Ginger managed a small smile as she looked up at him, “Oh, I’m sure he will…one day” she knew that was very unlikely to happen but it was always better to think positively, “My mother will be very excited to see him when he does”
Ginger pawed nervously at the ground, as she suddenly felt very awkward. She shouldn’t have lied to him but she knew being lost was her own problem that she had to deal with, but maybe asking for help wasn’t such a bad idea? “Umm… you haven’t seen a family like mine around here have you? Only, I think I might be a little lost”

Jet raised his ears in surprise, and stood hurriedly when she asked if he had seen her family. "I don't believe I have," he said. He didn't remembering seeing other Varg on his way here. "But I can help you look, if you want."
He padded over to a tree and nosed it lightly, trying to catch a scent, without waiting for a reply. She asked because she wanted his help, right? "How long have you been lost?" he asked.

Ginger felt embarrassed, and didn’t move as he started to look for their scent “Oh, not long…well, nearly two days ago I think” she sighed as she could hear her stomach grumbling, hoping desperately that he hadn’t heard that. Finally she trotted over to the tree he was sniffing, “I’m sure they’re looking for me Jet”

Jet paused, shocked. That long? And they still haven't found each other? Did they have a fight, or something? Or did they think she disappeared, just like her father did, and didn't search for her for very long?
"What did you eat?" was all Jet managed to asked, surprise still evident on his face. He heard her stomach growl and frowned slightly, even more so when she came over to him.
"Yeah...." he nodded uncertainly, unsure of what she meant. "I'll help you look for them." he repeated.

Here we go, she’d clearly shocked him and he was going to start stressing over her. She knew she should have kept her mouth shut, “I…Not much. I found some berries but that’s about it. Please don’t worry about me Jet, I know my mother will find me soon”
She sat down and sniffed lightly at the tree, “Though, if you could help me find some food I’d be more then grateful” she smiled up at him, hoping to take his mind off the search for her family.

Jet stilled, listening in what he hoped was a patient demeanor. Again, he wondered if some sort of fight had been involved. Wouldn't pups usually, like... demand help that his or her parents be found? Blood-ties were valued, after all.
Well, at least she seemed calm enough, he finally decided, sighing. He was saddened to hear of her predicament, and glad that she wasn't picked off by other Putnar. "Well," he started, sitting and scratching at an ear nervously. "I don't think I'm a good enough hunter to get you enough food." he admitted, then continued quickly, lest she dwell on the fact. "But if you could follow me back to the den, I can ask Loopy or Rag to get something for you." he offered.

Ginger yipped with excitement, leaping forward and licking at his muzzle gratefully “Oh thankyou thankyou thankyou! I don’t know what I would have done without you Jet” she stopped suddenly and took a step back awkwardly, realising how crazy she may have just seemed; but she really had begun to lose hope and his offer had roused her spirits, “Do you think Loopy and Rag will mind?” she asked softly.

Startled, Jet yelped when he was pushed back, shaking himself once Ginger had backed away. Suddenly, he burst out laughing. It was so unexpected, what she did, and he pawed her reassuringly, because she looked worried.
"I doubt they'd mind at all. Especially Loopy." Jet said, rolling his eyes at the thought of the male. Then, realizing Ginger's sudden burst of gratitude was a sure sign that she was hunger that she let on, he started back towards the den at a quick pace, making sure Ginger was following. He paused mid-stride, wondering if he was going too fast for her, and shifted uncomfortably, uncertain as to how fast he should go.
The fast they went, the faster food would come. But it might be too much for Ginger, and he didn't want to go on ahead, as she didn't know the way, and who knew what would happen if he left her alone? Finally, he just decided to go with a slow pace, and speed up if it looked like Ginger could handle it.

Loopy yawned lightly as he stepped out of his den. His ears perked up as the wolf searched around with his eyes. How odd... Jet hadn't been in the den, but he didn't seem to be around. Where was he?" The kerl shook himself and started for the edge of the clearing. "Jet? Where are you, squirt?" He frowned before wagging his tail as he found his oldest son's scent. He pranced forward into the brush until he found Jet. Loopy ran forward to nuzzle him before pausing as he noticed the young female at Jet's side. "Oh? And who is this?"

Ginger trotted along behind Jet, occasionally stopping briefly to sniff things as they past.
As the adult male approached Jet she made herself smaller at his side, mostly out of respect but also since she wasn't sure if this was Loopy or Rag, and didn’t want to intrude.
"I'm Ginger" she whispered, looking up at him with wide innocent eyes and a small smile, "Nice to meet you sir"

"We're her--" Jet was about to announce, but was suddenly cut off when Loopy appeared at his size, nuzzling him. He greatly enjoyed the attention, and the fondness he knew Loopy held for him, as it was a great improvement to which is blood-parents treated him. Still, he wouldn't admit it.
"Loooooppy." he whined, pawing at Loopy's face, as if he disliked the nuzzling. He stepped away from Loopy, closer to the female, and was about to say her name when she spoke. Her voice was small, and quiet, but it was audible.
"What she said." he said, nodding.
