"Shadow, I've met this omega before." He subtly reminded Shadow of Comhnall's low rank. "He couldn't defend himself against a pair of lynxes, let alone force himself on anyone. He's not that kind of helix. I'm NOT saying your a liar." He remembered that Comhnall did love Nani. Something could have, must have happened. Not rape though. "Your perfectly right to protect her." He could see how upset his friend was. "I'm just saying we need to know more about what happened." He reasoned. He had a feeling Nani hadn't been given a chance to tell her story, due to her condition.
If it were true he would step aside and let justice be served. However he knew Comhnall enough from their last experience that he didn't have the guts to physically force someone down and rape them like that. The only time he showed a hint of defiance was when he was trapped and cornered. He also knew Comhnall had a heart, underneath all that fear and sexy fur. He would protect him.
Shadow wouldn't trust Comhnall's story, but what about Nani's? Could she talk? Was she dying? It sure sounded like it. He could see Shadow was torn. "What's wrong with her?" He asked, breaking the northerner attitude. He couldn't help it, he had saved her once. Had given her the chance to grow into a beautiful adult. Now it looked like he was watching her die again, he didn't know what pregnancies were. He wanted Shadow to go tend to her, it might calm the both of them down a little. With two males there watching it wasn't like Comhnall or him could escape, even if they tried. Especially with Comhnall injured. He wasn't going anywhere without Comhnall so it looked like they were stuck there for now. Why wasn't anyone tending to Nani yet?!

Shadow snarled, ready to argue back, when another of Nani's pained sounds reached his ears. Kane... he sounded like Nani with his persuading tone. His eyes darted towards Kane, the pink male, Bellino, and Nani. The sight of her hurt him and he lowered his tail nervously. He had only found out she was pregnant today, and she was already ready to give birth. He couldn't go off and find someone to help. Heck, he didn't even know how to help. He had never seen a pregnant female before today.
"I... I'm not sure." Shadow admitted glumly, his whole body trembling now. His anger was gone, now, only to be replaced with a desperate uncertainty. "She's pregnant." was all he managed to mutter out. Nani looked so broken there, and all of his defences, all of his strengths, they seemed to melt away. What could he do to stop it?
"Nani." he choked out before running to her, everyone else forgotten. "Nani, don't leave me."
Comhnall whimpered quietly, looking at the mess around him. It was all his fault. He, too, had never been close to a pregnant female, and although he would have liked to help, he didn't know what to do. He wasn't even sure he'd be able to help the way he was, and when Shadow moved closer to Nani, he feared for her until he saw the expression on Shadow's face. Still, he couldn't help but worry and he latched lightly onto Kane's tail with his teeth, trying not to hurt him, hoping that through his actions, Kane understood that he was thankful.

Nani howled louder, the pain terrible as the puppies urged her to allow them to escape, "Ah.... Please!!!" she sobbed uncontrollably, unable to even open her eyes. Her poor Comhnall was being hurt by her beloved Shadow. Everything was going wrong. Everything.....
Then a familiar scent rushed in on them, saving her poor Comhnall from Shadow's ruthless attacks, "Kane... Oh, thank god, Kane, you saved him... You.... Ah!" her paws dug into the earth as she sobbed out, her back arching in pain. She couldnt have her precious pups out here. No, they could die! They needed to be in a cave. A safe place. Somewhere not in the open. Somewhere that her pups could survive.
Shadow was over her now, but that didn't stop the pain. "Shadow....Bellino...Kane... Comhnall...." these four friends and family members were just standing there, "SOMEONE BETTER F*CKING HELP ME THIS MINUTE OR I'M GOING TO KILL SOMETHING!" she shrieked through the pain, her cussing stringing out with more howls of pain. You knew Nani was serious when the innocent mouthed beauty started cussing like a sailor...
Bellino had been distracted. Where the hell were all these hot babes coming from, and why hadn't Nani introduced them to him before?!? Apparently the most recent one was Kane, one damn fine helix, and he was protecting the sexy salmon, Comhnall.... But Nani was still in labour, and it sounded like her pups weren't going to wait for them to end this spat.
"Shadow, help me lift her... She's too... Uh... Round to do it by myself...." she pressed on shoulder blade under Nani to lift her, waiting for Shadow to take the other side. He then looked to the babes, "Seeing as there seemes to have been a misunderstanding, and that Nani doesn't want Pinky to get beat up, then you, Mister other babe, will have to carry pinky and follow us. Right now, Nani needs the father of her pups with her... Sorry Shadow, you'll have to deal with him for like, an hour, hopefully not any shorter then that. Now let's go before she starts trying to chew our heads off.... Which should be soon by that mouth of hers. Damn, girl, if yor mother heard that mouth...." he was cut off by an angry glare and a near loss of the end of his nose. Time to get going...

"Yes?" Shadow asked, desperate to help Nani and to stop her pain. He did feel a little jealous when Nani called the names of everyone else, as if he weren't good enough to help her alone, but that thought flew out the window as soon as she started cussing. He had only heard her cuss when she was very serious, and so he didn't waste any time helping Bellino.
"Where to?" he asked, ears flattening. He hated that everyone but him always seemed to know what to do to help Nani. Kane in the snow, and Bellino with the pregnancy.
"Why does he need to be here?" Shadow demanded when Bellino mentioned the pink male. "I'll admit I've never helped anyone give birth," Shadow said, blushing. "But I'm sure we can manage without that load of garbage."

Kane perked his ears at the flower male, hearing him calling him 'mister other babe.' Had he found someone like him? Another gay, or bi? Comhnall was a father, so he must have been straight. It was sad all this hot male wasn't being appreciated at all. He flattened his ears angrily when Shadow called him garbage. He sighed, knowing Shadow was just upset.
Leaning his head down at last he inspected Comhnall's injuries. He gently licked at the bleeding wound, eyes full of sorrow. "Could you ever forgive me....?" Kane asked, speaking in a whisper while looking down into his blue eyes. "After you ran away I stuck around but I didn't follow closely enough to sense danger. I said I'd protect you but look what's happened!" He clearly blamed himself for the wounds. "I am sorry." His tail looped loosely around Comhnall's shoulders, his way of responding to the gentle bite on his tail. "I know it doesn't take away the pain but I'm here now. I won't let Shadow harm you again." He promised, determined to keep his word this time. He lowered his nose to Comhnall's shoulder but couldn't smell anything other than blood. "Your pups are being born soon. Nani wants you there. I don't want you to hurt yourself by trying to walk. Do you trust me enough to carry you?" Kane asked. "We don't have much time."

Comhnall was having the time of his life being practically ignored. Why, just a few seconds ago, he had found a strage protrusion coming from his paw. He was disappointed when it became obvious it was only one of his claws, and his ears flattened as he looked for another object to distract him.
When Kane came closer, his eyes widened and he shut his eyes tight and pressed his head against the floor, to get it as far away as possible, instinctively. He was trembling and almost cried out with surprise when he felt a warm tounge on his wound. His eyes opened a crack and an ear pricked up when Kane spoke, and Comhnall was wondering what the apology was for. Mayhaps because last time, Comhnall had attacked him?
He fiddled with his paws and looked away, uncertain. He never heard a higher up apologize to him before and it... kind of scared him. His eyes lost their questioning glance when Kane continued, but still he was nervous. "There's nothing to be sorry for." Comhnall said, worried. He tried to look up at Kane to show that he meant it. "This was my fault."
He looked away again, ashamed. It was only because he had denied it, kept it hidden, and tried to keep it away by telling himself he loved Nani. The secret that he hadn't told anyone, that he had been too afraid to tell himself: that he knew he loved Kane.
The stinging of his wounds and Kane's gentle words shook him out of his thoughts and he nodded timidly. "I trust you."

Kane waited for him to come out of his instinctive flinching, joy sang through him when Comhnall said he trusted him. After all this, had he really gained his trust? It made him incredibly happy, even though Kane knew from their last encounter that Comhnall wasn't that interested in him. Kane smiled anyway.
Unable to stall anymore Kane gently wiggled himself underneath his pink friend then stood with Comhnall on his back. He started walking after the three helixes ahead of them, Nani's howls making it easy to follow. He was glad to be bisexual. Girls having pups come out of them sounded painful and gross.
"Congratulations on becoming a father." Kane announced, watching where he was going.

Bellino rolled his eyes, "She needs the father there. It will make birthing easier for her to know the father will be there." and continued, feeling he'd go deaf from the screaming in his ear if they didn't hurry. Bellino reached Shadow and Nani's home, and lay Nani down, nodding Comhnall over. "It'd be best if you were nearby. Set him down beside her, handsome young man. And Shadow, no complaining. The faster we do this the easier it will be on--" "THIS F*CKING HURTS!!!" "----Nani..."
-FAST FORWARDS-
Nani lay quietly, panting a little, but otherwise she was serene. Five small pups lay with her, each looking in their own suddle ways like their parents. Nani managed to sit up, nuzzling the small pups who whimpered and whined happily at their mother.
"I... I have puppies.... My very own...." she felt herself become teary-eyed. She wouldn't leave these pups. She wouldn't die on them. No... She'd love them with all of her heart for an eternity. Looking to Comhnall, she felt guilt shoot through her, ".... I know it had been by accident, but..." she looked to Shadow, daring for him to complain about this, before turning back, " Thank you for being here, Comhnall. You're truly a great best friend..." she murmured, looking back to her pups as the youngest yipped. Nani could only laugh. Such sweet things.... It made her heart glow tenderly.

Comhnall rolled so that his was lying on his stomach... on Kane. He wasn't sure what was more uncomfortable. The fact that his wound seemed to feel every strand of Kane's fur as it pressed against his cuts or that he was riding on top of Kane. His fur burned and it felt as if he were walking on pins and needles. He could see the strange male, a pained Nani, and bristling Shadow up ahead, and his surprise at viewing them from higher up, as if he grew taller, was enough to block the pain for a little while.
"Thanks." Comhnall muttered, gasping a bit when his speech shifted his stomach slightly, making it sting. He decided to keep silent for the rest of the way. As Kane walked, Comhnall kept trying to steel himself to roll off of Kane, and calmly say something like "I feel just fine, now. Thanks." and walk away, but everytime he shifted to try, his torn stomach rubbed painfully against Kane's back, and he could only brave a whimper. After a while, he stopped trying to do that, too, fearing Kane would fall or trip if he moved too much.
[Fast Forward]
As soon as Kane was safely settled, Comhnall rolled off as quickly as possible, trying to stay close to Nani to give her the help she apparently needed and trying to keep his distance, too, because of Shadow. His eyes widened when Nani gave birth to the first pup and he had fainted before the second pup was even born.
Shadow only snorted in disbelief at Bellino's words but, unwilling to make his lack of knowledge too obvious, he kept silent and put his full attention on getting Nani home as safely and painlessly as possible. He gave her occasional licks on the cheek, at first to comfort her, and then to try and silence her screams. He didn't think he'd ever been so happy to see the den he called home as he had been at that moment.
[Fast Forward]
Shadow's eyes twitched with surprise, discomfort, and wonder. He wondered if he had been that... wet, when he had been born. His wonder, though, quickly turned to looks of digust when the pelt colors started showing, flashing designs that both Comhnall and Nani held. His lips raised in a snarl as he watched the pups, and when he looked at Comhnall, his lips curled even higher. To think that weakling dared to mate with Nani.
