Mirrored Reflections [PRP]

"If I had that attitude...I would not be here at all."

"Here on this rock, or here in existence?"  

[sunchaser9000]

Candramus smiled faintly, "Both. I serve the creators, and should I decide not to, I am unsure what would happen. Perhaps my own family would come to try and convince me to behave. I do not know, nor do I care to find out. I am fairly content as things are."  

[divena]

"Well, so long as you're content," Zulimar nodded slightly. Then she frowned as the wording sank in. "Are you happy, though?"

"Some days I am. Though most days I am not. It feels as if I am missing something from my life...A mirror without anything to reflect has no purpose..."  

[divena]

"Mirrors are always reflecting. Maybe you're not not looking to see what they hold."  

[sunchaser9000]

"Perhaps. Or perhaps there is no one standing in front of my mirror."  

[divena]

"So look behind it."  

[sunchaser9000]

"You are optimistic. Why?"  

[divena]

She shrugged. "I don't know. I suppose I like to hunt for the silver lining. It's a challenge and when you have a challenge, things stay interesting. It's too easy to just wallow in self pity and bemoan about how horrible things are. But if you can find the good, the bright, the optimistic... that helps. Hmm... did any of that make sense?"

"Strangely, yes. Perhaps the silver lining that I have come to today is meeting you, Zulimar. One who is so enlightened that she enlightens a servant of the gods."  

[divena]

"I wouldn't call myself enlightened," she smiled lightly at him. "But thank you. Glad I could brighten your day. Sort of."

"It is already brighter than I anticipated, despite the dark and stormy clouds which brew overhead."  

[divena]

"Do you like storms?" she asked, changing the topic quickly. She wasn't bored with the conversation, or even uncomfortable. It just seemed like a natural change for her.  

[sunchaser9000]

"I do. They are turmoil in nature. I find it a relaxing reminder that all is not perfect, nor should it be."
