At my library they sometimes have lists of books for people who liked a certain book or genre. So, this is a thread for people to post books that they think others might like if they liked HMC. Here are some books: The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman (I think that's the authors name... sweatdrop ) Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones (it's the sequel to HMC ^-^) Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

Sequel eh? Excellent.
Oh, and Garth Nix is also good, if you like Diana Wynne Jones.

I reccomend:
Guardians of Ga'Hoole #1: The Capture (by Kathryn Lasky) Warriors #1: Into the Wild (by Erin Hunter) Keys to the Kingdom #1: Mister Monday (by Garth Nix) The Color of Magic (by Terry Pratchett)
I could go on and on, but that's just a starting list. wink

Yay! I found another book! 'Tis called:
Noisy Outlaws, Unfreindly Blobs, and Some Other Things That Aren't as Scary, Maybe, Depending on How You Feel About Lost Lands, Stray Cellphones, Creatures from the Sky, Rarents who Disappear in Peru, a Man Named Lars Farf, and One Other Story We Couldn't Quite Finish, So Maybe You Could Help Us Out
Yes, that is the title. It's a colletion of short stories and all of them are quite odd, but they're good stories.

We might as well change this to a book chat in general.
I really think everyone here should read:
The TE of Piglet
Here is the description on the back of the book:
The TE of Piglet, in which a good deal of Taoist wisdom is revealed through the character and actions of A. A. Milne's Piglet. Piglet? Yes, Piglet. For better than impulsove Tigger, or gloomy Eeyore, or intellectual Owl, or even the lovable Pooh. Piglet herein demonstrates a very important prinicple of Taoism: the TE- a chinsese word meaning; Virtue of the Small.
It is really good, I just started reading it so not much input right now

Haha. I recently read Wicked: The Untold Story of the Wicked Witch of the West and it was amazing. Though it was actually quite racy so if you're not okay with that, don't read it. It's been adapted into a Broadway musical and I thought it was fantastic.
