Frowning Vaughn didn’t like this outcome one bit, rushing off to find yet another piece of flesh for Sparks to consume Vaughn knew his plans weren’t going to go well today he had a feeling in his gut that nothing was going to go right. Thinking back on what he and Sparks had done made him realize that he couldn’t stay with her if she wasn’t with his pups, her evilness would rub off on him…
Shaking his head Vaughn pushed those unnoble thoughts to the fartherest part of his mind, and focused on his joruney for another piece of meat. Quickly enough Vaughn found annother rabbit, ‘These poor rabbits today…’ and trotted back to the pup hoping Sparks would take her time in following him. Dropping the rabbit near the pup Vaughn looked over the poor thing, “Here’s some rabbit… I need to find more though…”
Sighing Vaughn ran off again in search of another rabbit, hopefully he’d find one before Sparks found the pup.

After a while, Styx had dragged himself out of the water. He figured he'd be muddy now, mixing the wet fur with whatever ground he came back on. Well s**t. He made a motion he thought might be rolling his eyes if he had any, and just stood there, his back to the water.
He was aware that anything that came to attack him could very well come through the water, but at least then he would hear the splashing. He was in a mood to be miserable but wouldn't let himself.
He heard the bigger wolf coming back, and smelled death. So he had brought him food. The pup didn't know whether to be grateful, or angry again. He would need to learn to hunt on his own very quickly if he were to survive...
He sighed as the wolf ran off again, after speaking of finding more food. Inching closer to the furry dead thing, he debated to himself whether he should eat it now, or wait until Vaughn returned.

She like before had ripped apart the beast before picking off choice peices of flesh and eatting them. But instead of dropping this one she desided to hang onto it like it was the toy of the day. Lucky for the pup because instead of stilling and waiting for Vaughn to show up again she took a beeline straight towards Styx just to find out what the idiot had been up to befor he had a chance to hide it. She could use the flesh of a puppy considering she hadn't eatten much off the rabbits.
But seeing the coins in his eyes she was more curious then hungry and desided to inspect the little beast and find out what was in his eye. But first she'd make light work of that rabbit that was ment for the puppy and quickly took it away before he had the chance shaking it too and fro like she had done to the other one.
"Too slow kid."

The death smell was getting closer, and suddenly all too close. He had flopped to his belly before the dead small animal, and didn't flinch as it was jerked from beside him. This wasn't the first male, for sure.
In fact... he sniffed a bit, and replayed the voice in his mind once more. Female, and mean at that. "Was for you, anyway." he said flatly. He didn't want the kill, he hadn't killed it. This wolf could take another's kill if she wanted, but that wasn't Styx's style.
He didn't speak further, that wasn't his style either. He was too busy thinking, as that was what he felt he was best at. He couldn't very well see what this new wolf was doing or feeling, so he simply lay there, on his belly, waiting.

"Glad you know your place young one." She chomped at another bone and injested it like she was some sort of owl. Maybe she wouldn't kill it yet. She was still curious about it's eyes. What were those things. They obviously didn't come from the wild. She knew that. She took her nose and nudged his coins not having any clue what 'personal space' ment. "So what are those things?"

Maybe his paw moved to swipe her nose before he felt the painful nudge at his eyes. He didn't care if it connected with the she-wolf or not, but she needed to back up. "Hell if I know, I'm blind." he spoke through gritted teeth. The stench of blood on her breath made him want to vomit, but he choked it back as best he could.
His brain relayed to him what she had said first, about him knowing his place. Hm, he knew his place, and it wasn't scavenging off other wolves kills like this wolf apparently liked to do.
One day, he would be bigger, and he would have sight, through some means. Even if that meant bullying a lesser wolf into being his eyes. And then wolves like this one wouldn't be so unwise as to treat him so lowly.

After the while that Vaughn took hunting he was finally able to come back with another dead rabbit though he had to hike out a bit to find a good area where he hadn’t scared any off yet. Dashing back as fast as he could Vaughn hoped against anything in his life that maybe this one time something would go right, anything in fact he wasn’t picky any more.
Coming to the scene Vaughn frowned shaking his head at Sparks realizing she had taken the pups meat, he needed it to grow. Dropping the dead rabbit towards the pup again Vaughn nudged it towards him, “Here eat this one…”
Glancing back to Vaughn he could feel his skin start to prickle at the fact that he knew Sparks would personally kill him for doing that.

Sparks shot him a dirty look and moved forward to sit on the rabbit. It was hers not the pups. "Your my slave fool! And I havn't desided if I want to let this other pup live yet. Stop giving HIM food." She began to gnaw on the rabbit eatting it as quickly as she could so there was nothing left.
"So your blind eh?" She took a paw and wiggled it infront of his eyes just to make sure. "Interesting. I've never met a blind wolf before. Then again I've never met anyone with those THINGS on there eyes. Where did you get them love?" She sounded sweeter to him then she'd even been to Vaughn.

He didn't move for that rabbit either. He would experiment with hunting and catch his own food later, if he could rid himself of these fools. But for now... it was best to keep them thinking he was weak and stupid.
He listened carefully at the things being said. It took him a moment to figure out things were coming to him in reverse order, and he puzzled over that for a moment. Was it these two speaking differently, or was he catching the phrases and words backwards? It would be another mystery to figure out later, when he was left in peace.
He almost mistook the she-wolf calling him her slave, but when he realized things were reversed, and that she was talking to Vaughn, he calmed a bit. He had pegged Vaughn as someone's slave, and this certainly made sense. Didn't big male wolves kill indignant females like this one? Apparently not in Styx's new, blind, world.
As soon as he picked out what he needed to know, he spoke one more time. Very slowly, as to not confuse the female anymore, as she seemed to have a not-so-solid understanding of things.
"Demons removed my eyes with sticks, and burned the heavy things into their places with the black fire." he snarled as he remembered. "They spoke in wonder that any other wolf would have died."
It was alright to add flourish, every once in a while, he figured. Maybe they hadn't said that, and maybe he hadn't understood what they were saying. And ... he was pretty sure they were just regular humans, but who the hell cared now?

Sighing Vaughn shook his head sitting at the side lines, he couldn’t disobey Sparks because he knew she would hurt the pup just to torture him. His life really sucked, he had a horrible weakness against his mate, against all females and against anyone in needs, what was his life going to be outside of Sparks and this new adventure?
Frowning Vaughn pushed those thoughts away, he wasn’t going to leave his female that’s for sure he wasn’t a low life! A short nod and Vaughn sat up straight listening to the two as they spoke it was odd for Sparks to change so quickly in his eyes, again another ability he did not have… He really needed to get his life in order if he was going to be staying with Sparks…
A slave was what Vaughn was becoming, to his own weaknesses to his own mate; of whom he couldn’t even call his own! He needed to break himself of this, he truly did or else his life wouldn’t be his own, it would be Sparks. Would Sparks’s ownership be so bad…?
Breaking his train of thought Vaughn perked at the story, this pup must be delusional he was telling tales that even his own elders didn’t know of. Or maybe it was real? Was this world outside of his pack something out of a pup’s fairytale? Everything so hateful and mean… Was he the last to believe in being nice to someone just for the heck or it?
“That cannot be.” It was a mumble but it was out now, he had to know for sure to live in a world like the one of the pups must just be a horrible nightmare if not Vaughn’s hopes for being noble were going to slip by on the current upstream with no way over ever getting them back.

So both of these wolves were brain dead. Styx was certain of it, and picked himself up off the ground to walk a few paces away from both of them. They would sleep sooner or later, and then he would leave them.
He stared blindly in the direction of the water, letting the wind cast small ripples onto his front paws. He felt weary, and just wanted to lay somewhere safe and fall asleep, but knew he could not while these two were around. There was no telling what they might do to him.
That cannot be. Styx whipped his head in the direction of the older male, a blank expression on his face. "You are looking at it, wolf. Do you think wolves did this to me? Even two-legs would kill a wolf before they did this to them, so greedy with their resources." he snarled, hoping to crush the fairy-tale world the big wolf had created for himself.
"There is no such thing as nobility and honor, only ruthlessness and cunning. Hatred and vile torment." he spoke through his teeth, finally turning his head back towards the water. Cry, dumb wolf. Cry like when you were a lost pup with no family. he thought to himself, assuming things he knew not for sure.

"Humans?" She sounded agasp. Her mother and father had mentioned many stories of those beasts. Far more evil then any wolf she knew about. Some part of her pittied the pup for having to deal with them. Anyone that survived a human wouldn't really care about how nasty she was. Nothing could match there cruelty.
"You know kid I had you pegged wrong." She listened to the way he spoke, how he held himself. "There is only hate in this world. And you should learn that Vaughn. You'd use less energy if you stopped trying to save everyone. Some of us are past the point of saving."
She looked down at the few bones that remained from the rabbit she had selfishly injested earlier. "Vaughn get our guest a rabbit." She looked over to him. "Kid even I can't compete with the humans." It was as close to sorry as he was going to get from the heartless she wolf.

Biting his tongue Vaughn couldn’t keep track of his thoughts, ‘Evil? Heartless…?’ Was that all there is in the world? Will he forever be the only one to want peace in a world so filled with hate that even Vaughn was tempted to leave once again from Sparks side? ‘No!’ Sitting up straight Vaughn nodded to Sparks before heading off to get the pup another rabbit.
His thoguhts would consume him though, his mate was evil… This pup was evil, his pups would be evil if raised by Sparks. ‘No! I can’t…’ It couldn’t happen, would he become evil? Searching for the rabbit was harder then Vaughn had wanted it to be but his distraction level was reaching it’s peek.
‘I don’t have control of my own life…’ Would he slowly want to do twisted things to innocent beings? Would he, if given the chance to save another, would he wish harm on them?
Shaking his head thoroughly Vaughn ventured off for another rabbit, ‘Sparks will be mad if I don’t hurry…’ But this time when he thought that he didn’t feel fear, he just felt sad.
