She made it to the fountain. She put her hands on the sides, pushed the button and leaned down.
Whoosh.
There is was again. Dizzy for an instant, then the amazing clarity of feeling in the water on her mouth, the wind gently lifting her hair, the ducks in the nearby lake. The shadow of a passing leaf was before her, there for her to analyze for half a second, and yet imprinted in her memory as clearly as a photo.
Then she was fine. Maybe sicker than before, but fine.

She gripped the edge of the fountain. Okay, so maybe this is something worse than what I thought. Maybe I caught the flu? Highly highly unlikely, but it wasn't unheard of to randomly get sick. She took another sip of water before she decided to go to a cafe of some sort. Anywhere that would sell food. "Maybe I just need some food in my stomach."

That sounded good. She made her uneasy way to the cafe.
She ordered a sandwich and a tea. She sat down. So far, so good.
Then her head hit the table as she blacked out.

She woke up. It was still day, although much later. She was in a patch of trees, back in the park, on the ground. She wasn't sure what had happened.

Wh..what happened? Clarissa looked around but found no one within sight. "I...I had a nap. That must've been it. I had a nap." Who am I kidding? I don't know what's going on! What's wrong with me? She got up with some difficulty and leaned against the tree. Perhaps home was the best place to be. She didn't want to faint again, and being in the park after hours wasn't a good idea.

She was about to move when something behind the tree caught her eye. She leaned closer to look at it.
It was...what was it? It was a strange, purple-black color. Shot through with what looked like veins. The details were interesting...it looked almost decomposed.
Then she saw the shape. It was shaped like a human arm.
She ran from the grove, gagging. But she felt...better than before.

Clarissa ran until she got to the entrance of the park. She stopped to catch her breath. That's it. No more horror stories before bed. It was weird. Normally, she would be disgusted by such a sight...but she couldn't help but remember each detail of the thing. After looking at that...thing...she felt better. She hugged herself. "What's going on with me?" I need to get home. Everything will work out once I get home.

She made it home. Her parents were gone.
She hid herself in her room. Her stacks off books were forgotten. She lost herself in the feeling - she felt GREAT. She felt better than great, she felt the best she'd ever felt. She felt strong, powerful, healthy.
Her arms began to itch. Even that felt great. She felt restless now.

"This is weird, but I don't care." She started to scratch her arms. I haven't felt this good in a long time. I like this feeling. Her arms were still itchy, so she continued to scratch them. I feel amazing! I ought to do something. Something other than read. It was such a disorienting thought, not reading. But she found out that she really didn't care. She felt good and that was all that mattered.
She kept scratching her arms all the way down to her hands. It gave her something to do. She didn't feel like she could stop in any case.

Before leaving the house, she took a small book with her. She never left for anywhere without a book. I'm probably not going to read it, but still... It was a comfort object. She took a shoulder bag and kept her book in there. After getting outside, she started to walk. Walk turned to jog. Jog turned to run. The best place to go running would be back at the park. She let out a laugh; she didn't know what happened, but maybe it was a good thing.

She ran. She ran as fast as she could, exulting in the feeling of life. She felt like she had twice as much life as before.
What she failed to realize was that she was running at over 20 miles per hour. Luckily, it was night, so no one else noticed either.

He stood in the middle of the street near the corner of Nicollet and Lake St. His head had stopped hurting some time ago, but he was still hungry, and somewhat now thirsty. He turned and looked to his left, spotting a seemingly shady looking spot by the name of "Champs". There didn't seem to be anyone there at the moment, so he took the chance and walked over, and into the establishment.
"Can I help you son?" the waitress asked him. But it almost went unnoticed for a moment until he caught himself and saw that she was standing there before him.
"Oh uh... could I have a glass of water? And maybe a burger?"
She gave him a faint smile, worrying slightly but not enough to really make much of a fuss.
"You sure can, just take a seat anywhere here, and I'll serve you right up" she said to him as she turned and disappeared into the back which was obvious that this is where the kitchen was.
Having not really paid much attention to his surroundings, he walked over and took a seat at the bar. With thoughts still running through his head, he lowered his head atop of his hands on the bar, waiting for his beverage and sandwich to arrive.

Kuroi sat at a piano bench, she was trying to think of what to play. She brought out a music sheet and began playing. The walls of the facility that she was at were quite thin, so the music could be heard anywhere around the area. She thought about something while she was playing the song. She couldn't remember what it was. This troubled her deeply. She had no idea what she was trying to think of, and yet, she still tried to remember it.

Sitting at the bar, he hoped that he did not have the rushing feeling again. The feeling of both falling and flying did not settle well with him.
The food arrived. He began eating. In the middle of his bite, the world spun, and he fell into blackness.
He awoke in the darkness. Looking around, he found that he was in a dirty back alley. He felt much better than before, but he had no clue where he was.
In the middle of her beautiful melody, Kuroi was suddenly dizzy. For the first time in a long time, she missed a note, her finger falling onto the wrong key. She stopped playing, hands in her lap.
The feeling faded. She felt rather ill.

Kuroi looked at the piano. How could she have missed a note? It was a song that she commonly played. She lifted her hands up a bit, and saw that they were shaky. "I guess that I caught some sort of disease or something." She said, knowing that it was highly unlikely.
