" I know. Mom wanted me to 'expand' and stuff but...Really. Clue gets really old, really fast. plus, how do you play it when you're alone? " She sighed, used to her mother's antics. At least she'd gotten to keep her rubix cubes. they were like her babies. Even if she could solve them record fast.
Brushing away some of the crumbs, Leonette flopped onto her back. "Sooooo....just pick a game? Not many in there but, hey, time to build a collection you know?"

After a few moments of contemplation and digging Marit has sufficiently turned over every single box and tub and finally decided upon Scrabble. Her vocabulary was just as good as Leonette's, and while it required strategy it didn't require prodigy. (Marit wasn't a sore loser or anything, but she'd like to stand at least snowball's chance.)
It was a long game naturally, made longer by the fact that the two of them had an unwritten 'use-the-most-obscure-word-possible' war going on. And they constantly had to go to the Official Scrabble Dictionary in indignant attempts to prove one another wrong. Which worked to varying degrees. (For instance Zebu was spelled with a z, not an x, much to Marit's chagrin.)
By the end they were fairly well locked in a stalemate. Neither of them had any idea how to form a new word with the letters x, h, i, j or f.

"I'd say we're out of the game." Tallying up points, Marit had won. She usually did at scrabble. But that was okay by Leonette. She tended to win at other things. Plus the cookies had been eaten so she was no longer tempted.
Yawning, she started to pick up the pieces of the game. It was late, and school started tomorrow morning, as it always did.
"Ugh, I'm ready for bed. See you tomorrow?"

Marit pumped a fist in the air in victory. Though still wishing she could have found at least one more word. She hated just leaving things open like that.
She plucked up the game pieces on her side of the board and started tossing them in the bag. "Ooh, now you're trying to get rid of me, huh?" She stuck out her tongue but at the same time stretched her arms wide with a sympathetic yawn. "Iii see how it is." She did, she really did. It was late, and she couldn't afford missing class in the morning. "I'll talk to you later then~" As she stood up and headed for the door she took a glance back over her shoulder, "Try not to get stuck again before then!"
