HAH! Finally something that seemed to get a little under his skin. Okay, she could work with that when she felt like it at a later date. She just made a mental note of it. The only way to bring it up would be in front of people, so maybe mention it casually around a classroom full of people next time....mind you she wasn't too sure about how he felt about how others looked at him...she'd have to keep an eye on that.
Wilhelmina paused another moment to look him over. She really hadn't been lying when she said he was frail looking....I mean...she was frail looking, but she could back it up with a killer right hook. He didn't look like he had one of those in safe keeping, however she was all for the student body getting involved in activities and clubs so she may as well work with that. "You should. At the least try it out, it may not be for you or you may find you really like it. From what I hear you like protecting your brother so having something that would put confidence in your physical prowess would help that," she said, in no mocking way mind, though it could easily be taken as thus. When it came to boxing she was dead serious. It wasn't something she'd do as a career, but since she wanted to be a police officer it was something she really put a lot into.

For the most part Nathan was keeping his composure calm and reserved. He had been uncertain how Wilhelmina would react to his musing of joining her particular club. Had she reacted aggressively he probably would have returned her reaction with a flippant or mocking one of his own. Having her seriously considering him though...well that may have worked better for his plans to try and weasel his way into the position of 'Utter annoyance' to something more tolerable. Nathan may have enjoyed a small spiteful discussion, but in the end he preferred to walk away leaving a girl with feelings at least less then seething hate.
Nathan's lips started to curl upwards as he planned his next response while listening to Wil talk. However, as his brother would be brought up in the conversation, that self assured expression faltered. Nathan found himself looking to his left where Nicohlas normally rolled his chair. It was simply a habit he had formed when thinking of his little brother, and having Wil bring him up was a bit sobering. There was nothing amusing or funny concerning his brother. So in turn it made it impossible for Nathan to continue to view the conversation as a source of amusement.
"I shall...stop by at the next meeting." He decided slowly. Nathan shifted his feet a little into a starting fencers stance. "I am confident in my balance and agility. I have taken fencing lessons since I was nine. While I do not think this will ensure that I find such a activity easy, I believe it will have a beneficial quality if I were to try your sport." Nathan paused and a strange half smile thinned his lips. "Though if I were to do so Nicholas would never grant me peace until he could do something similar. I am not sure how wise it may be now."

Perhaps it was merely turning the discussion to boxing but she was a lot less aggressive...then again from the start she felt he should join a club, him considering her club (Which was clearly the best club) just made her feel a little more confident in it....besides, since he'd spoken to her already he wouldn't run off after she just opened her mouth.
"Sure, and if you do decide to join I can give you private lessons to catch up with the rest of the guys." Too bad for him the offer wasn't nearly as sexy as it sounded....it would more likely involve her letting him punch boxing mitts....she was willing to bet even if he had balance more likely his physical strength wouldn't even hit par with the rest of the club....but as she said, she'd help with that if he wanted....but at the mentions of his brother being interested she looked away slightly awkwardly. He was in a wheelchair...he couldn't do something like boxing, right? Shouldn't he like...read or something? NO! Sensitive...sensitive! "If he wanted he could come watch too, but I dunno how much he could participate," she said. s**t! Foot in mouth!
(Clearly a VERY different view on wheelchairs than Mark and Julia xD)

Nathan shifted his feet back into a common standing position. It almost felt more awkward now that they were having a polite conversation. Wilhelmina was not a girl he expected to have civil words with. Of course, that did not mean he couldn't appreciate or use this. He supposed all girls had some topic that, no matter how much they may have seemed to dislike you, they could be brought around a bit by it. Nathan lifted his hand and brushed some of his bangs out from his eyes as he mulled over the merits of letting Wil grant him 'private lessons'. Now...in his head he was currently imagining her in a tight tank top and short shorts.... though he had to honestly admit that she most likely would not measure up to his fantasy when it came to the reality. Still. Fencing only taught him quickness and agility. Nathan did not get much strength training, unless someone counted his insistence on being the one to lift and tend to his brother when the requirement arose.
Wil looked away, which did not seem typical of her nature. From what he'd heard, and seen as of today, she wasn't the sort to glance away as if in embarrassment. Clearly the thought of his brother attempting to do something beyond his capabilities did not set well with her anymore then it did himself. Nathan found himself shaking his head a little from side to side. "Nicohlas is intelligent, but he is still a young boy. He does not accept his limitations, which places him in the position to get hurt. As kind as it is for you to offer to let him come and watch I do not believe it would be wise. Nicohlas would likely want to find a way to join in." Nathan's thin smile wavered a little more. "He does look up to me quiet a bit. So I must be careful as his inspiration that I do not lead him down a path where he will be hurt." Nathan dropped his gaze downwards a little. While he was attempting to look a bit sullen, it was sort of hard not to feel a little warm sensation in his head when he found himself almost glancing at Wil's chest.
"I will see if I can arrange something else for Nicohlas to be distracted with during the club meetings... Perhaps...there is a theater club is there not?" Nathan lifted his head and he glanced down the hall in search of those annoying brightly colored xeroxed papers that, in his opinion, made the hallway look so ugly. "Nicohlas enjoys sewing, I am sure he could get wrapped up making costumes to the point I'll have to remind him to go to bed at a proper hour." That could work.... it was a relief that Wilhelmina at least understood that Nicholas had limitations, unlike others his little brother was attempting to hang around with now.

Oh thank god! She knew a lot of people said 'He can do anything anyone else can' but she just didn't see it! I mean....they were already in a chair....what if they got MORE hurt? Geeze.....things like that always made her feel super awkward...
"Yea, there's theater clubs or cooking clubs or..." she paused to think. What else didn't you need legs for? "Oh, computer clubs, book clubs, choir, band...." Okay, so she wasn't really the most caring about things other than sports. She was great with physical things but....well she could burn water. She once set a toaster on fire.....since she was banished from cooking classes. "Oh, he could do something like coach you, like make up exercise routines or nutrition diets," she said thoughtfully. Wow...she really was not thinking before she spoke....but she couldn't help it! She knew how it was to look up to someone and want to be a part of their life even if it was just helping in some obscure way.
"You could just try talking to the drama teacher and she might just ask Nicohlas to do costumes whenever they get ready for a performance," she said thoughtfully.

Nathan merely nodded his head slowly. There were a good many clubs that Nicohlas could become involved in. It was merely a matter of checking them out and ensuring that they were suitable for his brothers company. Nathan was not going to assume that just because it was a school run club that everything was in proper order. For all he knew someone could smoke or do drugs, or act far to lasciviously or crude. He would never allow his little brother to be exposed to such elements! Nathan's brooding thoughts were interrupted a bit by Wilhelmina's suggestions on how his brother could aid in his training. That wane half smile that lacked the typical self assured confidence touched his lips once more.
"Our diet is very balanced, I can assure you. Besides, I am afraid Eugene would never allow Nicohlas to direct her what we ought to eat. It's hard enough getting her to give Nico a before dinner snack at times." Nathan made a half dismissive motion with his left hand before tucking it down into his pants pocket. "If he shows a interest though, I may let him sew me up some sort of proper exercise outfit. I do not believe I have anything currently that would be proper for your lessons." He paused and withdrew his hand from his pocket. Pressed to his palm was a small black cellphone. Holding the unadorned object up, he tilted his head a little. "Could I perhaps have your number? So I might call you tonight with my schedule? I would like to set up some lessons before I go to your club and embarrass myself by not know what names are for what or something like that."

"Oh...she said a little sheepishly. Rats....she really wasn't so good with things like that...in her mind someone that couldn't walk....well...what else could they do but things like arts and crafts and non strenuous activities? s**t, his legs already didn't work....what if the rest of him got broken too?
"Oh, right," she said, tearing a bit off one of the sheets of paper in her bag. She quickly jotted down her number in a rather messy fashion and handed it to him. Ahh....sports...possibly the only thing that would make her give out her number. Even Shin-Lu was still vying for her personal cell number, all she had was the house number....which meant Wil wouldn't have to be afraid of too many 'So....what colour panties you wearin?' calls. Honestly she didn't know if Shin-Lu meant it or what....
She slung her bag over her shoulder again, "You're brother is welcome to come watch any time her wants." There, she was being generous! Usually she kicked watchers out since they got in the way, distracted the club members, and were usually just there to ogle her. Nico was twelve though. It was highly unlikely that he would be looking at her lady-bits.

Nathan took the scrap of paper and carefully folded it into a inner pocket. Now that he had Wil's number...well that was a accomplishment in and of itself sure! The ploy for getting numbers had to be changed up to match the girl right? Wilhelmina was surely a challenge, and Nathan felt accomplished in achieving it. "I will let Nicohlas know that you have given him permission. he has been after me lately to let him watch some other sporting type things. I blame it on his current associations but...I would rather he be where I can keep an eye on him at least." Nathan gave his pocket a small pat and winked once at Wilhelmina. "Now then..I am going to go and see about getting some appropriate cloths for our sessions. Shall I call you this weekend to set up a meeting time?"
Nathan smiled brightly at Wil. If nothing else, this could be a bit of fun. Boxing would be a odd sort of hobby to take up..but if he took too many hits to the face he'd drop it like a hot plate.

She shrugged. "It's natural for men to exhibit interest in sporting activities even if they can't--" she froze, her eyes widening a little. Oh god, did she really just....? "Even if they aren't very....good with sports or have any interest in playing or..." she broke off again. She needed to stop talking....but in her defense he really COULDN'T play sports....he was in a wheel chair! He would wind up getting himself hurt, or falling out of his chair, or something! (Clearly a very different belief than Mark and Jules xD)
She coughed and tried to ignore her slightly flushing cheeks. "Uh, yes. Friday after school I have a student council meeting, but you can call after that. Or if you'd rather we can plan to go to a gym on Saturday." Actually the school suited her better. The facilities were more specific to boxing than gyms. Plus of course the school also had weights and a track for warming up.

Nathan had to hold back the grin that wanted to curl his lips. Wilhelmina was making a few mistakes clearly. She was stumbling over her words and seemed to be almost blushing. It was good to see her clearly so vulnerable, it meant that her exterior shell had been breached. As far as Nathan could tell, she was always calm and composed. Perhaps he had managed to reach in to her a bit further then she was expecting. Now all he had to do was make certain to not make some sort of err on his part. He did not want to have to start all over after all.
Nathan nodded his head as Wil attempted to recover her small embarrassment. "Nicohlas is more suited to study and less active hobbies. You are correct though, it is natural for him to exhibit interest. I should not prohibit him from at least observing, he will in due time realize that his talents are clearly elsewhere." He gently offered. Ah...hmm. School or perhaps the gym?
"I shall give you a call and allow you to set up the details. You are the teacher in this yes?" He rather cheerfully remarked. There, Wilhelmina seemed like the sort that liked to be in control, so he'd not try to take that away from her..yet. Nathan batted a wink at her and took a step back. "Until friday then. I look forwards to our lessons!" Feeling pleased and a little cocky, Nathan turned away from Wil and began to strut down the hall. This had turned out to be such a excellent encounter!

Ahh, Nathan flattered himself. Wilhelmina merely knew how frequently she stuck her foot in her mouth and knew well enough those with disabilities often hated to be treated as thus. However....she couldn't see someone with a disability as anything other than someone that needed help and couldn't really do nearly as much as she could. It was a bit of a sheltered way of thinking, but they were already injured and weak....she couldn't see anyone like that doing something like sports.
She relaxed a little that Nathan agreed with her way of thinking. She cleared her throat and regained her composure completely, her icy look back in place. "That is fine then," she said stiffly. "I'll set the gym up, it should be empty by the time I finish council issues." Truthfully she usually worked out after meetings. Most knew that well enough and simply avoided it after Friday meetings. She was often extra irritable after spending all that time with Shin-lu in particular.
With that she nodded and turned on her heels, heading the opposite direction.
