Alice didn't need to get inside Rade's head to feel her need to attack, but she had no idea how many of them there in the room beyond them and if they were Altered or not. With so many factors and more questions than answers, Alice's eyes trailed over to a broken chair across the room near the door leading into the basement. She had an idea for plan but had no idea if it would work. These guards seemed like idiots and it seemed they had no choice at this point.

Using her telekinesis, the chair lifted into the air silently and floated over to the basement entrance. She let it go right above the first couple steps and the sound of it crashing all the way to the bottom made Alice jump. She barely heard the deep voiced guard yell during the entire process. She waited nervously for the guards to come running out and she prepared to attack.

And the fools did run out, but instead of spotting Rade and Alice on the near wall, they headed straight towards the basement, not even noticing the two standing right behind them. Alice had to choke back a snicker and she looked to Rade and entered her mind again. If they were going to fight these guys, she was sure Rade could do it with her hands tied around her back.

Is that my sign? I'll say it is.

Radé flicked the snap that kept her sword on her back and lifted the weapon easily, turning to Alice and grinning for a split second before she rushed the stairs. If Alice were paying close attention to the ex-merc, she would notice that the other's normally... normal... eyes were slitted like a reptile's and carrying much of the same blood-lust of a hungry predator.

The small girl dashed across the floor and down the stairs in impressive silence, the only evidence of her even going fully down the stairs coming from the cries of the first Institute man that felt the bite of the monstrous sword cleaving through his vital organs. Be the time the other had turned, Radé was finished hacking the first one to pieces with a few impossibly fast sword motions. She turned to face the other, who had drawn a gun and was aiming at her. Too slow, she chimed in her mind as she lunged forward, holding the sword out like a lance. This pierced the man in an instant, before he could manage off a shot.

"Shouldn't be so cocky, girl."

Rade spun, a little astonished to see the man she had sliced up first standing behind her and in one piece, no worse for wear. Her eyes drifted to the meat-chunchs that used to be him and almost groaned out loud. There was no blood to them, she had simply destroyed a decoy and now her sword was kind of stuck in the other guy.

"You gonna tell us where the other one is now? We might take it easier on you if you do... C'mon Radé, you're a merc at heart. Take the deal, it'll be easier for you..."

Rade looked at the Institute's Altered with an inquisitive expression for a moment, taking her hands off her sword and dropping them to her sides like she was giving up. The man grinned, made some noises about her being a good girl and took a few steps towards her. Radé leaned back a little, letting her right shoulder fall back further than the rest of her, her arm still hanging limply, as the predator's grin crept back across her face, "Go ******** yourself."

She snapped her shoulder forward, arm now swinging towards the man who was too stunned to dictate exactly where she was aiming. She slammed her clawed hand into his neck, tightening her grip steadily and chuckling as blood started to pour over her hand from the wound. Blood meant the real-deal, Radé smiled, pulling her hand from his neck and allowing him to finish crumpling to the floor. She retrieved her sword from the other and started for the stairs, turning back to the bleeding Altered on the floor as she walked past him.

"I'm done dealing with you kind. And you all will quickly learn to never deal with a dragon."

Radé ascended the stairs and strapped her sword back up, smiling happily at Alice, "I think it's safe for us to talk again. Unless I missed something?"

((Just for shares: LOL Shadowrun reference in her parting words to the Institute guy.))

A man would be standing on a building acrossed from the institute, a black trench coat covering his body but opened in the front revealing a strong and well built but not to large upper body. This man would be known as Jay, a slight gust of wind would blow a make his trench coat move lightly in the wind. A slight smile would form under the darkness of his hood. Jay could hear alarms going off in the building infront of him and people down below would be running to the safety of their broken homes. A large sword would be on his back, his right hand moved up and grabbed the hilt of this large blade and removed it from its animal skin sheathe. Jay holds it towards the ground and as he would news helicopters would begin to show but they didn't seem like manned news helicopters no they were more like robotic helicopters. He grinned even more as what he was about to do would be televised. Jay swung his large black blade in a horizontal slash but not sending out anything but you would soon hear a shatter of glass windows. The helicopters looked with the cameras only to see most of the windows on the eigth or nineth floor of the building would be shattered. Jay lept from the building, the back of black trench trailing behind him along with the large black sword.

Once inside the institute guards began to gather on the nineth floor, stun battons in hand. He laughed a bit and then when one of them got the guts and charged him he would stab the sword into the floor and knock the batton out of his hand and slam a hard right fist into his jaw. Jay watched as the man went into his friends and making it so they would shock each other. One man got lucky and hit him with a shock batton but he was very unlucky as a back fist would send him flying out the window. Jay watched as the rest of the guards who would be standing rushed him. He quickly kick, punched and reversed the men, he was to fast for these men and they had no chance of defeating him in hand to hand combat. On the last man he charged something into his right palm and blasted it into the man and sent him threw three walls in the process of it. Jay grinned and grabbed the large black blade and lept back out of the institute building. The news copters had got all the footage on camera and had made it televised to whoever owned or could get to a television. He new that the institute would want revenge. Jay had left a note on one of the men that would read, " A new age is coming and the institute will fall!!" He would soon be moving from building at a high rate of speed and soon moved into an open man hole. Jay followed it until he found his dwelling that he made so he could not be found.

Tripp's computer persona turned in silent judgement as alarms started screaming all around him. The system was in turmoil and hurrying to lock down important files on the off chance that they would get hacked by one of the three people off the Institute's grounds that had a computer.

Ironically enough, there was already a hacker inside and he was far superior to the automated security that was coming at him. Tripp's persona waved a hand in front of him and his image wavered for a moment, then was replaced with the generic, high-clearance images of the Institute's own personnel. The masking programme worked beautifully and the security halted in it's tracks, unsure what to do. The moment's hesitation was long enough for Tripp to make another motion, this one slashing horizontally in front of him. Instantaneously, a flash of light cut the security programme's personas in half. They stood for a moment longer, then disintegrated into pixels.

That was the sign to leave, though, Tripp acknowledged as he collected the files he was searching through and saving them to his computer and his headware before covering his tracks and leaving the Institute's main-frame. He took a while to leave a convoluted trail all around the rest of the connected networks and what-not, just to make following him that much more difficult on the off chance that they were able to see his steps after leaving their 'frame.

Tripp pulled himself back into his body and then carefully removed the line from his jack and the computer. He turned off the monstrosity and pulled up the files stored in his personal memory. There was also some security footage that he flicked across his view; some guy with a sword breaking people.

He shook his head, "Not her. There weren't even any files. I must not be looking deep enough..."

Once he almost entered his dwelling he heard something and then looked down the tunnel of the sewer to see some institute altereds and some androids or robots of sorts. " s**t how....." A bullet flew past his face and thats when he began to run. Jay could hear them behind him, he new the only way to take all them on was to get to more of spacious area because his large sword wouldn't do anything in the tiny sewers. Jay saw the next man hole and popped up and out of it, he made his way a few feet away from the man hole. He pulled the large sword out from his sheathe and clicked something on it to make it sperate. Jay slammed the two parts of his now twin swords into the ground and they would soon expand make a large black metal wall around to about the sidewalk. He then watched as they all came out from the man hole. Jay blasted the first one with a ki black to his chest knocking him unconcious but he would get hit slightly by a bullet. He growled and then rushed forward smashing his fist into the next things face and kicked one of the robots heads off its body. Jay began knocking down or destroying each one of his opponents only to hear more coming from down the street. He would soon finish killing off the last one only to see his twin blades shoot back into his hands and about 50 institute people staring him right in the face. " True warrior." Is all he would say as his hair became jet black and look as if it was drenched in water, black flame circles formed on his chest and a white half circle on his forehead and they would begin to glow. Jay was now stronger and faster then he was earlier. He moved his right and left hand and began to shoot ki blasts at them only to have them deflected back at him by some sort of shield. Jay grunted as his own ki hit him. His power could be felt for miles and he didn't expect this large of a force to come after just him.Jay watched the institutes men waiting for them to try and take him down or kill him.

One of the men spoke loud enough for him to hear, " We know who you are and will take you back to the institute for questioning if you resist Jay the iron will Hin Ru we will kill you or take you in by force." The men that was around him aimed guns at Jay now as if showing him they would.

" I doubt you could kill or even take me down stupid institute dog." Jay stood there his hands at his sides, he then removed his black trench coat to reveal his upper body and his facial features along with black jeans and biker boots. His ruby red eyes peered out at the men with no emotion in them.

Tripp pushed the files out of his line of sight with a thought, mildly impressed with the instant reaction of the words vanishing from in front of his eyes and being able to see everything clearly again.

Of course, the point of this exercise was that he thought he had felt something. And be feeling something, that meant a random, unexplainable, pain had shot through his body and it wasn't the beginning of withdrawal attack. So Tripp did the next best thing and booted his 'computer' back up and began tracking the media sources. It was still that guy from before, and he was clearly not with the Institute. That meant it was time for some interference...

Tripp moved part of his computer's slave systems to hashing the signals that told the birds where the others were in the air, the other programmes went off to scramble the radio communications. Tripp himself went after one of the remote birds, jacking it's controls and locking the real pilot out. It didn't take long before Tripp was flying the chopper into the other choppers and basically turning them into giant missals aimed at the Institute's men.

Before crashing the final bird, Tripp printed off a message on the computer of the remote bird and froze it there. He hoped that the piece of tech would survive impact. At least this one seemed sturdier than the others. The chopper smashed to the ground after the others, taking out a nice portion of Institute goons in the process, and by luck of the gods didn't burst into flames. Only problem, Tripp didn't have a view any more.

Jay saw what was happening and moved quickly by blasting a couple of the institute goons with some of his ki blasts whike they were distracted. He saw one of the helicopter computer monitors was still working and saw a message. Jay wondered who had helped him and would like to thank him. He sniffed the air and got the persons faint scent, he moved over to his trench coat and pulled hit back on and put his hood up. Jay used one of his Hin Ru Kin abilities called the bursting hurricane, (( Its like Shunpo in bleach.)) He arrived to where this man would be, he saw a door infront of him and would knock on the door. Jay was intrigued that this man had helped him against the institute troops but he also made sure that the institute didn't follow him to this mans hide out. " Hello is anyone in there?" He would knock on the door again hoping the man could hear him. Jay took a step back from the door as if waiting and hoping for it to open. He also did the step back because he would have more of a chance to dodge anything if this was a trap set for him.

Tripp stood from his computer, conly pulling the jack from the machine and walked to the door. In one of the strangest moments of his entire life, Tripp opened the door for someone he didn't know, and more than just the sliver required to glare at them.

He pulled the door open fully and looked the other man over. A fighter, muscled and what-not. Definitely not the type Radé would associate with, so the chances that man knew about his missing partner was about null. It didn't even cross his mind what image the other guy was getting of him: a 6'4" anorexic ghoul, dark circles under his chrome eyes and wire trailing from behind his ear. His trench coat was somewhere else in the apartment, which left his torso fully exposed since apparently he had lost his shirt in the drugged sleep. All of his ribs were fully visible, along with most of the bones in his body that weren't covered in a thin layer of lean muscle.

Of course, Tripp also didn't care. He stepped out of the door frame and back into his apartment. The fighter would either follow and close the door or leave and Tripp would close the door. Either way, there was about 20 seconds before Tripp closed the door. He waited.

Jay quickly entered the mans apartment, he looked around and only really saw the computer. " I would first like to thank you for your help, also why did you help me? Unless you want something from me then please tell me what I have asked." He moved over to a wall and leaned lightly against it his ruby red eyes gleaming out from the darkness of his hood. Jay crossed his arms over his chest and watched the taller man move away from him. " So I am guessing you do not like the institute either, the only reason I fight them is because they have files on the people who killed my foster family and I want to know the identities of those people." Jays voice would be solemn but would have a slight anger to it. He widened his senses trying to see if anyone else was around or if any institute members were following him somehow. " I hope this place is safe and hard to find because my hideout was found to easily even for the institute. They have some new tech also some new altered because I cold tell one could sense me and the other one could make about a 15 yard barrier." He noticed he was rambling and went quiet and waited for the man to speak.

Alice had turned her head and closed her eyes during Rade's entire massacre. She knew the two men were dead the moment she knew they were still in the house. She had heard a few voices, but things got quiet after a while and Rade returned up the stairs. Alice had no intensions of watching them get slaughtered. She had a hate for the Institute and the people that followed their ways, but she wasn't in the mood to inflict pain onto anyone, including her one enemies.

When Rade spoke, Alice turned her head to face her and opened her eyes. "You didn't miss anything. It's fine now; they're were only two." She didn't know how she was so sure, but for some reason she was positive that the two men who were now deceased were their only challengers. "I think we should try your old place. If Tripp isn't there we can set up and spend the night and I'll tell you everything I know. If he is, we can all catch up." Alice walked past Rade and shut the door leading to the basement, making sure her eyes wouldn't lead down and see the bodies. After the door clicked, she turned and smiled.

Meeda looked around the street quietly. It was only mid day, but people were already retreating to their homes for the day. The Institute had started sending out teams each day to search homes and such for Altered. No one wanted to be caught outside in the midst of on of these searches, or they thought they would seen suspiciouse. Meeda herself felt a little nervous. Though that may have been the fact that she asctually was an Altered. Her hands clenched at her sides and she glanced into the clear sky. A shadow passed over the sun, giving her a feeling of calm. It was Serris, her falcon companion. Serris would defend her to the death. Not that that was much of a consolation. Serris was a good fighter as raptors went, but against as many Institute members as there would be if she was discovered, it wouldn't do much. Meeda found herself wondering if she would be killed. A small shiver ran down her spine and she wandered down a back alley. She would need to get home soon... Home to Retribution. But she was here looking for information, hopefully a layout for the Institute's lower levels, their secret levels. Not that people didn't know what they did in that building. Only the most clueless of the humans didn't know. The Institute wasn't trying to cover theirselves as well. As she stood quietly Meeda thought she heard something. Looking at the streets she saw someone casually stroll past the opening of her alleyway. She knew, almost from instinct, that it was an Institute member. Several others past her before one took notice of her. They cocked their heasd to the side, almost as if wondering if she was worth interrogating. Apparently she was. He made his way closer.
"Miss? May I ask what you are doing back here?" Meeda clenched her hands tighter, the gloves feeling heavy and scratchy. Above her on a fire escape she heard talons scraping metal as Serris settled down to watch the encounter.
"I... think I'm lost sir. You see I'm not in this part of town often..." She played her role well... Helpless young girl. Though helpless she most certainly was not. The man rose an eyebrow and took a deep breath as he though. A pretty young woman randomly at the back of an alleyway wasn't normal. Something about this was wrong.
"Miss... I think I'm gonna have to ask you to come with me." She heard Serris moving on the fire escape rail, sensing how she was becoming nervous. Meeda shook her head.
"I'm not going anywhere." She asserted, leveling her saphirre eyes on his. He almost seemed to smile. His hunch had been right. He pulled a gun from his belt. Meeda wondered quietly if they were bullets or tranqualizer darts. She also wondered if she had to kill him. If she didn't, then news of her would spread and people would be searching for her. Brushing back her long wavy brown hair she then removed her gloves, tucking them into the waistband of her jeans. It looked like this was gonna turn into a fight.

"Alrighty then," Radé grinned easily and made her way for the door, "If it's all the same to you, I'll suggest walking there. Flying is faster, sure, but I am in no way subtle." She laughed a little at herself as they left the building, making their way to where her apartment hopefully still stood.

It would be a long walk, unfortunately, full of hiding from Institute prowlers and other threats. Anymore, even the human gangers were becoming threats to Altered out alone. If the Altered didn't have strong powers or fighting ability or ability to run the ******** away, gang-bangers were starting to do their damage to the poor people. Radé shook her head slightly as she scouted ahead. At least she and Alice seemed to be able to defend themselves. Or run away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tripp stood in silence for a moment, weighing the effects of speaking. It had been a long time since he had spoken to someone, but there wasn't a whole lot of other choice right now. Too bad this confrontation couldn't have happened through a computer link or something... Then everything would be easy.
"...th-they sh-shouldn't...be a-able to find m-me... here... t-tracers k-killed... E-EMP... u-unknown soft-software" Tripp's ice-cold gaze drifted from the other man. It was impossible to maintain eye-contact while he was talking to anyone other than Radé... and in recent events, Alice, interestingly enough. "h-help... again-against In-institute..."
Jay looked at the man with his ruby red eyes and would then speak, " So I take it you are a cyborg huh? Well yeah I will help against the institute as long as I find who killed my famiy in the process. Also if you are looking for anyone I might be able to find them, I mean since you helped me I could help you." He would say with a slight shrug of his shoulders. Jay reamained in the same position as he had been because he didn't want to move quite yet. He watched the taller man with his eyes making sure he wouldn't go for any type of weapon.
Alice also studied the area as they went on their way. Most of the time was spent in silence; talking and wasting breath was foolish and both Rade and Alice knew this. The less they talked, the faster they could go and the more energy they would have. At least, that's what Lance had told her as a kid. Thinking about Lance and the past made her cringe and they ran and Alice shook the thought out of her head. She couldn't let her mind trail back to old memories, no matter how nice they seemed and how much they comforted her. Lance was out to kill her now; her brother from when she was a child was dead.
When they came around a sharp corner, Alice's feet stopped immediately and she put a hand out to stop Rade. A row of buildings was before them and standing on the side of the street near an alley was a group of Institutes. They seemed occupied with something, and Alice did what her instincts told her: she entered the mind of the nearest one. Rade and Alice were a whole block away from the enemies, but Alice still didn't want to chance getting caught, so she stepped around the side of the building, but peered around the corner, keeping her gaze on the nearest Institute man.
His thoughts were read quickly and Alice let his mind go and looked to Rade. "They've got an Altered girl over there. She might need some help." Although she knew that the smart thing to do would be to head in a different direction and leave the girl to her doom, Alice felt the need to help and she hoped Rade would feel the same way. "We need to help her." Alice said, peering around the corner and counting the guards. "I think there are 6 or 7 of them, so we're out numbered, but we can't just leave her. What do you think?"
Madlax was, bored, lonely, tired, pissed, but that was the upside of today, nothing would be worse than trooping through sewage and dead bodies looking for a man who couldn’t die? Fighting a man who couldn’t die. Oh, but he could die but, only after you rip his head off tear his heart out and burn the remains then, carry the still beating lab so that the doctors and scientists could look at it. Why am I there dogboy? she wondered Oh yeah, blowing s**t up really isn’t all that cool after you watch it for a long time. Madlax sighed and walked down the hallway to her room. “The institute is good though, they kept his heart to use for further testing.” she said to herself, repeating what Madlax had said to her group. “All that matters is that we fix the world.” she added now almost to her room. The man had scratched the ******** out of her shoulders and neck. If it scarred she might have to go shoot the heart herself because she hated scars, even though she had a shitload. Madlax slid into her room and sighed “Finally, I need a shower.” she added still speaking to herself. Madlax peeled off her bloodstained clothes and walked to her shower with a gun in hand. Madlax kept a gun with her at all times, it made her feel more human. but, I’m not human. she thought sadly before slipping into the heat of her shower.
