He stood for god knows how long right there, still just thinking. He had never truly come up with any answers in his weeks of drifting, and now, well..his brain was overloading with questions that needed answers. He looked back up the the ledge where he just come from and wondered something. It can't hurt.. he thought as he decided to go back up.
He stepped back a bit to get a running start, and with the same maneuver, he scaled the stone wall and walked over to Nariko, momentarily trying to figure this out, but he just decided to go for it.
He waited for her to turn her head while he took his helmet off and once she did he swiftly moved up to her, gently taking a hold of her chin with a paw and standing on his tip toes, he quickly kissed her before moving away. "There's your thanks" he said, not truly impressed.

Despite her search over the ocean for a glimpse of the creature, her ear had flicked to catch the sound of Dutch returning. She didn't really take note on what he wanted, since similar to last time....the position really called for nothing he could have desired. She was just surprised he was still around and hadn't taken off like last time.
Oh, was she wrong.
Eyes widening as she felt her chin seized, pulled back around before.....well, it was probably the closest she'd been to a heart attack to the date. Mind blank, her body felt more numb than anything else aside from the heavy thudding of her heart to make her face turn a brilliant scarlet. W-w-wa-w-WHAT was THAT! Her mind screamed as she stumbled a step or two back to touch her lips with a paw, snapping her eyes to Dutch.
She wasn't sure wether to be elated, or to be utterly pissed off he'd perhaps unknowingly and in some demented humor decided to torture her by stealing that first kiss. Many, many things crossed her mind to say, but deciding most of them made her sound really dumb or really hateful...she simply decided with,
"Thanks.....for what...?" Nariko was confused, oh so confused.

"Thanks for not punching me in the face" he said dully. Her expression was displeasing to him as he put his helmet on and turned to the edge again. This time, he jumped down quickly and started back through the pass. Pausing only to hear if she had any last minute words..
On the other hand, out in the ocean, the beast had come to shore and saw the spectacle. Now it was rolling in the sand clenching at it's sides and laughing in an eerie metallic like voice.

The dull tone in his voice said it all as her expression faultered, looking away as he moved to leave. So it was obligation... She thought sadly, clenching her fist as she tried to quell those painful feelings back down. Damn him...Now I have to get these unnecessary thoughts out of her head.
"You're welcome, then." Nariko tried not to let her voice crack, hoping that strength would come back to her that she had not too long ago; why was she always getting herself into these messed. However as a blue figure caught into her preipherals, she snapped a glare in the creatures direction. If it wasn't being blown off a second time by Dutch was enough, it was some creature laughing at her. Feeling that familiar rage begin to boil, she turned and clenched onto the rock as her spine fur raised.
"SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU HEAR ME!" She yelled angrily down to the creature, her tail slashing the air as if it could cut something. Clenching her fist as well as her jaw, she wished she could go down and beat the living hell out of it, at least she'd feel better if she wouldn't die in the process.

He didn't make it far down the pass before he just rested his back against the stone wall and slunk down to the ground. He wasn't sure what to think or what to do. It would have been so much easier had he just not come down to the shore all together.
The beast, not taking kindly into something snapping back, stopped it's laughter and ran to the wall, sinking it's claws into the stone and easily scaling the thing till it's upper body was past the ledge, and it's large head glared down the much smaller fox, teeth bared. Without any movement of it's mouth it spoke. "You wanted a fight, You have one!" it's slightly feminine voice being filled with rage

Nariko's growling stopped immediately as the beast stopped all together and stood, in the blink of an eye charging the wall and began to scale the mountain. Eyes widening in her own self induced horror she quickly backed into the wall as she was face to face with the creature as she made a bitter mental note it seemed to be able to either throw its voice or had telepathy.
....and was a girl?
Her mind scrambled for anything to say....but nothing came. Of course.....she just HAD to open her mouth from her prior silence, she was starting to envy those mutes. With her chest rising and falling in a rapid matter, her eyes glanced to the side for a second as she knew it would be unwise to risk a mountain since she really wasn't well with slopes. Swiftly reaching around she knew she had one shot... Sorry, Nimur.... She thought knowing she took it without permission and ripped the pins out from the flash grenade and tossed it up; using all her speed to kick the rock exposing the shaft and dropping down as the grenade exploded in light and a high pitched screech. Not having the bulk that Dutch had she found it easier to quickly get the hell out of the hole despite being taller once impact had sent a painful tingle up her spine. Within seconds she'd scrambled out and took off in a mad sprint along the beach; hitting the solid land near the trees where she could run faster as she cast a glance over her shoulder to see where the creature was.

The Beast let out a screeching roar that echoed through the land as it was blinded by the grenade. It's grip loosened on the rock and it crashed to the ground on it's back, flailing around trying to recover and jump back up. The eyes on it's hips caught the fleeing Nariko. It turned and using the eye on it's forehead, it managed to follow the fleeing fox, shooting small deadly projectiles from it's mouth that converged and formed a sort of lighting. It wasn't the best of aim, but it was running at full speed to keep up with the little pest.
As Nariko ditched into the forest it came to a halt. Too big to move into the forest, and bones still too frail to knock them over, it just roared and screeched, shooting the lighting in desperate to hit something
He was about to feel defeated when he heard the ear piercing screech. "Damn it Nariko!" he snarled as he stood up and bolted to the beach once again. "Why can't you just leave that thing alone" he growled to himself, just seeing her flee into the forest with the beast shortly behind. That wouldn't work he had tried that before. As large as the creature was, it was capable of..summoning these..things that floated around. If the beast couldn't get her, He was sure those floating things could.
Just as the thing was about to rear up on it's hind legs and summon the things, he flying tacked one of the legs, stabbing his 4 inch knife into one of the eyes on it's hands.

"F*ck F*ck F*ck!!!!" Nariko hissed as she barely evaded one of the blasts before reaching into the woodland cover; yet she didn't stop there. Dashing over logs and rocks and roots she could hear the beast making a ruckus outside the treeline. Excellent, she beamed in a big of success as she grabbed onto a trunk to swing herself behind it when one of the lightning bolts struck across her back as she let out a cry and slammed to the ground.
Writhing for a moment at the pain but was glad she didn't get a full electrocution; but the smell of burnt fur and flesh wasn't appealing in the slightest. "God damn...." She finally breathed out through watering eyes, slowly getting to her feet as she heard the commotion where the beast was; slipping forward a few trees to try and see what was going on.
"Dutch?" She blinked as she could see him sink his blade deep into the hand of the creature. Once more she felt that sinking feeling in her stomach, that he actions had once more put not just her but both of them on the line. You idiot!

Whirling around, one of the glowing tentacles along the creatures back slammed to the ground in an attempt to get rid of the nuisance. But the thing didn't yowl in pain, but rather let out a menacing chuckle. Strange energy started to ooze from it's feet and almost as soon as it pooled, little blue vines latched onto the creatures foot. Blue sparks formed around the thing and soon it was covered in armor. Now it faced the irritation with a glowing visor that seemed to glare the thing down.
He rolled, just barely avoiding the tentacle only to find in horror that the dragon had many more tricks up it's sleeve as blue armor phased onto it's body. "Oh...son of a b***h." he uttered in pure shock. He saw the thing turn to him and the glowing visor that stared him down had his heart racing. With no time to waste, he jumped to his feet and ran as fast as he could, hoping he could get to the tunnel before it caught him

Nearly feeling her heart stop as the creature had almost gotten him, she felt her body walking forward with no control. By all means she should have run, should have gotten the hell out of this place but she couldn't. No matter how much her head would have told her otherwise to forget about the man, her heart would allow no such thing. Resolve set in her expression she took off through the woods at a speed rather dangerous for it but she didn't care. If that thing was going to take Dutch down she definitely wasn't going to allow it.
Soaring across the woods she kept her eye on the pair, rounding the sides of the woods she prepared to either jump up to the ledges of the mountain or across the base; she was ready.

The thing lurched it's head forward and with the helmet parting for the deadly teeth, it snapped it's jaws at the feeling foxes leg, soon feeling the taste of blood on it's tongue, and skidding to a halt as it had successfully nipped at the smaller's upper thigh, which for his size, was an easy gash. It liked it's teeth and moved in for the kill as it saw the armored fox to try to flee, only falling back on it's face and crawling frantically away.
he was doing great, almost there, but he looked back to see a mouth coming at him. He tried running faster, and it was initially what saved his leg, but he still felt one of the needle teeth sink into his thigh, causing him to fall immediately and grab the wound. Shockingly it didn't bleed much, but rather a blue ooze loitered and was soon absorbed into his system. He didn't know what it was, or for that matter, he didn't have time. Now the things was coming at him again. He took his blade, knowing it would do no good and tried to escape, feeling the nerves in his leg refuse, so he ended up dragging himself across the sand

No! Nariko thought in panic as Dutch went down after the creature had lashed out at his leg; he was hurt. There was no time to think of a strategy to kill the creature, she knew she wouldn't be able to pull it off. Yet she knew that she had to what she could to buy Dutch time, and in a breakneck turn she sprinted as fast as her body could across the sands; feeling an odd gust of wind from her back to propel her just enough for her jump to have much more air than normally she would be able to.
Leaping at the alien fox as full speed she hoped her impact and momentum would make it stumble away from Dutch. Grabbing one of its webbed spikes on its head to keep her situated she tossed her right leg up to reach over the neck while the left leg smacked hard from the momentum. Wasting not a moment she reached over its head to wrap her arms around and under its jaws to attempt to keep it closed while her legs vice gripped around the wide neck. Keeping her head down against the creature since she saw what those tentacles could to, and Nariko had never been so determined to hold on for dear life till it would have to pry her dead corpse off it.
Snapping her eyes to Dutch for a moment of desperation, she wasn't sure how he was going to get out of here since he was already down to crawling; but she would try her best till he could. "Taylor, GO! I'm not going to let you die on my account!" She pleaded and tightened her grip on the beast...no matter what, she knew her parents would someday understand...she was sure both were prepared and willing to put their lives on the line for one another; and she was no different.

Seeing the fox fly at it, the dragon braced for impact and with the smaller hitting it's well protected head, it laughed menacingly "Back for round two then Deary?" it snarled as it reared up on it's back legs, all four tentacles whipping at the foxes back or trying to pry the grip off. In the end, the rearing was just a side of momentum, as the beast walked over carefully to the rock wall where it leaned back and then forward, preparing to smash it's head into the cliff side.
He didn't need to be told twice. As soon as he saw Nariko jump aboard the creature, he crawled away to the pass. It was the closest thing he could get too and although it would be hard to climb up hill with a bum leg, he was still willing to try. As soon as he got to the cliff side, he used what waning strength he had left to climb on to the rocks and get him standing on one leg, with the rest of his body resting against the cool rock. He didn't feels so great now and figured that the ooze was a poison or something.
He looked back to where the creature was, seeing it standing on two legs and walking to the wall was not a good sign. "GET OFF THAT THING!!" he shouted

"You know it..." Nariko breathed as the words of the creature reached her ears, holding on with all her might as she was elevated high into the air once it reared back. Keeping her head as well hidden as she could she stifled a cry as the tentacles lashed on her already burned back; the pain tenfold, but she refused to loosen her grip any since she could feel the tug on her armor to try and get her off. Darting her eyes to Dutch to see he was at the path.
Hearing his shout as the beast began to move to the wall, she looked ahead to see its plan; it was going to try and crush her off. However she knew if she jumped now it would be aware...so Nariko pretended not to hear it and increase her grip. It wouldn't be until the creature's head sped towards the rock wall where she let right go to roll backwards down the beast's spine; kicking off at its hips to flip back and hit the sand running. She hoped the maneuver would buy them even a few seconds as she wasted no time to reach Dutch, pulling him off the wall as she made sure that bummed leg was inward to her and reached her paw around his back to grip at the top and then bottom of his armor with her other arm.
"Sorry..." She breathed out for invading his space and without another word she ran the best she could with his weight, almost carrying his weight completely if he didn't use his legs. Past that ridge, we should be alright...

Not noticing the little thing slip off, it smashed it's head into the rock wall, cracking it and leaving a small dent. It felt only a momentary lapse of pain, but only long enough to not see that it's target had slipped away. Once it's vision returned, it looked around the rubble for it's victim, snarling when it learned she had vanished. the dragon jumped over to the pass, too big to slip through, but it didn't need to. Instead it watched the pair escape...for now.
He hardly noticed when Nariko gave the thing the slip and took a hold of him, supporting most of his weight while he tried to urge his other leg to walk. Were it not for his strong will to stay awake, he would have passed out long before he reached the trail, but even now as they were away from the danger and moving up the slope, he could feel his consciousness fade in and out. "Must.....keep...going" he mumbled out loud to himself as motivation. Whatever it was that the thing injected, it was certainly doing a fine job at making him immobile
