shut up!" Shura covered his ears in an annoyed manner. Ben smiled happily. "Yosh!" He threw his hands into the air. "Hmph. Annoying little brat." Ben ignored that comment and continued to laugh. "So, how do I do it?" Shura brought about another annoyed look. "Basically, you just activate the Dial and capture your opponent in the string it emits." Ben smiled. "That's cool!" Shura did not reply.

Ordeal of String

There was bit of a moment of silence between Shura and Ben. But Ben was the first to speak, thus breaking the silence. "Does it always work?" Shura grinned. "I forgot to mention that. No, it does not always work. Sometimes, the string does not bind the opponent quick enough." Ben smiled, then nodded. "That's okay." Shura grinned, then brought out his String Dial once more. He gestured to Ben, telling him to watch, as he would be demonstrating once again. Ben nodded. Shura took a breath, then activated the String Dial, which quickly wrapped around Ben. He had no idea that he was target, so he was not able to react. Ben was binded within the string. "Hey, what's the big idea?!" Shura chuckled a bit. Soon enough, the string released its grip.

Ordeal of String

Ben dusted himself. "Hey, that wasn't nice." Shura grinned. "Of course." Ben simply frowned, though he was still a bit confused. "Okay, my turn!" Ben readied his String Dial and activated it. Though it was not quick enough, as Shura was able to get away. "Huh? What happened? Oi, Shura. I think my String Dial is broken. Give me yours." Shura brought about a sort of annoyed and angry look. "I'm not giving you my String Dial!" He calmed himself. "Remember? I told you that it does not always work. The string wasn't fast enough this time." Shura grinned, though Ben frowned. "I still think it's broken." Shura got another annoyed face. "It's not broken!" Ben nodded. "Well, okay. I'll try again." Ben took some sort of a breath. Then, he looked at Shura, who was ready for the incoming attack. When Ben was ready, he activated the String Dial.

Ordeal of String

Almost as quickly as Ben could blink, the string was shot out. Shura didn't even see the attack coming and didn't react, thus causing him to get tangled within the web of string. Shura grinned a bit. "Very good." Ben smiled and started to put away the String Dial. Shura caught him before doing so. "No, leave your String Dial out. You'll need it for the next technique." As he said this, he was set free from the string trap. Ben was a bit confused, but followed what Shura said and kept his String Dial out. Shura slowly walked over to Ben and brought out his own String Dial, and surprisingly, his Heat Dial too. "Bring out your Heat Dial, as well." Ben nodded and obliged.

Ben brought out both his Heat Dial and String Dial. He showed them to Shura, who nodded. "Good. This technique will require both." Ben smiled. The technique already sounded cool. It was going to involve two Dials, which was cool enough for Ben. Shura began his explanation. "Basically, you successfully perform the Ordeal of String. Then, you use Heat Dial Installment and attach your Heat Dial to the end of one of the strings. The flame would follow the string, and eventually burn your opponent." Ben' eyes glistened with excitement. "Wow! That's cool!" He laughed happily. "Hm. It is. It is quite a powerful technique, if used correctly." Ben smiled to Shura. When he thought about how they had met, he laughed. Ben could tell that back then, Shura didn't like to be in Ben' company. He seemed to change once he got to know Ben.

Shura saw Ben laugh. "What's so funny, boy?" Ben hated that comment, so he remained silent for a bit. When Shura was about to ask what was wrong, Ben answered his question. "Oh, it was nothing." He laughed nervously. Shura nodded and readied his Heat and String Dial. "I will demonstrate." Ben nodded and smiled. He liked it when people demonstrated techniques for him. It just made him feel a little more comfortable. Shura faced a bush, which was just a little taller than him, and then took a breath. Once he was ready, he activated the String Dial, which successfully binded the bushes. Ben would see the string compressed the bush. There were little creases in it. Then, Shura activated the Heat Dial and lit one end of a string. Slowly, the flame followed the string.

Heat Dial Blast

Soon enough, the flame reached the bush. Upon contact, the bush started to burn and crackle with flame. Ben watched in amazement as the bush burned into ashes. Shura was seen grinning. He walked over to Ben and put away his Dials. "See that? Imagine the bush was an opponent." Ben smiled, and Shura replied with a grin. "Now you try." Ben didn't take any time to think about it, and nodded immediately. There was some odd air around Ben. It was awkward, since he would be using two Dials this time. But he knew it wouldn't be much of a challenge. Ben walked around and tried to find another target. Shura watched intently. He didn't know what Ben was doing, and intended to find out by watching him. Soon, Ben found another bush, a bit smaller than Shura's target. Then, Shura knew what he was doing.

Heat Dial Blast

"I'm going to practice on that bush!" Ben turned to Shura and waved trying to catch his attention. Shura simply nodded and grinned. He crossed his arms and waited for something to happen. Ben turned back to the bush and readied his Dials. As quickly as he took a breath, Ben activated his String Dial, launching invisible string at the bush. He smiled as he saw the bush being bound by string. When the string finished its job, Ben activated his Heat Dial, and lit one end of a string. The flame slowly followed the thread, like how Shura's did, and made its way to the bush. When the flame made contact with the bush, it burst into flame. Ben smiled, the reflection of flame in his eyes. He had successfully performed the technique. Ben watched as the bush burned.

Heat Dial Blast

When the bush had burned down completely, Ben turned to Shura, who was simply watching with crossed arms. Ben began to walk towards Shura slowly, waving as he did so. "Oi, what was the technique called?!" Shura grinned and walked over to his bird. Getting on, he looked to Ben. "Heat Dial Blast." The bird began to flap its wings. "I have nothing more to teach you. Farewell." Shura grinned. Ben waved and smiled. "Arigato!" Shura looked down once more before flying away on his bird. "He was a good guy." Ben smiled to himself and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Where should I go next?" He looked around and remembered that he had not really explored Upper Yard yet. So Ben decided to do that. He began to walk around aimlessly.

Gedastu landed as soon as he was close enough, and walked the rest of the way towards Ben. Meanwhile, Ben was still a bit shaky. "Where am I?" He kept moving around, and he wasn't too stable, though he got the hang of it soon enough. He looked ahead and tried to get his bearings, seeing Gedatsu. "Hey, it's you!" Ben pointed to him, though it didn't really serve any purpose. Ben chuckled and then smiled. "My name is Ben Dreyan" He gestured to Gedatsu, introducing himself. Gedatsu frowned a bit as he looked at Ben. "Anyway, nice to meet you, Ben." He grinned a bit. "Now, please leave Upper Yard." He pointed in some direction. Ben frowned. "I'm not leaving just yet."

Jet Strike

"I don't know. I just don't feel like leaving Upper Yard yet. I still want to explore it some more." Ben chuckled a bit, noticing the tension between Gedatsu and himself. He chuckled nervously, then placed his hands behind his head. He simply listened to Gedatsu. Something about a god of the skies. Enel. "Wasn't that the guy that Guerilla was searching for? Ben pondered about that for a moment, still listening to everything that they were saying. Ben didn't really know exactly how long they would be staying in Skypiea. Though he knew it wouldn't be too long from now. They would probably leave soon enough. Ben smiled, for no apparent reason. "Time for me to end this with my jet strike using a Jet dial."

Jet Strike
2/6

"Jet Strike? Jet Dial?" Ben was a bit confused. Then, he remembered that he had bought a Jet Dial. Ben brought it out and looked at it. It already sounded powerful. Ben grinned and looked at Gedatsu. "Heh. Are you going to hit me with that?" He smiled a bit mockingly. Ben didn't really think that he had to take Gedatsu to seriously. He seemed like an okay kind of guy. Ben crossed his arms and waited for Gedatsu to do something. There wasn't much around to look at. Rubble and a few trees. Ben sighed. There wasn't much of a sight in Upper Yard. That's what he started to think. But he knew that the rest of Skypiea was beautiful. "Jet Strike!" Getatsu threw a fast punch at Ben.

Jet Strike
3/6

Ben was a bit too slow to react, as he was sent darting backwards. He crashed into a pile of rubble. Slowly, he got up. Ben frowned at Gedatsu. "Well, that wasn't very nice." He began to dust off his clothes. The attack did not hurt him as much as it could have though the sheer force was enough to send him flying backwards. And now, here he was. A few feet away from Gedatsu. As soon as he had gotten all of the dust off of his clothes, Ben grinned and began to make his way back to him. He shrugged off what Gedatsu had just done, and decided to ignore it this time. Ben a bit of a patient person, and he didn't mind waiting for Gedatsu to lighten up.

Jet Strike
4/6

This time, as well, Ben was not ready for an attack. He thought that Gedatsu would lighten up by now, but he guessed that he was wrong. As soon as Gedatsu's fist made contact with Ben, it sent his body flying backwards, back into that same pile of rubble. A few seconds passed, and Ben got up. He shook his head and began to dust himself off again. "Oi! Stop hitting me!" He stuck his tongue out at Gedatsu and began to walk towards them. This time though, Ben would be ready for anything, just in case. His repel cushioned the attack, which had little effect on him. Ben grinned as he walked, and soon made it to Gedatsu.

Jet Strike
5/6

Ben grinned and dashed towards Gedatsu. He slipped on his own Jet Dial and lowered his body closer to the ground, chuckling. "Im a pirate!" With that said, Ben performed the Jet Strike technique and punched Gedatsu in the chin, which would propel him upwards. Ben straighted himself out. "That's what you get for hitting me twice." He chuckled a bit, and watched Gedatsu hit the floor. Gedatsu managed to get up, though he simply looked at Ben. Ben looked back and smiled.

Ben crossed his arms as soon as he saw Gedastu take out that Dial. "Hahaha! Lets see if you can survive my Ordeal of Swamp!" He frowned a bit, then took a few steps backward. Ben turned to the side slightly. "Ordeal of Swamp?" . "It's very dangerous. Be careful." Ben nodded, then looked to Gedatsu. He had a nasty frown on his face, which Ben did not enjoy seeing. Ben was on guard for anything. Gedatsu took a few steps forward, then stopped, a few feet away from Ben. This confused Ben a bit. If Gedatsu wanted to attack, it would make sense to close in the gap a little more, to lessen the chance of missing. But Ben simply shrugged and waited for something, anything to happen.

Ordeal of Swamp
1/7

He saw Gedatsu take a breath, then extend his arm outwards. He was holding his Swamp Dial in his hand. Then, Ben raised an eyebrow. He remembered that he had bought a Swamp Dial as well. He brought it out and looked at it, taking his attention off of Gedatsu for a moment. But in that moment, he heard his uncle's voice. "Ben! Watch out!" Ben looked from his Swamp Dial to Gedatsu. He saw that Gedatsu had activated his Swamp Dial, which created a dense swamp cloud. It was headed straight for Ben. Ben' eyes widened a bit, as he jumped away to safety. Ben took a breath, then looked over to that swamp cloud.

Ordeal of Swamp
2/7

It was fairly large, and looked like it could consume Ben, from his head to about his chest. Ben then looked to Gedatsu, who had already created another swamp cloud. Ben was ready for it this time. He saw it coming towards him, then jumped over it, running towards his attacker. Gedatsu frowned, then jumped backwards, sending another swamp cloud towards Ben. Ben's eyes widened as he ducked down, barely dodging the incoming cloud. He was closing the gap between him and Gedatsu fairly quickly. When he got a bit closer, Ben drew his arm back and threw a punch, hitting Gedatsu right in the face. Gedatsu fell to the ground.

Ordeal of Swamp
3/7

Smiling a bit, Ben walked over to the fallen Gedatsu. His eyes were closed, yet he still held his Swamp Dial. Ben frowned a bit, simply looking at Gedatsu. He thought that the battle was over. To his surprise, Gedatsu's eyes opened, and he lined his hand up with Ben' face. Almost as quickly, he activated his Swamp Dial, which created a dense swamp cloud around Ben's head. Inside the cloud, Ben could not breathe. He struggled a bit, then heard his uncles voice. "Baka! The more you move, the more you get stuck!"

Ordeal of Swamp
4/7

Gedatsu grinned and turned. "Now the battle is over." He rubbed the cheek that Ben had punched. He spit some blood on the ground. Meanwhile, Ben repeled his way out of the swamp cloud. "That was close." Ben then looked around, trying to find Gedatsu. "Where the hell are you?!" Ben was pretty mad right now. He looked to his left, and spotted his attacker. Ben yelled, then ran over towards him, his own Swamp Dial ready. Ben stealth walked over to him, and stopped right behind Gedatsu's head. Though he had not noticed yet, Ben had activated the Swamp Dial, releasing a swamp cloud. From the corner of his eye, Gedatsu saw the cloud and frowned. "How careless!"

Ordeal of Swamp
5/7

Now, Gedatsu's head was trapped within a swamp cloud. Ben' arm snapped back into place. Then, he simply pointed at Gedatsu and started to laugh. He was struggling to get out. He must not of heard Jason's warning, which was a bit strange, as one would think that Gedatsu would know that struggling only makes it worse. A few minutes passed, and Gedatsu was not moving as much. Ben frowned a bit. He felt a bit bad for doing that. Ben walked over to Gedatsu's body, which was now motionless. Ben then slowly dragged Gedatsu's body out of the swamp cloud.

Ordeal of Swamp
6/7

There Gedatsu's body lay, unconscious. Ben grinned a bit, then began to walk. He was just going to leave his body there. There wasn't much purpose in bringing Gedatsu along. If he woke up, there would be a chance of him attacking again. And that was the last thing that he needed. Ben placed his hands behind his head but then shoved his into his pockets. Ben smiled and walked around aimlessly. Ben looked around a bit, then turned to look around a little. "Which way did Gedatsu say the exit was?"

Dammit he was lost, he had ended up on this big forest instead and it was a crazy place indeed. What in the world could make threes this big and not to mention the fact that all animals was big. They where hug and they where far more deadlier. He would be lucky to get out of this alive. What would he do now? He needed to get back to the boat as soon as possible. Maybe there would be someone around this place that could help Rake get out of the mess that he had found himself into.

Reject 1-4

As Rake was walking down what seems to be a run down road it led him to a man. A man with very funny shoes and a spear, not to mention he was coming straight towards Rake. He was also screaming a bit and then it came the attack. "Oi, what's the big idea?" Rake shouted after the man but he got no response so he grabbed for his sword. Now he would wait for that moment where the man would attack. With the broad side he would slam him out of the air or what ever it was that caused his gliding.

Reject 2-4

The man wearing the mask seemed to be trying to attack him, well it was obvious what the man was trying to do really. Nothing but try to kill Rake but for what reason he didn't really know. Yet then Rake got an hit with he flat side of his sword and sent the man away. The mask flew away and a man, who's name was Wiper, was revealed. "Hay, its rude attacking people when they are just seeking for a way out!" The man laughed a bit and told him that he was sent to test him. Also he noticed that Rake had an reject dial and would be pleased to show him how it was to be used.

Reject 3-4

Rake thanked the man and asked him for his name and why he was out here. The man told him that his name was Wiper and he was fighting with the priest that had taken this land from his tribe. Rake sighed a bit over the spoils of countries and tribes. They where always killing each other for trivial matters. Yet nothing like that mattered to Rake. With the aid of Wiper he was able to learn about the dials and how to properly use one. Yet while using one Rake felt the power of the reject and knew that it would be a last effort attack only

Reject 4-4 Done.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 16, 2009 7:32 pm

Rake and Wiper followed the same path for a while and Rake got to learn about the history of Skypiea! How they fought about the city known as Shandra and that was the goal for Wipers tribe. It seemed as if the angels around here had taken it from them. Such was the path of a god. Not in Rake's book but from the acts of a selfish person only. After a while Rake and Wiper had to depart so Rake thanked the man once again for teaching him with the reject dial. Then Rake was walking alone once more.

Jet Strike 1-6

There was nothing going on but ruins, trees and moss. Yet he was on his way back to the island at least but was told to watch out for the ordeals and priest for they could be truly deadly if they wished. Rake held that in mind and tried to move as straight and safely as possible. Not to aggravate anyone or anything, for come to think of it. Wiper had never told Rake what the priests was. From what Rake knew of this place ti could be anyone or anyone. What in the world was this place really which contained so much hidden information.

Jet Strike 2-6

Where should he go now? The road was split in two so Rake took one of his few Beli and flipped it. It hung nicely in the air before it landed on the palm of Rake. From the he moved the coin with his hand until it was between the upper side of his other hand. He raised his first hand and nodded. to the left then was where fate had decided that he would go. What would this road unseal would time tell and Rake would know by then. Now was just the time to get back to the boat.

Jet Strike 3-6

It seemed as if the road led no at first for Rake walked and walked for hours. Well it felt like hours to walk through the forest when not even the animals was coming at him. Yet he hoped for something more to happen before he was out of it. Yet the silence was to good to be ignored. It was so calm and truth be told, even more calm then in that alley. Maybe nothing would disturb him here so Rake slowed his speed a bit and begun to look around. Yet a clearing was coming up in front of him.

Jet Strike 4-6

Soon Rake was standing on those funny cloud and looked around where there seemed to have been a lot of buildings once. Yet now it was only ruins left of what might have been a great civilisation. Most likely what was left of Shandra. Was Wiper and his people fighting for the fallen stones of the old houses? Maybe there was more to this Shandra then he was firstly told. Yet it all stopped there for now Rake was disturbed by someone calling himself a priest. With funny looking hair and a strange act this man attacked.

Jet Strike 5-6

Thanks to Wiper who had installed the jet dials in his arms he was able to block the moves and it seemed as if the priest was able to match him for he had them in his feet. Yet that wouldn't do against a man like Rake. The swordsman of the Forte pirates. He would show this man not to fool with him. "b*****d Style: Ultimate b*****d Destruction!" With an attacked that cut through a stone, Rake destroyed both dials and as the dials exploded all force unleashed and sent the priest flying. Rake then left the forest to get back to the ship.

Noah appeared in the area, this place was different than the others he had traveled to. Aside from the fact that it was in the sky, the pirates around here were strong, much stronger than he had ever seen before. He looked around, this place was truly majestic. It was as if he was in heaven, he began to explore more and felt that someone was following him, he quickly turned around only to find that a small child was running off with his cutlass, "HEY, that's mine!" shouted Noah as he began to scurry after him. The kid was fast but Noah loved that sword, it had helped him so much was no way in hell that he would let that kid take it.

Finally Noah caught up to the boy and reached for his sword but the boy dodged him. This exchanging of grabbing and dodging continued once more before Noah lightly kicked the boy. The kid stood up seconds later with tears in his eyes. Noah looked at him disgusted, "You shouldn't steal things, that's how you get killed." The boy remained silent for a second before answering in a low voice, "I'm sorry it is just that I had never seen a sword like that before, I wanted to try it out."

Noah smiled, it had only taken a second for him to go from mad to flattered, "Well you know it is one of a kind." he said with a smile. The kid cheered up a little bit realizing that Noah wasn't as mad as he led on. "Hey kid, how the hell did you know when I was going to reach for my sword?" he asked. The kid smiled. "My sixth sense, it helps me dodge my opponents attacks." said the boy. Noah began to laugh at such a thought, a technique like that would be an amazing asset, "Oh and this sixth sense, can you teach it to me." The kid nodded, yes.

"You must first train your mind." said the boy. Noah smiled, "Don't worry about that I'm very intelligent as it is." The boy began to laugh, "this sir, has nothing to do with intelligence but instead intuition." Noah looked interested "So how is it done?" he asked. "You must almost lock into your opponents mind reading their movements and then using that information to dodge their attacks." Noah tried it on the boy and easily dodged on of his punches. The technique actually worked, Skypiea was already more than he had expected.

"You got anything else for me kid?" asked Noah. At that moment the kid ran away and the land grew dark. Noah looked around something was happening but he had to find that kid. Noah ran after him but the kid's energy was restored from that last run and he was very quick. Noah lost the kid in the middle of the city and on top of that, he was now lost. Noah remained calm, in fact he enjoyed being lost it made him feel that if at this moment in time he killed someone no one would ever be able to find the body. Never the less he continued to wander searching for that boy.

Skypiea itself was strange, Noah had never seen anything as heaven like and yet he felt it was odd that many pirates came here. Pirates, being evil entities in the eyes of the world. It seemed as though it symbolized God understanding the nature and the goals of pirates and ultimately allowing them into his kingdom. The only problem with this was, Noah didn't want to enter the 'kingdom', he despised the idea of a life after death and that mentality was the one of the driving forces behind his choice to become a pirate. He liked to think that after life one could just rest.

At that moment Noah noticed the boy. He was in a deserted area alone. Noah looked at him for a long moment both of them were silent until, "Why'd you run off in such a hurry?" Noah asked. The boy had no reply, "LISTEN. I just want to know if you have anything else to teach me." said Noah. The boy nodded, "I can do one more thing but it is real tough." Noah was eager and gestured for the boy to carry on with the teaching. "Okay listen up mister."

The boy explained to Noah all about a technique called "Mental Block." This technique was amazing, it allowed the user to impose temporary short term memory loss on the opponent. Such an attack would be godly in the heat of battle and Noah knew it. This place, Skypiea held so many secrets in this one child alone, Noah could hardly imagine what the adults could do. Before thanking the boy Noah had to make sure he could do the technique. He began to try it on the kid. He failed the first few times.

On his eight try Noah was able to do the technique, he erased all the techniques from the kid's mind. Even though he wasn't the boy's 'friend' he felt that he had to stay awhile with the kid. The boy seemed to be alone all the time, reminding Noah of himself except for the fact that the kid didn't read lots of books. The similarities between the boy and his childhood were striking but none the less he would have to go. The kid had helped him improve his mental capabilities and for that he respected him. "Hey little boy.." said Noah. "I'm a girl!" she shouted.
