Ichiruo roken822 My people understand wicca as an earth magic that humans who haven't become mages can use, (Check the how did you get into magic topic for more on mages) but what I don't understand is the controversy that seems to have arisen regarding things such as love spells and such, If memory serves, wiccans don't cast love spells or spells to harm, but some idiot at my school keeps "putting curses" on people under the name of wicca Grrrh! those are the people who give Wicca a bad name. And Wicca isnt really an "Earth" only religion, we honor and call on all of the Elements. And your memorys serves you well, we dont cast "curses". But yes, we do cast love spell, but they're really just spells to open our hearts to our soul-mates, we dont put love spells or any other spells, for that mather, on anybody with out their say, its hurts their spirits and freewill. Something we never cross or break. oh when I said "Earth" I meant the planet not the element, (Again explained in the 'how did you get into magic' topic) But yes spirits are something no one should EVER mess with, especially since NO ONE in the history of time has ever FULLY understood what it is

And the "curses" that this idiot are not anyway. Hes not a true Wiccan. Yes I believe you, especially since his "Curses" never worked

Something we never cross or break. Is the reason Wiccans would never enpede free will cause they can't or something else? I get the impression from what I have heard that they have the ability but there are consequences for those actions. In other words the bad karma would far outweigh the good of the love spell.

Three times good, three times bad.
What we put out comes back around. Yes, as far as your thought about the love spell gos, your right. And why would you break somebodys freewill? Their spirit? And yes we cant break somebodys will and spirit because we dont want to do it. And because its not something you can do.
And yes. There are consequences to the thing we do. Not all bad. Good for good. Bad for bad.

Sakura_Moonlight2421 Just wondering are Pagans similar in any way. Before I think I mistaken Wicca for Pagan. So very sorry. sweatdrop It seems my memory isn't very good going back a long time ago. Wicca - A religion in and of itself Pagan - A term used by the Church to label a religion that isn't of Abrahamic, Islamic or Jewish origin. So, Wicca, Heathenism (The Celtic Religion), Kemeticism (The Egyptian Religion), Germanic Paganism, and many other Religious Practices all come under the Pagan umberella. There is no "Pagan" religion. It' an umberella term. It doesn't apply to a specific religion. Someone may title themselves "Pagan", but it's in-accurate since it's a big term. Some solitary practitioners create their own tradition or ways of practice, but calling it "Paganism" is a bit misleading.

They're mis-labelling themselves. You seem to be mislead on what Wicca's actually about. Yes, Wiccans practice magic, but that is not it's central theme. It's more about living in Harmony with the God and Goddess, and the Universe and the Earth. So, instead of working against the natural flow, work with it. "Love" means lots of things. Not just romance. Self-love spells are popular, Welcoming a new pet spells are popular, Enhancing or helping the love between you and someone else is sometimes done, too. And attracting love into your life (in many forms, not just romance or relationships or a date) So yeah... "Love and Light" is a blessing in Wicca I've heard said a lot...

Wicca, comes from an old Anglo-Saxon word: Wicce.
Wicce, meant: Female witch
Wicca: Male witch.
