Of course you'd have the cute curtains and a cute curtain to cover the closet, you could even use the same stuff you used for the windows.

My idea adds a trunk at the foot of the bed for more storage, a nightstand, a trash can and lights. I like the bed as the centerpiece, hence the idea for a mini chandelier above the bed too! But you might want to think about something without that kind of back on the side of the bed, just a head and food board would be better. The room you have isn't very friendly to the kind of bed you have in the picture... there's no one blank wall to but the back up against, otherwise your covering up windows. I do love the drawers in the bed frame though, that is awesome.

Wow! This looks awesome! As for the back of the bed, im building it so it doesnt have to have a back on it ^^ We're going to be building the bookshelf too, and now we're adding a trunk! Lol He built that one in the first set of pictures, so I know a simple chest wont be hard for him to help me with, also, It means all my furniature will match! Today im home from work, not feeling to whippy. The new stress diet my dr. put me on is making me sick. Im not supposed to lose weight, its just supposed to keep me eating right (veggies and a certain amount of ect ect... 16 cups of water a day, YUCK!) But then the pills they put me on (8 a day x.x) has made me lose 7 lbs since monday which puts me under my weight catagory. (Being 5'9'' 129 lbs isnt very healthy) So they are force feeding me gross food lol. But as soon as im able to get up and around today I plan on painting the walls. ^^ Good job Alpha Drug, that layout is awesome! Probably going to use it! Ill send you your reward soon! <3 Thank you so much!

And thank you to mouse too! You'll get something to, just for trying to help. You guys rock so much!

The canopy was a good idea.

I really love open floorplans, so I came up with this

I'm opposed to putting a daybed like that. Daybeds are supposed to have the long end up against a wall, and I think it's pretty to have a bed right against a window.

You could easily make a half-curtain for the closet area so you won't hide that awesome drawer set. I really like the idea of a miniature chandelier and I also like the idea of the canopy. I say do a cream or white or blue canopy over the bed and a chandelier over the desk/chest.

Edit: lol I forgot to draw in the lamp. I'd do a standing lamp between the chest and the bed so you could read in bed and not have to get up to turn the light off (if you're like me)

The canopy is a really cool idea. You could still do it, but I'd suggest something very sheer since it'll be infront of a window.

Aww! Feel better. <3

And if you get lazy with the building, Target has this awesome brand called Re-style. They sell really functional storage type furnature, my girlfriend and I have a TON of their stuff in our room to help keep us organized. Really cute square stuff. We got white, but it comes in pink, dark blue, white, and faux wood. We went with white to help open up the room.

I'm totally in the re-arrange-the-bedroom mood. Just before you posted yours, we rearranged our bedroom completly, kinda to fit in a really nice new TV and its huge. XD

P.S. I'm watching Dr. Horrible on it right now. Score!

Yeah the canopy was a good idea but I dont know if Ill use it or not.. its a pretty small room, and I think too much clutter will just make it smaller.. I have a canopy though. ^^

As for building it, He's already started on it lol. He loves projects like this, because he used to build houses.

As you can tell from his look, I dont think he was ready for a lolita makeover. He's a good sport about it though! He's been my friend since I was like, 12 lol. Kind of like an uncle ^^

He threw a fit about me taking his picture lol but he got me back, as I fell asleep. (nap time was apprently right that second)

. . .I so didnt get as much as I would have liked done but randomly through the day my body decided it was nap time. SO.... All I got done really was a few walls painted and that horrible bed out of there finally.. The neighbor took it, she said she really liked it.. -cough cough- Anyhoo.. I found a good mirror in my storage unit that I had forgotten about, so that will be good.. Also, I made an pleasant discovery about the floor! Sorry this is so short.. im going to crawl to the couch and sleep until work tomorrow ;_;

Awesome! Way to stick to your guns, that room's gonna kick butt! I think the yellow is perfect too. It's cutesy, but still kinda old-fashioned and grown up.

You got lucky on that floor. It's going to look quite nice.

I think it looks awesome so far and CONGRATS on the wood floor, with just a little bit of oil wood floor care it should look amazing!!

Have you found a good rug yet? Target has some cute plush area rugs that aren't too big. I got a purple shag rug for my room untill I redid it and had to change it to a shorter blue one. They're pretty cheap too.

. . . I have a rug but I dont want to be yelled at! Lol Its real fur, but it was a gift so dont hate me! Its New Zealand sheep. >.> Also, thank you all for your encouragement! The wood floor has some bad spots, as its been under crap carpet since 1983 XD .. But Im going to light sand everything and get it up and shining like it should be! Thats tonights project! You all can expect a lot of updates this weekend, I hope.. If everything goes as I want it to. I do really like the yellow, at first, when I painted the closet, I thought it was going to be too yellow, but now that I have it on there, I really like it! Please feel free to keep making suggestions! Alpha drug, I really liked your chest Idea but I dont know if we're going to get to it, however, your idea gave me another. On the footboard of the bed, we're going to put built in shelves. ^^ This is just a rough MSpaint sketch, but something like this...

That's a nice shelf there. I hope it turns out as nice at the design.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I think sheepskins are lovely and make great carpets. Mine's on my bed because I can't have a throw rug in my room.
