no you are pretty spot on.
I agree, I agree on just about everything you said. I just dont think that seriously criticizing modern consumerism, and media, is so much a trend... sure the whole "******** the system" mentality is. that all comes from the desire to be the next rebel boi, the next James Dean or some s**t. But there are alot of people, (I would hope I am qualified to be included in this) seriously research popular culture, social norms, media intrusion, commodity fetishism, and all around capitalist construct c**k suckery. and they criticize it in a reasonable and articulate manner.
The only issue one might have with actually trying to change all this is how can you honestly say you would rather live in a world without all this cool a** s**t?
i personally could discard most if not all of it with little regret but I'd be hard pressed to find more than five or six other people i know who would be willing to do the same. Cool s**t is just too cool to let go.

Wow! Logical thought out arguments. Honestly, wasn't expecting that. Just trying to put a smile of some of your faces. I was under the impression that red suspenders pointed someone out as a racist. If I am wrong, sorry guys.
