They said in the letter PP that they will continue with a new female vocalist. I have'nt really heard many Nightwish songs so this has'nt really effected me. I find it rather sad though because from what I did hear they were good. However from what Tumuro said if she was acting like then that is completely uncalled for because no-one should act like that much of a diva. But at the same time I symathise with Tarja. *Huggles everyone in the guild. But what i do agree is that without her the band will be very different and might be good but more likely will be bad.

I think the whole thing was unfortunate seeing as how Tarja was one of the definitive elements of the band's earlier sound. But I think this move is perhaps for the best all things considered. She wasn't fitting in as well with the new heavier Nightwish. If they can find the right vocalist I feel they can regain their footing and fans who feel that Nightwish is now dead were never really fans to begin with.

I was shocked when I read the open letter. I became a fan thanks to Tarja - her voice in Wishmaster impressed me deeply. But I've also heard songs in which Tarja sings not as good, songs I don't like with Tarja singing them. And I've heard Marco singing - he's good!

Israfel_Zan Well, there are plenmty of operatic singers. Still Tuimas wrote the songs, and the songwriter is the most importasnt part of nightwish here here ZAN, nightwish will continue to go on , i just hope what taumas said in End of innocence is not to be taken to heart, "when there is nothing more to write , there will be no more Nightwish" his writing skills have made me cry as much as the best powerballad and for that alone he shall forever have my respect, so i trust him 100 % granted tarja is a reasone most guys listen to the band will be a shame to lose her , but im trusting the guys to replace her with someone more Powerful crying

That is very sad... I really hope Tarja and the rest of the band find their right paths sometime soon.
It is sad news that Tarja won't be the lead singer anymore; she was good. But I am looking forward to see who they will use as their next lead singer, and how well he or she will cope. Maybe it'll be a guy, and maybe his or her voice will be completely different to Tarja's. It will be a change I will be watching.
Anyway... Twas a shame, twas a shame...

I'm going to cry! I actually have that first letter already, but after reading her letter I just can't see what the rest of the band was talking about, but I guess everyone has a bad side of them that is shown only to those close to them. I really don't think Nightwish will be able to do as well without Tarja, although they will be far from over. It's just impossible to find someone who can replace Tarja, her volice is so beautiful that I don't think I could bring myself to listen to Nightwish if I can't hear her voice. Well, I guess time will tell, and I wish the best of luck to the band and to Tarja. crying

No, they're merely rehearsing the songs without the vocals. By the way, Moondance is an awesome song even though it's instrumental. I can certainly live with more of those. However, I cannot live with Marco as the only singer. He made me sick when I heard their cover of The Phantom of the Opera. A phantom of the OPERA doesn't GRUNT! scream
