Upon the highest level of the facility, an office that connected directly onto the helipad and separated from the rest of the building by three metres of solid titanium, a man watched the screens of his CCTV equipment attently. Every now and then, a small band of adults and a young girl would flicker across the screens. With a small smile, he issued an order to the implanted earpieces of every military personnel in the building.
"Lockdown. Issuing code one. Repeat, issuing code one. Get out of there, boys!" he said, smiling, bloodthirsty.
It took a surprisingly short time for the building to empty, and as they drove or marched to the nearest underground bunker, steel lockdown doors sealed every exit in the facility. The military was trapped outside, but the rebels were trapped within; and the remote switch on Luna's cell was on a countdown timer...

The Angel of Metal

Steel had heard the alarm from his cage and the doors shot open, letting him out to take care of them. He stared at the doors with unamused eyes. So they had another job for him? There were apparently some rebels who thought it was a smart idea to try and free Luna. Stupid rebels, did they really think that they could just take her like it was a trip to some candy store. No. Not while Steel was here to stop them. Metallic scraping noises start coming from his back, shifting into wings that look plastered on. He slowly started to flap his wings and he lifted off the ground.

It appeared to he was almost levitating, but with his powers over magnetism, he could easily do that as well. Where are they? He heard the panicking footsteps of worried soldiers and floated in that direction, his metal Halo gliding above him. Hopefully this would be quick. He had another mission of more importance. He need to find the eldest as well as keep the youngest in the base. Difficult task for the metal angel, but he would do it. Now where are the rebels...

Himiwari-Witch

Himi's eyes widen upon hearing the alarm sound. In her experiences, when breaking into a secured base, the sound of a alarm wasn't a good thing. Unknowing to what lay ahead of the rebel group, Himi bit her lip. "Why did this have to be done the hard way?" the witch moaned as she came out of hiding. If the place was going to blow up, no point in hiding, was their. Her time was limited.

She continued to follow the high energy of Luna, feeling another strong energy come from behind the group. Her eyes widen as she turned to look behind them. Seeing a few feet away from the farthest member of the group she could see a boy clothed in black and gray.. "wait... is that... metal?" she asked herself aloud. She gulped, seeing him charge towards the group. This wasn't a good thing.

She decided that there was no time to waist, and the other rebel's could take care of themselves. "Roy, I'm going on ahead, keep that metal freak at bay, will 'ya." the witch barked as she began to run forward towards Luna's cell.

It didn't take her long to find, she looked in the cell, seeing the small floor riddled with a few dead soldiers who had attempted to enter the girls cell. So her visions where true. She gulped, her crimson eyes meeting the girls cold stare. The thought just now crossing her mind, what if Luna didn't want to leave her cell... time to find out if all this was in vain or not.

"You must be the weapon everyone is so damned to capture. Look, I'm going to be blunt with you. I need to know now, do you want out of this prison, or do you want to stay?" her voice was thick with a northern dialect, regardless of her appearance. "Now hurry, cause that metal freak is coming this way, and quiet frankly... I don't feel like fighting. " she knew the girl most likely wouldn't care, after all... she looked as if she sold her soul long ago. Sighing she fiddled nervously with her fingers, knowing that the metal angel she saw behind her recently was most likely closing in behind her. Not to mention, her attention was just drawn to a device in the girls room... it was counting down...

Steel watched with dull eyes as the girl and her team ran pass him. He didn't even turn to look back. Luna wouldn't dare leave this base even if the rebels got to her. He would make sure she'd stay otherwise. Apparently, the girl had left on of the rebels with him in an attempt to stall for time. Steel just stared at the man with his usual dull look, not happy, sad, or angry, just emotionless. The man pointed his gun at Steel and fired without warning. Too bad for him, no one told him about Steel's abilities over magnetism.

The bullet was only a few inches from Steel's face, then it shot upward, hitting the ceiling. "How boring... I thought you'd be more clever..." He said monotone. "Oh well, I guess I'll kill you now..." The rebel now was in a panic, firing bullet after bullet from his gun, but they all went in other directions as was they reached Steel's body. "I control metal and magnetism... Metallic weapons and projectiles are useless against me..." He explained. His Halo started floating away from his head and toward the rebel, spinning a rapid speed like a buzz saw. "Now you die... good-bye..." The rebel started screaming in fear, firing bullets like mad, but failing. Withing seconds, there was sick tearing noise and nauseating splatters of blood on the floors, walls, and ceiling, the rebel... now decapitated... "I told you it was useless... why don't you people learn... I'm a weapon too... just like her..."

Luna's eyes hid some kind of strange innocence in them as she stood up. She could hear the one they called Metal Angel a short way down the hall, feel the feet as they ran through the building. Stupid, really. There was no way out now.
The ticking device did not bother her. She had already lived through worse; something they had woven into her molecular structure. The noise was mildly annoying though.
"I want neither to leave nor to stay. I want a little... recreation. Something to keep me on my toes," the child said quietly, her tongue sophisticated for one so small. As she spoke she stepped closer to the witch, until she was little more than a few inches away. Face turned upwards, those scarlet child's eyes could have melted most hearts had there not been a sliver of ice there.
Her left hand shot out at an impossible speed, aiming for Himi's gut, a sharp-toothed smile spread wide across her face.

Himi looked at the child, from the outer appearance she seemed innocent, too bad Himiwari knew other wise. She took a step back away from the cell as the child grew near. She'd seen her tactics in her dreams more then once, so she knew distance would be best at this moment. She growled a moment, the ticking only growing louder. The attempt to 'save' Luna was a epic fail. How can you save something that didn't want saving.

"Well then I guess I can't help you. " the witch said firmly through painted lips. Her scarlet eyes meeting with the child's once more. She sighed, and wiped the sweat from her brow. She had bigger problems now, she had to get out of this building before it blew. So, she looked at the lock, not wanting to have the child think she abandoned her and left her for dead. You know too well what the retaliation to that will be.

Then she looked down the hall, feeling a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach, the metal angel was getting closer, slaughtering her friends the closer to her he got. That's all she needed, to be captured by the military, to become one of them So Himi sighed, looking at the remaining rebels, then back to Luna. She was against the far wall, out of the child's reach now. Though that wouldn't matter with a weapon such as her. "Guess I'll be seein' you around, Luna." she her lips began to form around the words that she had learned so well over the years.

Her fingers making signals and shapes as her lips moved to soundless words. She had to get the remaining men and herself out of the building. So, her mind focused on the energies of those around her, they beginning to disappear before Luna' and Steels' very sight. Himi gave the child one more smirk before she disappered fully. The lock on Luna's cell clicking open as her chant was complete.

Himi and what remained of her group, which was now no more then 7 people reanimated themselves in a safe distance away from the building in which they where in. She sighed as she fell to the ground, she knew that she was moments away from death in the brief meeting she had with Luna... Sighing the girl fell backwards against a tree. Looking at the remaining members of the rebel party. She sighed, feeling the relief of loss. "I need to know what happened.. " she said flatly, knowing they'd know what to do, they have done it too many times now.

She collapsed on the tree, falling flat on her back, the rest of the group sorrowfully surrounded her, placing their hands where they could. Himi concentrated her mind, tugging on the rebels energies. Within moments she was linked to each one, images of what had happened flashed through her minds eye. It didn't take her long to jolt from the state in a scream, her chest pounding tears burning her eyes. She's seen what the metal angel was capable of.

With a snarl, Luna lunged after Himi as she disappeared, but was too late. She burst through the door of her cell and into the corridor beyond, then stormed down the hall in a bad mood, kicking corpses as she went. With barely a glance at Steel as she passed, Luna brought her foot down sharply on one man's neck, ending his bloody misery, and continued on her way. Her shoulders were raised defensively, her hair over her eyes, and her small fists curled into balls.
Luna made her way to the highest point of the building that was accessible and sat against a wall with her knees hugged against her chest.
...18, 17, 16, 15, 14...
Even up here her ears could pick out the ticking.

The Angel of Metal

Steel looked at the now dead rebels as they fell. That was all that were left. He couldn't find anymore. All that bloodshed for nothing. It was sad that they fought for a lost cause, but it didn't reach the emotionless angel. Looks like the job is done... how boring... He thought, looking at the gory results. Blood and bits of flesh was dripping from his halo, onto his face. He was tempted to lick it off, but didn't, only animals did that and Halo still had a bit of sanity left in him.

The alarm was still blaring away loud and clear. It was starting to get annoy now. The place was likely going to blow soon. He floated around the base one last time and noticed that Luna was gone. "Great... now I have to get her along with the eldest..." He said, disappointed. He floated over to a small ceiling window above him and sighed. "Well... I'm gone..." He flapped his metallic wings, scraping off the rust from them, and shot up, bursting from the ceiling window and out the base. Now then... onto my mission... Luna can wait... If they want a useless weapon... they can have her... for now...

[Look Into My Eyes]

User Image - Xavier -

Xavier's keen eyesight displayed several boxes in his vision. It was part of the several machines and chips his father had embedded in his son's body. Luckily enough, it was easiest with a young individual. The body isn't done growing yet, and whatever you take out and replace, new cells and organs grow in to hold it in place. Which was probably why he hadn't had an issue. Ever. But still, in the back of his mind, Xavier worried what would happen to his body, or worse - brain, if it were to deteriorate. Lord knows his father wouldn't help him. If- that is - if he were alive. Because while the outside of Xavier's body ages, most of his inners will not. Leaving him healthy on the inside.

A box on his visual screen suddenly beeped. The girl he had been staring at before he let his mind wander, was now staring back at him. Actually fixed on his gaze, to be completely honest. He didn't blink, nor did he look down. But merely held her gaze, that mysterious girl with the faintest of blue tints on her face. For some reason, she almost looked familiar. His brain was definitely going crazy, sending messages of familiarity. It could have been somebody in the service with him, or even part of another branch of the government. Being of past army experience, she could have been entered into his internal log.

Curious, Xavier stood up, pulling the hood of his cloak above his head, covering his military tattoo. Broken dogtags hung about his neck, a large, dense crack left from a few incidents that involved several bullets flying into him. His liquid steel body, however, had spared him any pain. His hair flew in the wind as he got closer to the fence to the school. For some reason, she didn't look like the type to be going there; like she didn't fit in. But of course, this could mean anything. And he intended to find out.

"It's not often that folk show that kind of kindness around here," she said as he drew closer, nodding back towards the small boy. Astral studied him closely. Her genetic make up and enhancments were completely biological, but even so they were as attuned as any machine might be.
He had fine features, she thought, maybe a little noticeable to be hanging around down here, though, and the mechanics in his eye lent some air of danger.
The bell rang out behind her, but she didn't move. Within moments the playground was empty, but she just stayed studying him. Interested by his dogtags, that forgotten memory tried to surface once more.
Astral snapped her fingers suddenly, smiling again.
"You were that scientests kid... A soldier, right? Escaped, Exiled, or Discharged?" Astral said standing on tiptoe in a vain attempt to reach his head height.

...9, 8, 7, 6...
Luna stood, still fuming, and faced the wall. All it took was one of her tiny fists and a hole appeared, along with a lot of rubble.
5, 4, 3...
As the building exploded, Luna leapt outwards and upwards, and was carried high into the sky by shockwaves. Her clothes were burned and ripped away, but her body remained unscathed. Remained perfect.
Once she had cleared the heart of the blast, she peaked and dived, heading towards the ground gracefully.
There was a sound of tearing as the last of her shirt was torn through, and a look of sheer ectasy on the child's face as a pair of entirely black, mechanical wings unfolded from her back.
Before hitting the ground, she pulled up sharply and glided smoothly for a few seconds, her keen nose tasting the air.
The witch girl. She would go to the witch girl... Luna never let her prey escape alive.
She could see Steel as a dark speck in the sky, and a dark grin of glee graced her features.
Chances were he had been asked to go for the blue skinned girl, the oldest of the succesfully created experiments. So... She had a rival. Since he had had all of the action inside the base... Luna would just have to find those that had escaped, wouldn't she?
A laugh escaped her, the same kind of gleeful laugh that an ordinary girl her age would give if she had just bought a new puppy, and she veered sharply. The wind was being kind to her today, and Himi's smell was strong.

[Look Into My Eyes]

User Image - Xavier -

Xavier gave the strange girl a steely look. That may be true. his voice was unually soft, almost gentle. He looked at the boy, now scurrying away to a brighter alley way. Probably going to get nurishment. Maybe even proper clothing. But kindness can be found in the most unlikely places. His glance shifted back the the strange girl. She looked at him. Calculating.

Almost intrigued, Xavier looked back. She looked human. But her readings weren't like any other human that he could see. She was...different. Her body heat didn't show up on radar like it should. In fact, it was colder.

Her realization jarred his own thoughts, and his eyes suddenly went cold. Feeling the metallic dog tags - broken and cracked from his age - he grasped them, hiding them beneath his cloak, his gaze unwavering as he stared back. I don't beleive that's your business. Xavier looked at the children walking inside. She stood where she was. They were alone now. His eyes shifted back to the blue gleam from her temple. And what would you be? Xavier looked her up and down again. She wasn't necessarily built, per sa. But she did have a slender, muscular quality to her body. Much like the muscles of a swimmer. Her facial features were slim and attractive, but again, different than what he usually saw in people.

His brainwork began to spin. Vivid images of a blue green woman escaping from a secret government building. The hundreds of military men that went after her...the death and cold brutality of her tactics. And the effective killing machine that she could be. But unlike most killing machines, he had some innate understanding of good and evil. And thus refused to fight for injustice. In fact, if he himself didn't leave the armed services, it would've been his new mission to capture and tag this creature. But then again, they weren't so different. He raised an eyebrow, stepping back in understanding. Astral.

Himi watched as the building exploded, sighing she felt tears burn her eyes. Just the thought of that child possibly being in that explosion was enough to upset Himi. She sighed as she looked at the rest of the group, then, out of the corner of her eye something... no...two things caught her eye. They where both small, both flying. Her eyes widen as she watched.

"Well.. Looks as if they escaped... But at what cost?" she asked the others out loud. Sighing she shook her head, black streaks of hair falling over her face. She was sure Luna now had her eyes set for her. She was sure the girl would be after her soon. She had to move, she had to get away from this area.

Himi began to disappear into the trees, the smell of pine, oak, and god only knows what else enough to over power her own scent once she was deep enough. She looked at the rest of the group, they where going to have to split up. If they where together, it would be easier for them to be tracked, Luna was a wolf, so she was more then likely able to smell her.

"I think it's best if we split up...You don't want that child to get ahold of you. " she looked from one face to the other, the remaining seven looking regretful of having to split, but they all knew she had a point.

"But Himi, what will become of you?" she heard one of the males ask, she sighed, looking away.

"Well hopefully I can get Luna to follow after me... Not sure on what will become of me.. but I know this, if I can keep you all safe, then my job is done." the little sunflower smiled as her crimson eyes reassured her group. "We'll meet again, don't you worry about that! "

Moments after saying goodbye, the group split off, each going their own ways. Seven different directions. The rebel scent would be more spread out now, though each did have their own individual scent, she hoped it was enough to confuse Luna for the time being.

Himiwari wasted no time in moving, bursting in a full out sprint as she ran through the forest, dodging trees and vines. A smile crossed the girls face as she ran, feeling free for a change. Once she was deep enough in the wooded terrain, she stopped. Doubled over, and began to pant for breath, a small laugh escaping pass her painted red lips as she did. Her entire body tingled from the exertion of the run.

Her ears adjusted to the sounds around her. In the distance she could hear the sound of running water. Smiling, she knew that washing up would also help dilute her scent. So, the little witch began in the direction of the water. She needed a bath, she needed a break.

Astral hissed softly under her breath, a reptilian sound, and crossed her arms over her chest.
"So you know me," she said, glancing away, but a hint of a smile graced her lips. "Biologically reinforced amphibious human... Possibly one of your father's side projects. They never gave me any names or faces of those who made me..."
Astral seemed to sigh, then inhaled sharply and leapt. She hooked her fingers into the wire at the very top of the fence and swung her body over, landing next to Xavier with barely a sound. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and cast a look back towards the school.
"Let's walk. Seems we have some things in common..."

Steel Tower
The Angel of Metal

Steel was knocked up a few feet in the air as the explosion hit. He used the force of the explosion as an uplift to keep himself from being engulfed in the fiery blast. He looked down at what was left of the lab and turned away, floating closer to the ground. Well... that was uneventful... He thought. Now... to find Luna... He looked down to the ground and spotted black mechanical wings on the body of a small girl. Steel blinked for a moment at her. A burning feeling in his chest welling up. Was this... anger? Jealousy from seeing the wolf-girl with wings as well? No... I have no emotions... this is just my body simulating human feelings... He concluded. But at least... she hasn't... escaped...

He floated down to her level, looking at her with emotionless eyes. He couldn't take any chances on her turning against the military, but he also couldn't kill her without a good reason. "Luna... I trust... your going to... help capture rebels..." He said. He wasn't going to let her simply defect so easily. Her nine years in the laboratory was nothing compared to his ten. He would make sure she'd stay on the side of the military at all costs.
