Ahh.... But the traps make this all the more exciting. Istas could feel it building. Though... She wasn't to keen on the idea of dieing. No, not dieing, that was a huge turn off. But a little mystery... She turned to follow after Edel. She might not have been interested in the same thigns as the other mare, so her going first would keep Istas from wondering off, and getting lost.

"Do you know if the two leggers built this?" She could only think of them, as being the ones that could build something like this. Her hooves echoed against the walls with Edel's as she followed after her into the darkness. Her eyes slowly adjusting.

Edel looked over markings on the wall, stopping every now and then when she thought she saw something interesting. So far, no traps. Maybe this was just a ruin after all. Although she could almost feel the built up tension in the air, something was going to happen, she just had to be prepared for it when it did. She was pondering over a new firgure against the wall when Istas spoke.

"I think so, but they were obviously old, very old, two leggers." Ede; touched the figures hand, and that's when it happened. The hand shifted under her wait and then here was a sort of clicking noise. "This might be bad." Just the, the floor under them slide down to form a sloop and then were slidding/ falling into a dark underground.

Istas hadn't really been paying attention, but her ears heard all the noise and she turned her head. "bad?" She tried to back up, feeling the gravity pulling them down but it was no good, and she went sliding with Edel into the darkness. Hooves scrapping the stone as they descended.

They would hit hte bottom not to long after. But it wasn't like a solid floor... Or was it? In the darkness Istas couldn't see a thing, but every time she moved something under her feet shifted and it was solid. she stumbled up to her feet...

"Edel are you okay?"

Edel had a bit of a rough landing, despite the fact she could have just flown out of it. She had two reasons for not doing so, it didn't even cross her mind because she was so taken by surprise, and she wouldn't abandon Istas to this underground fate.

When they were roughly dumped on the floor, the slide returned to it's normal up position and they were stuck in the dark, with a creeping floor. She wished her eyes would adjust to see the floor, but she knew they wouldn't. She could see, but not that well. Even with her blindfold off. Not to mention, she had a throbbing pain in her front right ankle.

"A small pain, nothing I can't handle for a little while. Now, tell me I'm not crazy, and the floor isn't moving?" She was only slightly panicked, she'd been in situations like this before, but usually with some kind of light ior hope, and never with a crawling floor.

Istas was looking for Edel and when she spoke, she was able to pinpoint her location. She looked around, her ears twitching trying to make sense of what she said, but she felt like she was starting to loose balance. "Uh.... I wish I could tell you..." She laughed nervously.

One of her hooves slipped off the stone and it found sand, and it almost sucked her forward. "It feels like sand, under the stone... I don't think we should hang out here."

Edel shook her head, even though it was dark and the other mare probably couldn't see her. "We need to find a way out, unfortunately my eyes don't let me see in this kind of darkness." She couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for getting let into this mess. If she would have just stuck it on her own she probably would have been able to remind herself to fly away. But, she wanted company, and the chance to make a real friend was nice.

"There's a chance there's a hidden door somewhere. Feel around the walls and stay clear of sand, or anything else shifty." Edel wobbled over to one of the walls, realizing the floor really was sand, and it was shifting. There was probably some traps in the center of the room. Best to stay away.

Istas could probably only see just a bit more then Edel... She made her way to the other side and she nosed her way about. She wanted to be the ony to find the door... Because Edel could fly over and meet her. But everything felt like it could have been a door... Istas had no idea what exactly it would feel like.

"So uh... I have no idea what this thing is suppose to feel li-" Before she could finish that sentence, her head felt nothing. She had found an opening, but it wasn't very tall... Could they even fit into it? "I-I found an opening~!" the relief could be heard in her voice...

Edel sighed with relief, Istas had found an opening. It probably wasn't a smart idea to take a detour, but it was better then falling into the sand and having no hopes of returning at all. She flattened herself against the wall and was about to shrink and fly over to join Istas, when she remembered the bang her wing took when the floor shifted above them.

"Is it big enough to fit through?" She asked, as she made her way along the wall until she came to the same opening. It was rather tight...

"I can't tell..." Istas mumbled as she ducked down and wiggled her way in... "Its really dark... Is there anything I should be looking for?" She had never done this before, and if there was a trap or something dangerous that usually happened she wanted to know now.

Her ears twitched.... "Edel... I hear running water. Is that good?" In places like this, unknown to Istas, the humans would often have water irrigation so that they could keep craps alive, for whatever reason they needed them in there for.

Edel smiled, and tapped Istas's back l;eg with one of her front hooves. "You don't have anything to worry about, I'm right behind you." She didn't think they're be a trap down here. After all, they'd already fallen into the trap. So, it should be safe for a little while. Edel was quick to pick up the sound of running water, just a few second after Istas mention the noise.

"Running water is a very good sign. Keep moving toward that sound." With any luck, it was one of the systems two-leggers used to keep their plants watered without having to do a lot of work on their own.

Istas nodded as she kept walking. She felt more comfortable with Edel right there, but she would have rather Edel be in the front. She walked towards the water but there still was no sight of it. It wasn't for a good five minutes of walking down the small corridor that she took could say that they were actually close.

"Once we get there, What am I suppose to do?" She wanted to glance back at Edel but it was proving to be impossible.

Edel followed as closely behind Istas as the walls around them would let her. She had to keep her wings extra close to her back so the wouldn't bump anything, and her tail kept making a terribly scratching noise whenever she accidentally let it bump into a wall or drag on the ground. When they didn't find the water soon, it was obvious she was getting irritated.

"I'm not sure. First, we have to find it." Edel tried to keep her voice down, and it worked just a bit. You could still hear her agitation though. She wanted out of this cramped corridor and soon.

Istas was a little disappointed. She didn't want to be in the lead of this, since these things weren't her area of interest. She could tell that Edel was getting annoyed and she was too. She wanted to just start kicking down the walls, but she knew better then that at least.

As she walked, took a sudden fall forward and it was then followed by a splash." Ah halla..." She growled, it hurt, she and she probably her her ankle joint... "Well I found the water... " She wanted to follow it out, and get out of this place.... "You should take the lead."

Edel shruk down to the usual flutter size and zipped around Istas. They were in a much larger corridor now, and the water was a very shallow river, but it was obvious to see that it was following out into some exit not far off. She was a little disappointed in this trip, she had hoped to find something a little more interesting, but at least she hadn't gone through all the trouble on her own! In a way she felt bad for the other mare, but she couldn't let herself dwell on that.

"It's not much further now! I can smell fresh air up ahead!" Edel was back to her normal size, though she was still considerably smaller then Istas. She smiled back at the mare and then trotted along the River.
