Actually, I couldn't decide who would play Ulla and that was the deciding factor. XD (Although with some thought now, Jehan/Fantine... is strange...)

Interesting indeed. What about Phantom of the Opera? Certain characters to me wouldn't go with some. Like I don't think I could compare anyone with the phantom just because he is so different and such...you get what I mean. sweatdrop

Madame Giry - Fantine
Hmm... That's all I can come up with. There aren't nearly enough named females in Les Mis to account for the roles there are in Phantom.

As for Javert playing the Phantom *SHUDDER*
After reading a passage from Susan Kay's Phantom, that...disturbs me.
There is a gypsy in there named Javert. And he's...well...I cannot say.
It'd probably work, but it just scares me.

Raoul and Marius are, like, practically the same person. I mean, take Raoul from Gaston Leroux's actual novel of Phantom, and put him next to Marius from the Boubil/Schonberg Les Mis. They've both got the whole confused lovesick thing going on, they're both in love with sopranos, and they're both just a tiny bit sappy/annoying occasionally. My mental pictures of them even look the same!
