H i s t o r y
--------Far away from the lands of Queen Maya, there was a medium-sized herd that, though it wasn't the largest, commanded a decent amount of land. The herd prided itself on its cold and strong warriors, led by a group of five that called itself "The Council." Shawnie was a part of this council, seated at the head of the warriors at the position of "The Minister of War." Time passed, and the members of the herd became restless. There was talk of revolution to overthrow the tyranny of the Council. Soon, civil war broke onto the land. While Shawnie led the warriors of the Council against those of the rebels, she was told to hold back by one of her dearest friends and the second in command of the herd, Devon. Devon told Shawnie that he was negotiating with the rebels, and that he believed that they would soon surrender. As the days passed and the rebel group drew near, Devon left saying that he was to get reinforcements, and on the journey meet with the leader of the rebels to discuss ending the war, and disappeared. The thoughts of the rebel surrender were untrue, however, and an unprepared army, led by Shawnie, was quick to fall. The herd killed itself out, and Shawnie was one of the last alive. She left her lands, and came to the glen of the Queen Maya. Unknown to her, Devon had returned to their former herd lands only a day too late, and too was quick to flee the warzone, also ending up in Maya's lands.

-----Lightning Manipulation
--------Shawnie has the ability to create and control bolts of lightning. She can redirect these bolts a short distance to attack other herla, and small prey animals. If these bolts were to hit another Herla, it would, at most, leave a bad scorched burn. It could not kill, but could critically injure though such power would require immense amounts of concentration and would rarely occur.
--------This ability does not work in the rain. She is strongest during the day, and during thunderstorms. During thunder and lightning storms, Shawnie can redirect the bolts of lightning for even more power.
