I'm currently reading Castle In The Air, and it's quite good. 3nodding

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a great book overall, too. =]

Castle In The Air is a sequel? They don't have any of the characters from Howl's Moving Castle in it do they?

I recently read Wicked: The Untold Story of the Wicked Witch of the West and it was amazing. Though it was actually quite racy so if you're not okay with that, don't read it. It's been adapted into a Broadway musical and I thought it was fantastic.
I believe I stated to read that book. Once I got to the part about the time dragon thing I stopped. It scared me. >.<

I'm actually looking for Golden Compass, I think I'd like it as well...I just love these sorts of books...
I can recommend others as well, if you like magic and such...
Lyrael -Garth Nix was it? not sure...
or Eragon, the book is quite good, they say the movie wasn't...

Lately, I've been reading all I could get my hands on from Diana Wynne Jones. And I can recommend:
"The Merlin Conspiracy"
and The Cherstomanci Chronicles which I just fell in love with! Christopher is amazing! He is competition to Howl when it comes to being a peacock in clothing. But this character is amazing! He is cynical, lost in space, sarcastic, the works! So you should start reading them all...
I read " Charmed Life" , "The Lives of Christopher Chant", "The Magicians of Caprona" (not sure if that's the actual name...) and am now finishing "Witch Week" ... in December I will get my other order from Amazon.com "Conrad's Fate" and "The Pinhoe Egg" which was Mrs. Jones latest book, and has Christopher and Cat Chant in it. I can't wait!.

ooh! just started reading the Chrestomanci Chronicles and i just bought The Pinhoe Egg. and i'm extremely fortunate to have a public library that has most of her books and i school library that has the ones the public library doesn't have. and for the ones that neither library has Barnes & Noble is just a 5 minute drive away. I feel so lucky.

it's not worth it. it's not even about Howl and Sophie and them. they're side characters. (although they're actually main characters, you just don't know it's them. tis one of those books that you have to read the end to understand the middle, if you know what i mean)
