After a long period of inactivity due to the loving attention of those IRL, I have returned, albeit however briefly, to answer your question.
Summer is usually when people, especially the teens who make up the bulk of this site, are out and about, hanging out with their friends. Naturally, that means posting and participation online will drop, because the populous' attention is elsewhere.
In small, less educated words, people are busy out having fun.
Now, school is starting, so again, people are going to be busy, what with homework, friends, deciding whether they love, hate or have neutral feelings towards one another and their classes, and figuring out where they're heading in life. Posting isn't everyone's top priority and so activity within the guild suffers.
