"I'm actually kind of lost. Not that I had any specific destination in mind," she admitted sheepishly. "Perhaps if I had, I might not have gotten so turned around."

"Not really," she admitted. "I just thought it might be a pleasant day for a walk. Though I would like to ever see the sky again," she added that last bit at a mutter glancing up at the dense canopy of green. "Other from that, just a sense of knowing I'm not lost, or in Nightmare Valley or something would be nice."

"That would be lovely," she said with a warm smile. "Thank you." It would be nice to have company, and to get out of these unrelenting woods. She did wonder, however, where they would wind up after. Where had she entered this forest? How deep did it go? And what about the sides? How much of her wanderings had been walking in a circle? She simply did not know, and that bothered her.

Nightquest easily got to his feet. He stretched his frame and groaned. "That's better. This way." He started down a barely discernible path. "If I'm going too fast, don't be afraid to say something."

She ambled along side him, grateful. "Thank you so much. I'm sorry if I am putting you out. I really appreciate the guide, and even more so the company," she said softly. She hadn't realized just how lonely she had been until she had begun speaking to him.

She smiled. "I think I can make it," she tried, almost made it... fell on her rump back on the side she had started on. "Perhaps some assistance might not be such a bad idea after all," she muttered. "At least I know I didn't cross this way a dozen times already or anything."

Nightquest nodded and hopped the log, offering her a hoof up. "You'd remember falling, that's for sure. But at least you were pretty graceful while you fell. Not everyone can do that."

She gave him an odd look, then a small wry smile. "Thanks, I think," she said. She got up and stretched experimentally. "Nothing bruised but my pride, at least. Amazing how I keep landing on that when I have so little left. I suppose I am more talented than I knew. But really, did that have to be my talent?"
