I actually think that it was part of a plan and that he didn't really kill Dumbledore. I think that he is really good deep down.

I can't decide. A lot of evidence proved him good, and some evidence proved him bad. I mean, he is sort of a hero, saving Harry and all. But he has the right to be mad at harry's dad for teasing him, but not the right to be mad at Harry. Its not harry's fault; he can''t control what his father did.

ForsakenWings Alright. Lots of good points on the pro's and cons of this topic. I personally trust him completely.
REASONS WHY SEVERUS IS GOOD
-Dumbledore Trusted him. That's good enough for me -He obviously didn't kill Dumbledore in cold blood, they made an agreement (...Dumbledore would never beg anyone for his life...now REQUESTING TO BE KILLED IS A DIFFERENT STORY) -He made a binding agreement to save Draco (goes along with the point before this) -TIME and TIME again Severus was pinned with being the badguy. And TIME and TIME again, he proved us wrong. -He's saved Harry too many times to be evil...there's no way ALL those rescues were just to save face... -He's in the order...hello! -In GOF when the mark burned he did nothing. -He wasn't at the GOF rebirth ceremony for Voldemort. -EVEN after "killing" Albus, and having Harry rabidly attack him...he was giving Harry advice on how to beat Voldemort: "Blocked again and again..." "...until you learn to keep your mouth shut and your mind closed, Potter!"-AGAIN Albus trusts him!!! DAMNIT!
REASONS WHY SEVERUS IS BAD -He's a double-DOUBLE agent...it's plain as day. -Once a death eater, always a death eater... -Slytherin much! Period! The end! -He's MEAN and his hair's GREASY...ewwww! He must be EV!L!!!111 -Dumbledore admits he could make mistakes... -To do an unforgivable you have to MEAN it (iffy...)Also discuss, no matter what side you're on concerning Severus...what you think will happen to him in the 7th book. Do you think he'll be killed? And if you're in favor of him being good: Do you think he'll die saving Harry? Will Voldemort kill him? Will he reveal what REALLY happened with dumbledore at the very end, making Harry feel really guilty and like a total GIT?!?! Lol...ahem He shouldn't get himself into those situations.... not to mention I never liked his attitude. Also I like your siggy pic... but Lupin is not Gay he is a natural born unic. Peter Petig... is gay.

Yasai I really think he's good. Not only those reasons, but Hagrid overheard Snape and Dumbledore arguing that he didn't want to do something. I think Dumbledore knew from the beginning that he would most probably die. Snape told him about the Unbreakable Oath, and Dumbledore told him if it came down to it, then to kill him so Draco wouldn't have to. That goes along with "Severus, please" and the fact that they "gazed" at eachother before the act. 2 Very very advanced legillmens and occlumens staring at eachother, especially with such a specific verb as 'gazed' and you don't think there's at least a little convo going on there? I do. I do think Dumbledore's dead though. JK has made it very clear that once you're dead in her stories, you stay dead. It's part of the lesson of growing up for Harry. If any of the people he lost come back for any reason, it'll be the opposite of everything she's set up so far, and therefore.. impossible? Yeah. Snape may not be a perfectly good person, but that's what makes him so intriguing. He's *not* perfect, you *don't* know what side he's on. Both sides think he's a double agent for them. At that point, maybe he doesn't even know which side he's truely on. Even though I do believe he's "light" side, and no matter what side he's on, I don't think he's evil, I don't think he's "good" as a person. Either way though, he's my favorite character in the series, so if he is truely Dark Side, well... I guess I need to get a mask and tattoo, ne? Hear, hear! Especially on your last paragraph. I believe he's pretty much looking out for himself, but he has at least SOME amount of conscience, and sees that working for Voldemort is wrong...or at least he sees that Dumbledore has a plan to get rid of him and that it'll work, so he'd better be fighting for the right side. And then he gets all caught up with being a spy and double-agent, and I agree that he might not really know who he's working for. I'd sure be confused. And he's not a very nice person, in any case, but I'd say he's in league with Dumby.

I didn't trust him until the sixth book, now I definitely think he'll end up truly being on Dumbledore's side and what not. I really can't see it happening otherwise.

I completely trust Severus. I don't think he is evil at all. Just watch. I bet he'll be the hero of the last book. (Though I think he'll die doing it. crying )

I think he wants to replace Voldemort as a new dark lord and sway Harry to his side! *Arise, Darth Potter..."

I can't really decide either way, but take a moment to think about this. Tom Riddle opened the Chamber of Secrets but framed Hagrid. Dumbledore knew that it was Tom and did not give him a second chance. He gave Snape a second chance. Who knows? Just a thought...

I trust Snape still, but not as much as I did before. I don't really think that Snape is totally on the Dark Side, I think he's just looking out for number one and is still deciding which side would be better to join at the moment.
I didn't trust him at first, after the death, but now I am starting to more.
