Anastasia giggled at Ichabods display and wondered if he was showing off for her or just showing off.
Her head went to the side a bit as he tugged her ear and she stopped. "Did...did you just...did you just tug on my ear?" Her tone was serious as she looked at him with an expression that clearly said 'how dare you!' untill of course a grin broke across her face and she giggled, licking him on the nose, letting him know she was teasing.
Anastsia noticed when his mood changed slightly and she tilted her head. "Ichabod..I was only joking, I didn't mean it. Whats wrong?"

"Hmm?!" His ears perked and he looked startled. "I... no! I'm not upset, well maybe a little, no I'm fine." He rapidly explained, frantically trying to reassure her that she had done nothing wrong.
This was it. He was doing it. No backing down, she seemed interested enough. "I'm just a little flustered 'cause I like you.... a lot." He added the last part because he wanted her to know the way he liked her wasn't just 'Hey, you’re good company' but that it was in fact 'like-like'. He was extremely nervous for the first time… ever. He never cared about what others thought. But with Anastasia, he cared. Ichabod found himself looking at the ground before her brilliant blue paws; he just didn’t have it in him to look up at her face. He felt he couldn’t stand her rejection.

Anastasia was a bit surprised at his words. Her blue eyes going round with shock. Ichabod liked her. Felt the way she felt. Wanted her like she wanted him even. Her face softened and she sat down infront of him and used her muzzle to bring his head up to look at her. Her blue eyes met his warm orange ones and she smiled. "I like you alot too." And now that that was out she was blushing. She wasn't sure if she'd ever blushed so deep...you could actually tel were her cheeks got a darker quality and just around her blue nose had turned a slight shade of purple. Anastasia, petite, little anastasia had confessed to this helix she has known for about three hours, that yeah she was interested. Very interested. Honestly what other female would be talking to an almost stranger about this. Any other female would turn her head away and be saying things like 'Its to early for that..'. But not Anastasia. As far as she was concerned, as long as he would have her, she'd be here for him. And her thoughts startled her some, but was glad it were just thoughts and hid her sudden emotion rather well.

His heart leapt, and pick up double pace. He opened his mouth to say 'what?' but it came out more like
"Wow."
He looked at her and couldn't help but laugh; she was so red! It was sort of a hysterical laugh... it was a nervous reaction. He couldn't believe it, but he wasn't going to question it. He wanted to run with it... to just bolt! He gave a little leap, and realized his tail was going crazy, but he couldn't stop it, nor did he want to.
He wasn't going to tell her not to be embarrassed, it was just who she was, and he couldn't stand to have anything about her changed.

Anastsia wasn't quite sure what order her emotions were in. She felt happy, scared, confused, happy, and just unlike her self. She had known Ichabod for the expanse of a day. One day. Wasn't this a bit fast? She didn't feel like it was. Did he? Was she making herself to desperate? He had nice eyes.... Too many thoughts were pinging themselves around her head at such a fast rate she was loosing them just as fast as she came up with them. Her blush, if possible, deepened even more, her nose had actually turned a shade of purple now, evidence of her blush. She looked at her blue paws, her tail swaying back and forth.

'Ok..' Ichabod thought to himself. 'Time to end her suffering.' He never meant for her to be so embarrassed!
He turned his head away, tail slowing its pace.
"Perhaps we should take it down a few notches. I like you. You like me." He said looking away from her. His tail had slowed and he was regaining control of his emotions.
"It's out and we can get past any awkwardness." He smiled, looking at her again. In his mind everything was just that simple.

Anastasia looked at him with a questioning look. "I'm not sure its that simple Ichabod." She looked ahead again, her blue eyes foucusng in on a tree ahead of her. "I mean its hard, for me atleast, to just move from the awkwardness, we just spilled our feelings out twards eachother and its awkward to think we could just be friends after that...um..." She wasn't quite sure her words were comming out right and she was probably making it sound like she didn't want them to be together or friends but it would probably be awkward...She licked her nose....

His eyes were wide, and he cocked his head back in shock. What was she saying? Why was she upset?
"...So you don't want to be just friends..... but you do like me, right?" His esteem was slowly spiraling down. Did he just read her emotions wrong and make a fool of himself? No... She liked him... she said so herself. He gave himself a little confirming nod. At watched her closely to completely take in her actions and gage her emotions.

"Oh! No! Well, yes I like you, its a little more than that actually and thats why i think it would be awkward for us to be friends but at the same time we need to get to know each other and...oh I'm just butchering this whole thing up!" Anastasia let out a frustraited sigh and sat down on an up rooted tree stump and looked at Ichabod. "I'm probably giving you a complex and you're gonna think I'm crazy!" She fretted as her tail swayed nervously, her blue eyes wathing him for any type of negative reaction. Surely she was going to drive this poor male away from her...

Ichabod patiently listened to her rambling.
He let out a sigh of relief. He bounced right back to his cocky self.
Was she just nervous?
"Anastasia, nothing you could do would butcher this!" He was too big-headed to voice his fear of her not liking him. So instead he said, "I want to be more than friends too, but yeah, let’s go slow, and know each other better." He had perked up considerably.

Anastasia blew out a breath of relief and smiled at him. "Really? We can take puppy steps?" Her meek smile grew into a grin and she leaped off of her pertch. She could actually see them going places in their relationship. Later on though and that was okay. She'd have fun getting there.
