The butterfly I understand, and spongebob I'm guessing is a preference of your son's, but of what special significance is the jellyfish?

lol...i think fawn shocked poor bippy....lol...spongebob is known for hunting jellyfish..... lol

Yeah, I am a little scared after bippy's reply. Wondering what I missed.

Jade watches spongebob sometimes, and I overhear it, but I've never heard of him hunting jellyfish!

*gasp* you need to watch more spongebob lol

As for crochet...i finished my first project ... a scarf for my mom Here

nope there's all kinda of cool things you can do crochet. I'm working on the matching cap now (in rounds) then I'm working on an afghan for my cousin's son using the yarn my grandfather gave me that used to be my grandmother's. When we were younger she crocheted all of her grandkids afghans. I know she would have done one for Jeremy too if she were still well when he was born (she died when he was just 2 i believe...before that she was pretty much housebound and in hospitals his whole little life due to a couple strokes and kidney failure) and finally my goal is to make sexy shawls/shrugs for my bridesmaids for my wedding in May xd

http://freecrochetpatterns.lionbrand.com Some crochet ideas I'm looking at

edit hrm it appears my url isn't working and i don't know how to fix it sad

Edit by fawN - I don't know how to fix it either! The code looks the same as your working url to your scarf image.. I thought it might have been the apostrophe, but it didn't work when I took it our or changed it to a `.

edit by jaz it appears to work now seems just the url= around it is gone. *sigh* stupid bbcode

Please tell me you've over heard the words "Squidward, are you ready to go jelly fishing yet?", "Are you ready now?", "Are you ready now?", "Are you ready now?", "Are you ready now?"... Ohh and don't forget the one where Squidward asks Spongebob and Patrick... "Who's the idiot that invinted this jelly fishing anyway?", Their reply... "You are Squidward!"...

LOL, I guess you can tell I watch a little too much Spongebob. It's my girls I tell you!!!! They tie me down on the chair and make me watch!! eek

*curls up on the floor and starts repeating* No more spongebob momma, no more spongebob momma.

i myself cross stitch....it was easiest for me....but i have only done one patterned one.....all the others were of my own creation....yep that is me using my brain...and it actually work....lol.....

the first one i did was for jakes 2003 halloween pic.....it was of spongebob with jellyfish floating around.....with his name and halloween 2003 all arund a frame....which i put a pic of jake in his halloween outfit......

the other is of my tattoo on my arm...which you can probably guess is a butterfly....

the third was my biggest....i did one for my stepdad of an 18 wheeler.....and on the side of the trailer is spongebob....named the truck the jellyfish express.....

and the fouth was a design based on a celtic symbol.....i cant remember the name of it....but to give you a idea of what it looks like.....there are 4 circles placed in a diamond pattern..none interlaced...but all attached by a 5th circle in the middle of them...if anyone can think of the name then remind me....

i need to take some pics of these for you all to see...they look better then they sound....lol

WOW girl, those sound awesome!! You have GOT to show us a picture of them. I bet they are beautiful.

On the poll I voted quilting. I have always wanted to quilt but that's the one thing I haven't done. Actually I don't understand it much. I haven't had much time to work on a sewing machine. I did make my oldest girl her halloween outfit when she was 2 (I should post a picture of it). That's the only time I've really worked on a sewing machine other than hemming or sewing up holes. I think I'm better at hand sewing. But once we get moved and settled down I'm going to start quilting. I've heard of people doing WHOLE quilts in hours. Geeze it would take me years, LOL. But that is something I want to say I have done wink

rofl I'm glad she liked it so much! Jade's never really worn any of her Halloween costumes for long other than on Halloween because she always picks the Barbie Princess (or Fairy, or Ballerina, or Bride) dresses, and they're made out of that scratchy material which isn't comfy.

Do you have more pictures of your girls? I wanna see! xd

That makes me laugh thinking of my youngest son... when he was in kindergarten my soldier son brought him BDUs for Christmas... he wanted to go on dressing like a soldier every day for over a week! Then Christmas before last my sister made him a cowboy shirt, bought black jeans and black boots, and you guessed it, he dressed like a cowboy for several days. It is almost no wonder I have to home school that child, as he has way too much imagination for the public school system to deal with rofl His "Christmas Costumes"

Back to the topic, though, I selected knitting because I really WANT to learn that. (Thanks sunny for the suggested software, I will have to check it out)I already do/have done most of the others on the list, but the list left off my VERY favorite... Crewel and most types of embroidery. In fact, I used to teach it redface

Better remind her or it will never get done!

Jade learned to sew/stich a square on fabric for part of her homework yesterday. 3nodding She did really well for a first time!! Her homework this week all had to do with the letter S. Sew or Stitch a Square. Draw Six or Seven Snowflakes and Stars. Make a Scrapbook about School. (It was difficult trying to teach her to make a five pointed star, but she was finally able to do it if I drew the five dots and let her connect them! 4laugh
