Blank stood for a moment, looking down at Adriana curled at the back of the cave and listened to her with a kind ear as she spoke in reply. He cocked his head slightly when she asked where he was from and smiled down at her, ‘Well, I can’t really answer that one Hun, I’m afraid.’ At that point he strutted towards her with purpose and slipped in behind her, in the limited space between her and the back of the cave.
Lowering himself he curled himself about her, pressing his warm belly to her back, taking a sharp intake of breath as the icy cold which blanketed the outer layer of her fur touched upon his warm underside. He wrapped his hind quarter about her rump, grinning slightly to himself taking pleasure from the close contact though also doing it out of a selfless desire to look after and keep his newly formed companion warm. He stretched out, being much larger that she anyway, which didn’t make it hard for him to curl his neck about hers and rest his head close to her ear.
He whispered; the sound like distant thunder, a soft rumbling in the base of his throat, ‘Better?’ He continued with what he was saying previously ‘I was taken as a young teen from my pack by a group of men and used as a husky dog, you know the ones? They use them to pull their sledges. Anyway I’ve been about so much I’ve lost all knowledge of where I came from before, kind of a rogue I guess.’

Can't answer? How could you not know where you were from? The questions died on her tongue as the large male lay down behind her and curled close. Very, very close. She had always enjoyed male companionship, but she couldn't remember meeting a wolf who had been so comfortable with his own body before, and comfortable with her own.
While her blood rose at the gesture, she realized that was all there was to it, comfort, and she relaxed against him, listening to his story and feeling his voice vibrate in her bones. "That is… very sad," she murmured. Very sad, indeed, for where would his spirit know to flee when he died? Would it congregate with wolves or dogs? It did, however, explain his size; dragging loads for a living would tend to build muscle mass. "Do you always stay in these woods?" she asked, and then continued in the interest of full disclosure. "I am from the south, originally, where it's… much warmer; but I left my pack there perhaps a year ago."

Blank took pleasure in being so close to the female but soon the natural arousal subsided and he felt Adriana relax to him, her back becoming warmer and the cold chill on his belly becoming less of a shock, a warm air cushion forming.
He noted the hint of sadness in her voice and smiled in a reassuring sort of way, his voice portraying the little grief he had over the matter, ‘I am here now and I am well, that is my main concern. Good company is always desirable too.’ As he rumbled the last words he pushed his hips slightly forwards, pressing into her and then chuckling to himself and relaxing back to his former position again.
In response to her questioning he replied, ‘Ah, these woods, no it has only been a few days since I escaped from the humans and have just been following my paws, which have brought me here, now.’ He turned his maw away from her ear and rested his head down on his forepaws closing his eyes sleepily, a rumbling chuckle rolling deep within his throat when she announced she was not from these lands originally, ‘That would explain your inability to deal with this cold weather, Hun, but I would not fret about that for now, not while I am with you.’
His eyes remained closed though he encouraged the female to further conversation; he listened out for any tiredness in her voice, for while she slept he would remain awake to watch over her. ‘So tell me the Hun, why did you leave your original pack?’

Amaury did not read into his actions; she was lulled into a half-sleep by the rumble of his voice through her body. She yawned heavily as he dropped his head, feeling slumber tug her closer, but made a few non-committal noises to indicate she had heard his story. He was quite cheerful for someone who had only recently escaped a terrible life, and quite kind for someone who professed to have never known any kindness of his own.
She obliged his query about her story, her voice falling into a trance-like drone. "My pack was built on strict laws and ranks," she began, "though it was kind enough, to be sure. The only rank a female could hold above huntress was if she trained as a witch-doctor; sure, we respected the alpha's mate, but she had no say in anything. I didn' like it, and I spoke up." She rolled her body back a bit, relaxing, her head drooping. "They weren't gonna kick me out or nothing, but I wasn't gonna live there any more. So I just left, and ended up here."

Blank relaxed, sleep had not yet greeted him but he was of no intention of keeping his female companion from it when she seem to be welcoming sleeps gentle embrace. He listened to her words spoken in lulled tones and closed the conversation by saying, ‘Those with strength will always follow their hearts. Sleep now honey.’
Blank could feel her relaxing her muscles, leaning back into him and he shared his warmth with her. He lay his head upon his forepaws and let his eye lids drop halfway shut, this was her territory and he presumed no harm would become of them. For now he watched the snow swirl outside with its mesmerising grace.
((I think we should call it a day right now. I am just finishing an RP with Dae so he can join Tomkin. If you have any idea of plots I do not mind having them meet again.))
