Silvertail watched her deputy and Leafdapple run out of camp and then turned to look at Rainfur. He looked as happy as she felt. Silvertail snapped at his ear playfully. "I do not gossip!" She hissed. Then she got to her feet in one swift movement and broke into a run, yowling over her shoulder "I'll race you to the border mouse-brain!" She ran out of the camp laughing and purring. Her eyes twinkled and her whiskers twitched happily.

She stopped running when she was a couple fox-tails away from the camp entrance and walked. She didn't want to lose the two slowpokes. She began to sniff the air and she could smell the river, she also caught the scent of Leafdapple and Robinwing, veering toward the river. Various prey scents made her mouth water but she kept going. They would hunt on the way back. She stopped then and waited for the others to catch up.

Pebblefoot took off after her sister as soon as she saw her get up. Pebblefoot was not a warrior but she could keep her pace just as well as one. She caught up in no time and saw that Silvertail had stopped running. She slowed and caught her breath before sniffing the air as well, searching for different scents though. She did smell a few herbs but she would grab them on the way back. No sense in carrying them all the way out to the border and back. The gray she-cat then sat and watched patiently as she waited for the other two to get moving again.

"Good, because that's the best place to hunt around this time of day." Robinwing stopped and scented the air, searching for prey. Water vole! She thought, and motioned for Leafdapple to be quiet. She stalked slowly and carefully towards the clueless mammal. The vole was running around in a small area, probably looking for seeds to eat. When it stopped to look for predators before eating a few gathered seeds, Robinwing had reached the 'killing zone.' Wait...wait... the vole had just started to stuff it's face with the food it had gathered Now! Robinwing leapt at the poor creature and killed it before it could make a sound. "Everything seems to be out today." She commented to Leafdapple.

Rainfur found it useless to run after the two she-cats, for they were both up and running before he had even finished processing things. He held his head high, and lightly galloped out of camp. He twitched his whiskers in amusement to the two she-cats, actually having more fun watching them bond then have a race with him. Rainfur noticed they were sniffing the air, and felt it right to do the same. He took a deep breath, taking in every scent around him. "So, which border first?" he asked, suggesting that Silvertail could lead.

Leafdapple stood very still as Robinwing caught the water vole. It was a wonderful day for hunting, as she herself then padded up to the river. She comfortably nestled herself close to the water and got her front paws ready. Using her back paws as balance, she swung a paw into the water, snatching a rather large fish in her claws. With her free paw, she made the kill, and tossed that prey to the side. 'Hopefully by the end of today the fresh-kill pile will be completely full...' she thought, as she watched the water for another fish to kill.

Rainpaw yawned, then scratched at an itchy ear. Perhaps a tick, but maybe not. It could've been some itchy moss by her ear last night. Idiot! How could it be that when you fell asleep by the river? Inner Rainpaw nagged.

Robinwing nodded in aproval at Leafdapple's catch. "Nice catch. Fishing sounds like a good idea, I won't bother you though." She purred. Robinwing turned to leave the best hunter in the clan to her work. Maybe farther down the river. I bet there's something I can catch further down by Thunderclan's sunningrocks. She bounded up the river to a shady spot to hide her own shadow from the fish. She reached in and caught a medium sized fish. "Good enough." She thought, and started searching for more.

Shadowkit was playing with a ball of moss, hooking it in a claw and tossing it in the air. "Lightkit look what I can do!" He shouted as the moss hit him in the head.

"Yes, very impressive." Lightkit murmured, falling asleep in a sunny spot. "Don't hurt yourself, either, mousebrain." Sometimes it was boring being a kit. You couldn't go outside the camp. No patrols. "Shadowkit, I'm bored."
Shadowkit turned around to stare at his almost sleeping sister. "Then play with the moss!"

Kit says~

A gray tabby she-kitten with deep green eyes wandered in the forest on the other side of River Clan's river. Starved as she was, for she had been on her own for a month now, looked to be only 6 moons old since she was small for her 9 moons already.

She raised her nose in the air to try and find some food. Instead, she smelled other cats. She was too far to hear the other cats, or for them to hear her, but she headed in their direction with the hope of finding food.

As she got closer, she realized the smell seemed to come from across the river and drew closer to make sure. Excited, she forgot to step carefully and slipped on a spider plant that sent her tumbling into the rushing water.

Robinwing watched the river intently for another fish to swim by. Not many today...only that one I caught and then Leafdapple's...What's that? She thought, seeing a gray, furry shape drift quickly down to where she was. Maybe it's a rabbit! She thought excitedly as she dove into the water. Finder's keepers! As she got closer, she reached out and grabbed a mouthful of fur. The water was obscuring her sense of smell, so she still had no idea what she was carrying exactly. I know it's not crowfood at least. She purred. She reached the shore and dropped her furry package onto the dirt before shaking out her pelt. She leaned closer to the little ball of fur and turned it over, as it was laying on it's side and she couldn't tell what it was at first. "Great Starclan!" She exclaimed. She grabbed the unconcious kitten she had fished out of the river and ran towards camp, forgetting all about her earlier catches. Leafdapple will get them...This is far more important. She burst through the camp entrance and into the medicine cat's den. She set the kit down gently and ran to find someone in camp. "Lightkit! Where's Pebblefoot?!" She was dripping wet and panting, but a kit's life was in danger and there was no time to waste.

Kit says~

The she-kitten regained some consciousness as she was carried and coughed as she struggled to breathe through the water in her lungs. The liquid poured through her mouth and nose as she managed to turn her face toward the ground once she was dropped.

Robinwing heard a cough from Pebblefoot's den. "Hold on, Lightkit." She said over her shoulder while she trotted back into the medicine cat's den. She saw her 'patient' lying facedown in the dirt. She thought quickly and pushed her on her side, so it would be easier for her to breathe. "Can you hear me? What clan are you from? What's your name?" She said careing but loud.

Kit says~

Still struggling to breathe, the kitten fought to speak.
"No clan.." she groaned. Another coughing fit led to slightly easier breathing. She tried to speak again. "Willowkit..." she managed to wheeze out.

Robinwing immidately was suspicious. A rouge? This young? And why does she have a clan name if she's not part of a clan? Robinwing took a few steps back, almost as if she was afraid of this little scrap of wet fur. "Care to explain why you have a clan name, but no clan?" Robinwing was not soft and careing anymore. She was now the Riverclan deputy protecting her clan at any cost.

Kit says~

Another coughing fit broke her concentration and she lay a while, unable to speak. Her stomach heaved and more water spilled onto the ground. Finally, the fit ceased and she struggled to speak again.
"Kittypet parents..." she muttered.
Between more coughing, she mewed in short incomplete sentences that she'd been left in a box by the Thunderpath when she was not even 1 moon. Wind Clan had found her and taken her in, but shortly before she was to become an apprentice, a rogue had found her when she had wandered from camp and knocked her unconscious. The rogue had told her when she woke that he knew about the clans and had meant to find a cat that could hunt for him. Not knowing the way back ((OOC:The rogue had carried her to the area around Morgan's Farm campsite)), she'd been forced to follow the rogue's ways and live with him. One moon ago, the rogue ((OOC:Willowkit had never learned his name)) had gotten into a fight with a badger and lost. Willowkit had run for her life and had to eat crowfood and whatever small prey she could find and catch. Then she had smelled River Clan and fallen in the river.

Robinwing was sceptical. It sounds pretty extraordinary...especially for a kit this young. "Windclan huh? That's a pretty story, but not enough proof for me to buy it." She looked down at the kit with cold eyes.

Kit says~

((OOC: D: I can't think of anything else... I never thought that far through it. ;_; ))

Willowkit sputtered out more water with weakening coughs. Losing the strength to continue the effort of talking, she concentrated on coughing the water out of her lungs. Staring into empty space away from the accusing she-cat, she dwelled on her draining strength.
'I never did have a lot of strength,' she thought mournfully.
