Autumn Fyhr Civi, sorry for the mix-ups, it was late-ish and my brain was turning off.
If anyone has any other ideas, please, PLEASE, put them down. We would love to know what you guys would like to see if you are planning on playing.
Something I forgot to mention. Harry Potter does exist, in book form only. no worries fyhr! but that does remind me of something else...all char concepts must be pre-approved by gm before you start playing! please submit them to me (Civilian13) by PM

i've begun work on making a website to go along with the game. it'll have a page laying out the general structure of the classes. i'll start work on generating a student and teacher list one civi starts getting and approving char concepts.

Dang, i thought you wanted a good rp thread to join... I have one, but so far no one has even acknoledged its EXISTANCE! I thought it was cool, it has to do with a floating castle and monsters and deathtraps and crud. If you wanna see it click the link in my signature, or copy paste if the link isnt working. Extravagantly Yours - no, i'd rather not have playable vampires. with the theme of this guild we'd be nothin but vampires...and some would try and pull in some twilight style vamps...which would just temp me to throw them out on there ears. vampires do NOT sparkle. not to mention every time vamps are involved they generally become the focus, and i don't want that to be the case with this game. they exist, they're there, but we don't care.
Darkness Bandita - i clicked your link..........i don't know about anyone else but "EVERY room in the castle IS supposed to be a deathtrap" and "ACTUALLY DIE, I dont want any "Chuck Norris"'s in my thread, you can die as many times as you want and still post more, just make a new character." is an EXTREME turnoff for me. the point to rp is to NOT die. what fun is it if you have to make a new character every five minutes??

Another note: You may notice that there aren't any elective type classes or school sponsered extracarricular activities on that list. We were planning on these mostly being covered by student clubs. If you have an idea for a club, lety us know and we will work it out. All clubs must have at least one school staff advisor. A club we have already created (and the reason Harry Potter is a set of books in this world) is the Quidditch Club. Basically, several students read Harry Potter, thought Quidditch sounded like a lot of fun, and have set about trying to make it work. This is encouraged because it gives them all a great deal of applied magical practice.
Also, I think for now at least, most staff members should be played by those of use who have created this place. Some as NPCs probably. I'm not trying to exclude anyone, but at the moment, we know the most about the world. As we get into the game a bit we would see about accepting new players for faculty and such.

As we get into the game a bit we would see about accepting new players for faculty and such. we're also thinking of allowing up to two players to play as vampires. i'll have a few npcs as vampires as well, probably as the shadow magics teacher. mrsbruhaha has agreed to play as the magical creatures that inhabit the island (ie the dragon that decided the castle makes a good nest, some fairies, and unicorns and the like)

and of course Quidditch
