He appreciated her gesture and the genuine conviction in her words, there were times when an individual uttered such phrases without fully understanding the weight of them. She had long since proven she was entitled to his respect the mare had indeed secured such regard in the manner she handled this information. He made no further attempts to elaborate as this was unnecessary, nor did he opt to express his gratitude as there were times when it was better to hold silent. If he were to accept such musings he would be accepting pity in some obscure form and that would be inappropriate to those who had perished.
"I will make myself easy to find," He responded at last, his lips pursing as he roughly translated her query and nodded. He would make sure to leave obvious tracks, at the very least he would ensure various creatures were aware of his whereabouts in case they were asked. He doubted she would need his assistance at all, she was well versed in her practice but he could recognise a need to be safer than sorry. He would be able to return to Raniero and inform him that Marut was perfectly safe but he suspected the news would be better received with the added reassurance that Azzinoth was on call should any matters arise.
A tiny part of him smiled within, it was always amusing to see the father's get so ruffled. In a manner of speaking he envied the companionship they had, it seemed rather pleasant the vast majority of the time...

Ardia nodded.
'It's appreciated should the need arise.' she said, wondering what he would do now. The inspection seemed to be over, and they had covered all the ground they needed to. Not that she was tiring of his company, he was mature, and well spoken, which was a change from speaking to her daughters. As much as she loved them, they weren't her age, and it was nice to be able to converse with someone who knew what they were doing in life.
'So you'll be heading back to speak with the father then, let him know I'm capable, and not some green mare pretending she knows what she's doing?' Ardia gave a small wink, betraying her own maturity for a moment.

"Most certainly," Azzinoth confirmed her suspicions relatively quickly. He hadn't intended to take so much of her time away, but he had a job to do and preferred to do things properly. He had needed to ascertain whether or not the mare was capable - luckily she was. It would give him great pleasure to return to Raniero and bestow upon him the news that his mate would be perfectly safe from harm. Ardia was perfectly adept at her job and to bolster his claims, he would give assurances that he would be at the midwife's disposal should he be required. Granted he would make certain to stress that this would be an unlikely event but perhaps the knowledge that he would be around would prevent any further protests.
If there was one thing that Azzinoth had learnt, it was that Raniero always had a valid point to make. He would protest given half a chance and frankly, Azzinoth had no intention of providing him with that opening. Logical and sound of mind as Raniero might have been, impending fatherhood had sent him off his rocker just a touch and a worrywart was beginning to develop within!
"It will be with great pleasure that I inform him of your suitability," he gave a slight bow of his head in response to the mare and flashed a small smile, one that gave his features considerable youth. "However I will not keep you for any longer," he cleared his throat and with that spun on his hoof. "I will make certain I am easy to contact on the day, until then, I wish you well..." Lapsing into the silence, the stallion began to place distance between himself and the mare. There was no reason to prolong the encounter and to be perfectly honest, he was fairly certain she wouldn't enjoy being stood out in the cold for much longer either...

'It was nice meeting you.' Ardia called after him, before turning on her own hooves and heading back into the Village. The warm air near the large fire in the centre was calling loudly now.
