Anius headed to his room, slipping in silently, the man looked around and smiled at all of his accomplishments. To most, Anius' room looked like that of a compulsive pack-rat, which technically would be true. Items of all shapes and sizes adorned his room, jewels and jewelry hanging from the ceiling. Making his way over to his bed, Anius lay down across the silken sheets, stolen of course, and closed his eyes to plan his next big scheme.

Jizabel impatiently sighed. The two had been talking for God knows how long, and the doctor was starting to tire of standing around. Without a word, he briskly left the room, rolling his eyes once he wa safely out. He then proceeded up the stairs, walking along the hallway at his own leisure. He was in no particular hurry...after all, his father didn't need him, Cain was elsewhere, and he hadn't had to kill anyone for a while, so a far as Jizabel was concerned, this was going to be a lazy afternoon.

Anius walked out of his room a while later, fingering a giant ruby that he had filched from the Earl's mansion. Walking down the hall, he didn't even notice Jizabel, unfortunately meaning that he bumped into the doctor.

Jizabel, not expecting anyone to knock into him, jumped with fright, his hands freezing involuntarily and his face like a scared cat. He turned around angrily, ready to harp on whoever bumped into him. "Would it kill you to watch where you're going, Anius?" the doctor sneered coldly, recognizing Anius as the man who had enough nerve to insult him earlier.

Anius looked up, raising an eyebrow. "I do believe that this ruby deserves more attention than you do, I'm afraid. At least when I go to the Earl's mansion, I can return with something to show for my effort," he said, waving the jewel around a little.

Jizabel simply got angrier, his eyes cold and calculating. "You're still nothing but a pack rat; a crow who only filches things for visual appeal." A slight grin drew itself across his face. "I, however, will return with the Earls very blood on my hands."

Anius just laughed. "Oh please, and you've tried to how many times now~?" he mocked, stroking the ruby. "With a ruby, it is a solid object that can be viewed and showed off as well as retaining the color of blood. Blood is a liquid, you can't pet it; and I know how much you like to stroke your findings~"

The hermit laughed again, rubbing the ruby against his cheek. "Like what you pompous doctor? At least I can stroke the Earl's family jewels," he said, snickering at the irony of his words.
(Let me see if I can't pester Cardmaster Alexis into posting. I've seen him peek online a couple times.)

Jizabel tried not to chuckle at the joke but failed, laughing coldly. "I honestly don't think I envy you on that one..." He then wrapped up his laughter and sighed contentedly. "But I don't think I'll get into a bet with someone like yourself, seeing as there really wouldn't be any contest..."

"Yes, I know that I would win, how nice of you to agree," Anius smirked. "You can't even win against Cain so what makes you think that you could beat me?" he snickered, running a hand through his blond hair.

"Simply because even the Earl has more brains than you. I would feel bad when I won by a landslide, especially against a dense crow like yourself." The doctor's voice was cold and smooth, piercing the air like a blade.
