Twilight Chaser didn't really listen to what the new doe was saying when she woke up. He was looking at her, but he wasn't looking at her so her mostly whispers to herself did not even strike his radar. He was consumed by by the hair in his mouth, chewing on it now. The fact she was awake didn't seem to phase him. His twin, Twilight Dancer, not being as focused on pursuit as her other half, noticed she was awake.
"Chaser," she said before grabbing the hair from her brother's mouth. "It woke up."
They both stared at the doe in the bush with a look that surely said "why do you sleep here?" before they looked back to each other. Twilight Dancer hugged up against her brother, nuzzling her head to his neck. Their patterns made a large sky pattern in front of the unknown doe. Into Twilight Chaser's ears, Twilight Dancer whispered, "Should we still eat her?"

Jealousy furrowed Mists's brow as the female sky moved closer to the male sky. She felt her heart beat quicken as she watched in irritation.
Why were there two? Why were there two that looked so much alike? Why did so many skies fall, this day?
She thought and thought and could only come up with one conclusion. He was the Dawn Sky and she was the Twilight Sky. She was ignoring the order of things and bypassing the Night Sky to steal the Dawn Sky away from Mist.
Mist was the Morning Sky, closer to the Dawn than this female. She was the other side of the night, pretending to be the same as him so she could be closer.
A little noise escaped Mist and she shook her head, still trapped in the bush. She suddenly realised what they were doing and lifted her head to face them.
"If you eat me the morning will be dark."

Twilight Dancer only continued to nuzzle her brother as the caught doe furrowed her brows in jealousy. Who was to stop her from being close to herself? Certainly not this doe.
"She heard us," Twilight Chaser said to his twin, "Should we stop?"
His twin nodded, it probably wouldn't be very good on their stomachs to eat something conscious anyways. Especially not one who was trying to use strange sentences to convince them not to. She probably had a swamp bug, and they certainly didn't want to catch it.
"It's already bright," Dancer said.
"If we ate you, it would not change." Chaser said.
But if they didn't eat her, something else would. They'd leave her and then she'd still be stuck here, dinner on a bush. Ready and unable. The twins looked at each other, furrowed their own brows and then began to clear away the vines that were tangled over the doe. They couldn't eat her, but they couldn't allow someone else to. If they couldn't have her, no one else could.

She was confused as to why they were releasing her, but she wasn't going to object. Of course, she had no real intention of thanking them, either.
She stood silently, her eyes, for the more part, remaining glued to the Dawn Sky, not sparing even a single glace for his female counter-part.
He didn't seem to react very much to her closeness, but Mist wasn't sure what that meant. She had felt an immediate connection to the buck, but... What was it?
She sighed, they were both so beautiful.
What was this feeling?
"Love." she began, to nobody in particular as the pair removed the offending vines, "The sight of you..." she continued. Love at first sight, she felt. But with no real idea or understanding of love, how could that be true? No matter what it really was, she decided it was True Love.

Twilight Chaser gave Clouded Quartz a firm look. A look that said, no matter how you feel me, I will never love you. Instead he saved that look for Twilight Dancer, or his reflection. Love. He only loved himself after all. Besides, from what he could tell, this doe was jealous of Twilight Dancer, didn't even look at her. How could she only love one half of himself? He played dumb, gave a look to Twilight Dancer, she played dumb too. Maybe they could still get some fun out of it. They finally freed the doe of the vines, however, she was still caught by her hair.
"Love?" Chaser questioned.
Twilight Dancer worked on unhooking her hair from the bush. Tediously she began to pull at the hair with her mouth, softly bushing against Clouded Quartz as she did it. She worked her way around, unhooking all the hair bit by bit and just before she was done she softly nipped at the other doe's ear before stepping away.
"She's free," Dancer said to Chaser. "She tastes good."

Mist was patient. Silent. Confused. She had decided she loved the Dawn but she didn't know what she wanted from it. She knew, at that moment, that she certainly didn't want Twilight, but...
She felt a body against hers and remained still. When the Twilight Sky crossed her path her eyes were redirected to it instead of the other. She had been so fluffy when she brushed against Mist. She shook her head a little, clearing her mind of the thought.
She was being seduced by the wrong Sky. Mist intended to move as soon as she was free but when her ear was nipped she froze in place, instead. Her pale eyes returned to the female sky and she stared for a moment before turning to the male sky, her thoughts dominated by the pair in front of her.
"Love." she stated firmly, her gaze no longer focused on just one of the two. "Are the skies becoming one?"
"What is the name of Love?" she asked most curiously, glancing back and forth between the two Skies.

The twins looked at each other and grinned. Then they both looked at the foreign doe with their glowing blue eyes. She was free, however their prey had not run away yet. Instead it chose to stare back at them, as if waiting for them to attack. Which was all right with them in theory. The doe didn't say much, but it seemed she was now referring to them as Love. It was not their name though, and they had always been one. What a silly creature.
"One." Dancer said.
"Always." Chaser said.
They paused, so that their sentences did not blur together.
"Twilight," they both said.
"Dancer," Dancer said. "Chaser," Chaser said.
"Does our meal have a name?" They both asked.

Mist's eyes twinkled, whether a reflection of the Skies before her or her own stars was left to be decided. "Love" she began to say, but stopped. She couldn't be Love, they were Love.
"Mist." she mused, her eyes glancing to the side as if in deep thought, "Clouded Quartz. But Mist."
How could they both be Twilight, she wondered. Weren't they Dawn, as well? They could be both. They were both. They were both Love, after all. They could be both Skies as well.
Mist was enamoured. She was mostly speechless, unsure of what to say in their presence. So instead she simply asked the most obvious question.
"Why am I a meal?"

They were pretty still, constantly watching the doe before them. If one took their eyes off her, the other kept them on her. One would look around for other predators and then one would watch their prey. They would often change positions in perfect sync. It was probably predatory instinct that caused them to do this, or the fact that together they formed a vast sky that held sights of everything below it, always seeing.
"Well then, Clouded Quartz," Chaser begun.
"You are a meal because you are delicious," is what Dancer finished.

Shaking her head, Mist moved some steps away from the bush, weary of being trapped once more.
There was a longing in her eyes that couldn't entirely be explained. One that was deep rooted, causing her to forget her initial jealousy. Not only could she not remember it, she wouldn't've understood it, anymore.
After Twilight Dancer forced her presence to be known to her, Mist couldn't imagine not having her, either.
How strange and fickle they were- these things called emotions. To a doe like Mist, something that would never be understood. Something that she could name but be wrong about.
Finally she spoke. "What," she began, "do I taste like?" she finished, her eyes trailing back and forth over the two Skies.

The twins looked at each other for a long time, Dancer's eyes reflecting straight into Chaser's. How would they explain her taste? It was delicious, but what would explain it more entirely? Was it a ripe fruit from the highest branch? Or a sun-sweetened snake? Maybe their tastes were very strange and she tasted more like a rotten fruit than a ripe one? She probably would be offended if they said that though.
"You taste like a moonlit flower." It was unknown which of them said this, but they paused before continuing. "The sundew closed tightly inside it's petals from a long day. It tastes warm of sun, soft and smooth of a petal with a seasoning of the moon's allure."

Mist's pink hide seemed to glow even more pink at their words. She took a single step towards the pair, staring quite intently at them.
"What words, Love, the Sky speaks." She referred to them both, of course, "But..."
She seemed to trail off, to forget what she was going to say as she stared at the two of them.
Ah, she remembered. "...I am not a meal."

The twins furrowed their brows. How could she lie to them! She was a meal! One of the most delicious they have ever set eyes upon. Oh they would not share. That's why they set her free, surely, she'd run away if anyone other than them tried to consume her. Right? She objected so much to them trying then anyone else must be impossible.
"Will you run away then if we try to eat you?"
"A little nibble here, a little tug there, what's a harm?"
"You are a meal."
"No one elses."
"Ours," they both said.

She smiled to herself, so nobody else could bear witness.
"The Morning Sky belongs to Love." she whispered. "If you will have it."
Mist frowned suddenly, her posture becoming rigid. "If Love will be the Morning Sky's."

"No love," they said.
The two creatures looked at the doe and then in another direction, nodding to her and then pointing their noses back into that direction. They were leaving, and she was coming with them for a "walk", so to say. Whatever happened after that would stay on the walk. They would bug her some more and then probably leave, but they'd make sure she knew that no one else could have her. "Come," and then they started walking into the direction of the sun, one looking forward and one looking back at her to make sure she was following them.
