Well, i think they should make more Zombie movies. I mean, there are some good ones but still, you can never have enough zombie movies. My personal favorites are 28 days, and 28 weeks later, and dawn of the dead. Classic.

The zombies in 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later aren't real zombies! Neither are the ones in the Dawn of the Dead remake. Unlike real zombies, the infected in the aforementioned movies possess some sort of higher cortical function that allows them to hunt humans. Moreover, they exhibit fluidity of motion. They can run, jump, climb and quickly change direction, activities that real zombies are incapable of performing.

Sorry, but I'm a purist. I like my zombies slow and shambling, which is why I prefer Romero's films. I just finished my collection by purchasing Dawn and Day of the Dead last night. Romero truly is a genius. He achieves maximum impact with minimum effort, and each of his films features an underlying layer of social satire.

@NoLifeKing66: Sir, you may have become one of the best people I know xd . A shambling Zombie frightens me more only because it seems like it could happen. Sure a zombie doesn't know when to stop because of the nerves not functioning and the lack of sensations of pain. However, not knowing when to stop is not the same as "HOLY CRAP. This virus has made these human beings TANKS of formidable strength that would put world champion sprinters to shame!"

According to Max Brooks, only very few zombies are coordinated enough to climb, move faster than walking speed, or swim (I think swimming for zombies is basically being bloated enough to float which is a pretty frightening thought in itself xp .)

Go Zombie Puritans!

@Xjioh: Every fad dyes out, though zombies don't I've noted. Zombie hype tends to go into hibernation, but always seems to return with vigor. And there are always those die-hard fans of EVERYTHING that will not drop something just because it isn't "popular" anymore. I've like Zombie stuff since I was little, and have attended every Zombie Walk I've been able to get to since I was old enough to drive xd . Call me a Die-hard fan if you will 3nodding .

I prefer the shuffling zombies, as well. The ones that run tend to be simple and easy to kill and next thing you know you have a room full of nameless bodies. The shuffling zombies normally take several bullets to a whole clip to dispose of because they only have one or two weaknesses. Then you're left with a single body that you can stare at and wonder who that was before they were damned. Always an interesting aspect I ask myself when playing zombie games.

I agree in the fact that the hype can die, I never lose my interest, I have the crappy Resident Evils even though I hate them. (I play them, too, occasionally) I'm not as die hard as you but I do like to think of myself as something of a zombie zealot. XD I'm just saying a progressive approach to zombie movies and gaming is a better idea, gives the creators more time to think about the game and not their pockets.

I liked his idea of zombies wandering around the bottom of the ocean and surfacing randomly.

Well, Romero's movies do have a distinct and overall great horror feel, i still feel more attracted to the move really fast kind of zombies. I dont know why, but the fact that the zombies have to hunt down their prey makes it more dynamic.
And if the Zombie Apocalypse ever does happen (which it will!) i will get on here and find you guys. You people are the smartest people i know when it comes to Zombies.lol
