"WHOOOOOOOOO~!!! ALRIGHT!!! ALRIIIIIIIIGHT~!!!"
A very loud and energetic yell could be heard not too far from where Xenos and the other pilots were. Of course, knowing the voice of its bearer, relative distance was not a certain thing. She was loud and proud of it, near or far.
"I CAN FLY~!!! I CAN FLYYYYYYYYY~!!! IN YO' FACE~!!! IN YO' FAAAAAAAACE~!!!"
Yasu Satsumaimo floated aimlessly around her area, limbs stretched out like she was doing a jumping victory double fist-pump. Normally, she wasn't always this loud, but for her, this experience was a good enough excuse to act like the party animal she was. Hell, she didn't even mind the cold! All of her excited yelling and flailing made her completely oblivious to that!
"Ah, man! The only way this could get any better is if this was a group floating session! That'd rock. So. Freakin'. HARD!"
Thinking of the MARUs floating with her made the enthusiastic rookie forget to look where she was going, unable to see the wall coming for her head before it was too late. The result was nothing out of the ordinary, despite the conditions.
"OW! Ffffff....Dumb wall....but it'll take more than an aching headbump to ruin this!"
Yasu dramatically pointed at the wall she had hit and smiled in a cocky fashion, as if trying to prove a point to the inanimate object. To add to this already odd display, she stated very childish one-word comebacks that had been around for at least three centuries or so....
"FACE! BURN! OWNED!"

((Wow, I'm so out of it with Xenos. xP ))
Xenos could only shake his head. He didn't whether to smile or travel the disapproval route. The pilot looked up at the floating red-head in the hanger, "Careful with the free-float. Don't know when the gravity is going to kick in again."
"Or MARU," a pilot added.
"Or that," Xenos looked at the digital screen on his Metatron arm. "Speaking of which, we should be expecting one anytime soon. The parts should've been shipped by now." He hung onto his plane with his other hand as he looked over to the other pilots and planes.
~~
-MEANWHILE-
268 was skidding about the colony. The low gravity made the delivery a bit more dangerous than it normally was. There was always that slight chance that he could accidentally fly off into the void of space from a misstep. Ah, the life of a MARU. The machine chattered and clicked audibly as it passed by the several corridors and external routes. Sometimes, it would pass by another MARU or a colonist. 268 would send a greeting whistle their way and keep moving.
Some minutes later, he arrived at the drop off. A hangar full of war planes and pilots. Not so bad, right? Wrong. He forgot to stop and was sent flying through the hangar. The poor machine squealed in panic as he somersaulted pass the floating space thief.
"KRREEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEE!!!"
268 tucked in his head, tail and legs as he flew into a wall. Thankfully, he didn't break through the wall but the MARU was disoriented from the unexpected flight.
"Kurururururururururrrr~"

Yasu was still hooting and hollering up in free-float, the only thing she really heard through it all was "free-float" and "gravity". Of course, the panicked squeal of 268 disrupted her own little world of fun much more than the wall from before did....
"Hahahahaha--....Huh?!"
Seconds after she became concerned from hearing the nearby squeal, Yasu immediately began to flail and spin when she saw a good-sized metallic blackish-silver blur somersault over her. Despite the fact that she was within safe distance from being hit by 268, she flailed away regardless. Impulses told her to do that and that was what Yasu usually worked upon.
A second after the collision sounded, the space thief looked around, soon finding a tucked-in 268 floated near her way. Sensing his fright, Yasu swam through the zero gravity air and did what she usually did to help her friends: gave him a big, friendly, masculine big-sister type hug, also giving him a big, reassuring grin as a means to cheer him up.
"Hey there, 268! That was quite a wipeout! Glad you're okay, though! This zero-gravity stuff makes it really easy to fly, but really hard to put on the brakes while flying!"
A pause while looking at the wall she had hit before made her add an addendum to that.
"If it makes you feel any better, I got into a head-on collision with a wall a few minutes ago! I'm okay, though! Don't you worry!"
It wasn't that Yasu was bragging or showing off, but rather to show 268 that she was a strong, elder sister-figure that he could look up to in his times of need. This display was merely to keep her MARU friends feeling safe and reassured, knowing they had at least one person that they could come to for protection. Right now, 268 was scared and needed a peaceful release, a shoulder for him to chirp on before inevitably letting himself go back to his duties....
Yasu proceeded to dive down to ground-level with 268, putting him back on his feet and giving him another one of her hugs. After pulling back, she gave her MARU friend a big, energetic grin and an uplifting fist-pump to go with her positive, encouraging message.
"I hope you have super duper awesome day, 268! Just show those walls and obstacles who's boss! Laugh in the face of this low gravity! Make it your b***h! You can even do it with a smile, like I'm doing! See?"
Yasu used her two pointer fingers to point at herself, using her own trademark grin as a radical example for her message. Despite her exaggerated and over-the-top gestures, displays, and words, the intent of it all was what really mattered. It was just Yasu's way of cheering someone up and raising their morale, to keep them chugging through the rest of their day. With what the MARUs go through on a daily basis, they really needed it....

"Ouuooohhhhhrrrrrrr. . . . ." 268 whined as he allowed Yasu to remove him from the dent in the hanger wall. He moved his legs in a peddling motion before he touched the cold solid ground. Ah, ground, his friend. . . For the time being. The MARU uncurled from his defensive position and lowered himself down closer to the floor. His thick tail curled over his left side, much like a cat would when lounging around.
He gave a few whistles and clicks to Yasu as he rocked from side to side on his legs. The machine was still more or less disoriented so it would be a while before it spat out the cargo.
Xenos crossed his arms and looked over to Yasu, "Think he'll be okay? I've never seen a MARU do that after a crash." He was slightly concerned, not just for the package, but for the machine too. Despite the sheer number of MARUs that could easily replace 268, the fact that something might be wrong with him was unsettling. It was like, euthanizing your own beloved pet.

Yasu frowned in concern and thoughtfulness, studying 268's body language. Rocking motion, pained moaning, dizziness....
"....Ah! I think I've got it!"
The redhead then proceeded to float her way up to a spot in the hangar. She rummaged around in it, carelessly throwing various items over her shoulder and leaving them to float about freely....
"No....Nuh-uh....Already been used by someone (bleck!)....Ah! Here we go!"
The space thief floated back down to 268 and, with a triumphant grin and a hearty, friendly pat to 268's backside, presented him with what she had found: an empty paper bag.
"Here you go, 268! No need to hold that vomit back anymore!"
Yasu apparently believed 268 was queasy from his unwilling flight through the hangar. Her heart was in the right place and it was really the thought that counted, she could be rather....oblivious to certain things, such as that a machine could suffer internal damage much like a human could and that a MARU may or may not have the ability to throw up, let alone ingest something that they could throw up....

((o-o Where did our number 3 ninja poof to?))
The MARU only whined more and continued to rock back and forth in a nervous fashion. The more the machine swayed, the less responsive it became to outside stimuli. To be honest, all he heard was garbled static from his audio and taps on the body. Perhaps he was glitching up from the impact? In any case, he was probably due for some maintenance.
"Mrororororroroooooooouuuuuuu~"
Xenos' face could only frown deeper. The pilot made his way over to the delivery hybrid, bouncing from plane to plane to get there. He patted the MARU on the head, trying to steady it. "Hey buddy, did your data have a hiccup from that crash?"
"Mrroooaoaaaarrrooooouuuuuuuuuu~"
That was the only response the pilot would get out of the MARU. His head wasn't moving any less, even with the former Antillian pilot's attempt to anchor it.

((You mean Mystic-Rhythms-san? If so, I'm not sure myself.... sweatdrop ))
Yasu only frowned deeper with Xenos, trying to support 268 along with her ex-Antillian co-worker. She didn't have any clue what was wrong with 268. She was never good with understanding technology, usually going by the method of muscle over mind, but she honestly meant well. Despite her ignorance and less-than-stellar intelligence, she really did care about her mechanical friends. She didn't understand how they worked, but most of the time, it didn't concern her. Disquieting situations such as this, however, made her secretly wish she did understand....
"....Think he might be really sick or something? ....Should we take him down to the sick bay? Or wherever he goes to when he's under the weather?"
Yasu was not so cheery right now, as she had good reason not to be. 268 was acting very strangely and they had no idea why. This was very serious and she knew it, showing some of her rare sober side for such an occasion. For all they knew, 268 could be suffering from internal injuries and may need to go to the ER....or wherever he needed to go to when his insides were dangerously messed up and/or leaking....
Of course, as usual, a bit of the usual Yasu came back. In her usual hastiness, she just flat-out decided to try and haul 268 to the "sick bay" herself, regardless of whatever Xenos said to her questions from before and most likely accidentally making him almost fall over from her hastily taking 268 with her. She figured that, if 268 truly was sick, what good would it be to just stand around and do little to nothing while his condition might be getting worse? She probably forgot the possible dangers of moving around outside of the pilot hangars with low-gravity, but at least she had some of the right idea....right?
Geeze....Imagine what this'd be like for me without the low-gravity....I'd get more of a workout than I'd bargained for!

(( I meant Vriska. sweatdrop ))
Xenos fell over from Yasu pushing the possibly damaged MARU. He still held onto 268's head as they floated about towards the exit of the hangar. The pilot thought for a bit, "If it's a hardware problem, I think we can fix it here. Software and bio-tech support is a little ways out from here. Zeta and I can fly us over if we need to get there."
"HEY! Since when did I agree that!?" A female voice from one of the planes retorted after a long period of silence, at least from the AI. "As much as I would help, can I at least agree to it first before you throw me into the mess?"
"Agh, you know what I mean!" Xenos shot back at his mechanical partner.

Yasu looked back at Xenos, forgetting to put on the brakes, letting the three of them just float toward the exit. The space thief blinked a few times and tilted her head in query.
"....Do you believe it's a hardware problem, X?"
Yasu had a nickname for pretty much anyone she thought of as a pal to her. Most of them were pretty much generic and/or unoriginal, but it was fitting, given her simple nature. It wasn't out of direspect, but rather a sign of friendliness from her given to those she considered to be her pals.
"So, uh, X? Z? What's the plan, then? Stay here or go to the sick bay?"
Yasu was so amazingly simple, she'd pretty much get nowhere without someone good with machinery and technology around. This situation was no different, only proving Yasu's technological dependence on others.

Quote: Warning... Artificial gravity will be disabled until further notice That was all Xander heard upon his approach, his mind preoccupied with his next meal ticket. Arlen Dilucca, wanted by the earth government for war crimes, as well as acts of piracy, the price on his head; 14,000,000 credits DoA. Floating through the almost dead halls of the Machina Tuatha landing bay, xander pondered as to the location of his prey. Informants told him that he was here, as helpful as that was, that really didn't change the fact that here was a flotilla of various decommissioned colony and command ships. Saying that Dilucca is on Tuatha is about specific as saying that the leader of Earth is on Earth, 'thank you for your astute observation, now can you be a little more specific?' he half chuckled at the thought. He felt as though someone was watching him, but disregarded it due to the overall unfamiliar setting. questioning everyone he encountered if they had seen the man in the picture (Dilucca of course) so far, he hasn't gotten anywhere. Though the feeling that he was being tailed never went away. "Hey we hear you're looking for Arlen." a gruff voice calls out to him, "We can take you to him, for a fee, naturally" Without saying anything, Xander, kicked off the nearest wall towards suspicious fellow, and they make their way into what seems like a forgotten corridor. This was it, he activated the seal on his space suit, activating pressure sensitive sensors. Finding himself surrounded by thugs and miscreants (5 to be exact), he knew what was going on. They formed a neat circle around him, thinking that they could prevent him from running away. Though his assailants couldn't see it though his helmet, he grinned, then drew his rifle. Knowing how gunpowder weapons work in weightless environments, this caused gang to break out laughing. Pointing the rifle backward he flipped a switch on the side of his gun and pulled the trigger, launching the bounty hunter into the nearest thug, leaving a solid metal rod behind. Xander used his deflected momentum to push one of the dudes next to him into wall knocking him out. Having lost two of their cohorts in 13 seconds the rest of the hostiles flea fearing Xander might turn lethality on.

Xenos shifted himself to a more comfortable position. He patted the MARU as he moved, attempt to let the hybrid know that he was still here. The pilot looked up to Yasu and gave a shrug, "I'm hoping its a hardware issue, but knowing my shitty luck. . . It's probably not. What I can do is run a diagnostic test here so at least we know for sure." He motioned over to one of the work tables in the hangar, "Let's put him over there for now."
The MARU whirled, still confused in his own little world. He heard nothing but static, saw Yasu and Xenos talking but he couldn't lip read for the life of him. This was just not 268's day at all.
